~Happy, Sad Day~

Today was a good day for me and kinda sad for my girl Penny.

One of her clients, Bob, passed away this morning.. He was on

his way home from of all places the HellHome where I was.
They had put him in there from hospital to recuperate from

congestive heart failure. He was going home for a few days

to see how things went.. He died in the car on the drive home.
They didn't get oxygen to him fast enough and by the time

the medics got to him he was gone.. Penny, needless to say, is

very upset.. She really liked Bob and he was the one I sent my

COA dinners to that I didn't eat.. Its a shame but it shows you

just how fast things can happen..

A very dear friend.. was at work, suddenly the sight in his left

eye was gone.. It went from gray to black. He had a clot in his

artery to his eye.. He will never get sight back in it.. I know the

feeling as I am blind in my left eye.. He is now as well.. I feel so

badly for him..but hes got to be grateful it wasn't both .. life goes

on and this shows you just how fast things can happen too.. that we

need to make sure we do what we need to every second... make

them count.. you may NOT have another.. Bob doesn't...

The good part of today.. well 2 things.. I called COA which was a

good and bad call.. Apparently Millie did NOT write my appointment

in for Wednesday to go shopping.. Well I had a appointment this

week Thursday to go to the Dr. it was at 4:15.. I am NOT good at

that time of day to be dragged off to a drs office.. So I phoned

and agreed to go up to the office in Portage, just down the road..

I now have an appointment for 9 am on Wednesday.. So when I

called and talked to the ONE sane person they have at COA its

Nora, she made arrangements for Sharon to be here Wednesday

at 8:15 to drive me to the drs. Hopefully on the way back Sharon

will let me stop at wal mart for a while to see whats in there or

even Goodwill Id be happy.. so THAT is done, fixed and set up..:-)

Ok NOW, my 2nd goodie for today.. I NOW have free HBO and

STARZ for a year, my Internet cost is cut in half for 6 months

and those extra charges were taken off.. I had a email from Mark

with Comcast, that I dealt with before.. was cute to read his

mail.. "Hi AGAIN Lois"... I had to smile.. It said to write to a

email addy which I did. I got a call from a young man named Nate,

hes in Grand Rapids.. not far..I explained all the SERIOUS issues

I was having with COMCAST.. he agreed I was NOT getting the

best service.. Very nice man.. And he solved my problems hopefully.
I will now have 6 HBO and 6 STARZ channels to watch.. Is that

great or what.. I am most happy this is resolved .. Nate assured

me if I have ANY kind of problem to email him.. which I most

surely will .. I PRAY I don't have any more crap with them .. I

just cannot stand the stress from it all.. But they were in the

wrong in their treatment of me.. My cable will now only cost me

42.oo a month.. I am MOST happy.. Now if I get this chair issue

solved and I will really be a happy camper!!

I did get another mail that I was most pleased to get. it was from

my oldest son, Richard. I was so glad to hear from him.. All is well

there and my grandson is going to have a birthday next month.. I

don't know the date as they havent told me and I am waiting to

hear back so I can be sure to wish him the happiest of birthdays.

From what my son said they are making a trip to Disneyland.. I

KNOW Danny will have the best time there.. I wonder if they have

room for me to tag along :-) I need a holiday :-) plus spending

time with them would be most wonderful..

Well it was early up again, my other son Donnie phoned me at 5:30

am to get some info he forgot to get last nite that he needed.. He

was on his way to work and he knows I'm up early. He needed the

info before he went to work so that's why he phoned so early. Its

always nice to talk to him no matter what time the boy calls me, hes

doing fine.. there are problems there too but I have not asked for

permission to discuss them here yet, I like to do that so if he or

anyone reads it they know I am going to mention it and wont be
upset.But I will ask as its another of making the most of the
time you have.

So much activity today and this lady is kinda tired and in need of

getting out of this chair.. Maybe now with the relief of this cable

issue and my monthly bill being reduced I can get my recliner

sooner.. I hope so.. I may just get rid of the bed so that we can

fix it up and get it all fixed before I get a chair.. if I cant get

one.. well my couch isnt that bad.. Its over 30 years old.. but still

a great one.. My mother bought it in 1978 to be exact.. and its

lasted all these years and sit on it? you would think it was brand

new.. My boys love to lay on it :-) Ive slept on it many times.. I

will get my plan of attack down pat then I will start to do what

I have to do but it has to be done in order or it will throw the

whole attack off :-)

My next attack is in the kitchen, I'm hungry and as much as I was

on the phone today I didn't eat.. Plus I have 12 MOVIE channels

in there to watch.. This is so good.. I'm most pleased.. Time to end

this and to say my GORGEOUS WEEBLE GRATEFUL "nitey nite".
