~Thinkin of Goin~

The red is from the mouse lazer ..
Nice fall day today. Warm even. Says on the TV that all this
week it will be in the 80s. That will slow the leaves down.
My trees in back are slowly turning.. Its so pretty outR
there . My sis just got back from a trip to the UP and
said it was a nice ride with all the fall colors. If I don't
have any more times like the past few days I might
consider taking the fall leaves tour with COA... Carla
said its really nice... I think they even stop and have
lunch.. which I wouldn't be able to eat anything.. That
would NOT be a good idea if I am on the road. My
stomach is not predictable at all and well I wont take
any chances and I don't think I would starve to death
not having lunch :-) But I am seriously thinking of going.
Ive been trying to reach everyone this week end, the
boy, and my son, and kids just stay so busy. I think this
is the end of the racing season for Donnie, if it hasnt ended
already. I know hes been working diligently on his garage.
Plus hes getting that new wood stove. It will heat his
house, garage, and water. Its a new kind of burner that
uses green wood.. Green wood, in any other kind of wood
stove is not good.. burns fast and doesn't put off a good
heat... Dry, seasoned wood, burns slower and puts off a
great heat.. plus depends on what kind of wood too.. Oak
of course is the best.. But his new stove should pay for
itself in no time.. But this thing cost 7000.oo... and he says
its well worth the money he will save. He gets the wood
for nothing from friends or goes out and cuts his own..
Me, I had a wood stove and I didn't like it at all.. I have
burns on both arms from mine, not counting the mess, but
my stove was right in the middle of the living room...

That wood stove was our only heat in our house in Elkhart.
Willies and mine. Was only a few blocks from the lake too.
Lovely house, would be most accessible for me now.. it was
all one floor, 3 bedrooms.. and almost 2 acres. Great place.
But that wood stove.. well I called it every thing but what it
was.. so did Kimmie.. Donnie and Kimmie lived with us for over
a year.. till just before Kelli was born.. Kimmie HATED that
wood stove and refused to be home alone because then she
would have to keep it going.. She was home one day but Willie
was asleep.. he told her "You keep that stove goin now girl..
I don't want to get cold!" Well Kimmie panicked.. she didn't
know what to do.. If that stove went out and Willie woke up
to a cold house, well we ALL would hear it for days... So she
knew she had to...

A few hours later I came back to find Willie still asleep and
poor Kimmie was sitting right next to that stove opening it
every few minutes to make sure it was still going.. she had a
pile of wood next to her that she was steady feeding that
stove.. Tears running down her face, crying, she was so upset.
Kimmie was very emotional at this time, she was expecting
Kelli.. :-) She jumped up when she saw me and told me what
Willie had said which really intimidated her.. Willie was sort
of a tyrant... we all stepped around him.. I went over to the
stove, looked at and it was fine.. she had done good.. but
that poor kid had stayed home to get laundry and some other
things done, but she was so scared that stinkin stove would
go out she stayed right next to it the whole time.. I laughed
but then I wasn't intimidated by Willie... He knew how I felt
about that thing.. and I didn't hesitate to tell him.. We had
a tree service so we got all our wood free. Plus we sold it too.
But for a guy, theyre ok.. for me.. or for poor Kimmie..well we
are NOT woodstove people :-)

My son, has been very busy and not been in touch as much as
I would like but well.. mothers have to have patience :-) He
just started a new job which is always most stressful.. I am
very happy though that he likes it.. There is nothing worse
than working a job you don't like, but work because you have
to.. I did that when I was in Tampa.. I was a waitress for all
of ONE week.. and they were so glad I quit, I had that place
in turmoil constantly.. I was NOT meant to be a waitress... I
know Tyler has started school too which is always hard to
watch your little ones going off to school..Time goes so fast
and it just doesn't seem to be enough time to even enjoy it..
Well I sent a email and hopefully I will hear from him soon.
Donnie? Well its not long distance to call him like it is Mark,
so I will give them a ring later today hes got to go to sleep
so I will catch him at home later..

I'm done for today and I am so glad that the Phantoms are
gone.. There is nothing worse than pain that's there but NOT
there... but its done.. and I hope be gone for a while.. I plan
to fix some fish for my dinner with some more of my yellow
squash.. That will be a nice Sunday dinner... I watched my
net flix yesterday so I don't have a movie for today.. so its
just some TV.. first some dinner.. no .. first to post this..
THEN dinner... no no.. first my GORGEOUS WEEBLE
"Nitey Nite"! I'll get it straight :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and Thanks :-)
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You", is my prayer today.
I'm so honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

I once had a loft on Hester Street in nyc. It was a cold water loft so it was heated with pot-bellied stoves. Wilhelmena van Ness had the loft beneath mine. Her family has been in USA since the 16th century dutch arrived. There is a b&w film called Hester Street. you might ssee if Net flix has it on dvd.

    Hi, Honey,
The Autumn here is a much more subtle affair than the Fall in the U.S.A. The trees change colour slowly, so that there are many subtle shades of green, yellow and brown. It's not as dramatic as your fall, but delightful nonetheless.
As usual, you look absolutely stunning in that grey outfit. You DO know how to dress to look just your best. Thank you, Honey.
    Take care, Honey,
    Luv Ya,
    Raife
