~We Skipped Spring~ :-)

I was sitting at my usual favorite spot in the

kitchen, having a coffee and listening to the

radio.. We are under the gun for a bad storm

headed dead at us.. I went to wunderground

and looked at the radar and yup.. RED.. I saw

where its even worse north of me.. Up by

Grand Rapids and Muskegon.. That's a pretty

town.. Right on the lake.. They get a lot of

lake effect stuff.. specially snow.. And if this

radar is right .. Theyre having some bad crap

too.. Said up to 50 mph winds.. I hope we don't

lose power.. When I hear that stuff, the first

thing I do is look at the power gauge on my

chair.. Just to make sure its fully charged, in

case power does go out.. I keep my manual

chair right here too.. Covered with a quilt..no

one would really know it was a wheelchair. I

only have a couch in my living room for any

one to sit on, so my manual wheelchair is an

extra place to sit.. Of course before I let

any one sit in it I make sure they know its a

wheelchair AND I make sure the brake is

set.. Sometimes when Penny has to move it

to get into the closet, she might forget to

set the brake and this is a concrete slab

under this carpet.. hitting the floor here

sure would hurt.. Its not thick carpet and

not thick padding under it.. Hit this floor

hard enough and you could, well I could too,

seriously break something.. And I KNOW
I don't want that to happen! :-) With this

storm approaching its gotten so dark outside

the street lights have come on... Me thinks

tis rally gonna storm out there :-) Joys of

spring, summer or what ever ... I think we

skipped spring.. :-)

Penny found another bird bath !! Price is higher

of course.. I paid 6 dollars last year.. Penny says

its 10 now.. AND I havta get sand.. I wonder if

Donnie kept that bag I gave him.. Well maybe he

could get some sand out of his lake ! :-) or off the

shore or somewhere.. To buy a bag for the bird

bath, I only used 1/4th of the one I got last year

for the one out there now... I bet the price of sand

has gone up too! Wasn't that much.. I don't really

remember how much.. Less than 5 dollars I think..
I know the base HAS to have weight in it.. or it

will fall over. I maybe will give the boy a call tonite,

besides asking about the sand I want to make sure

he made it back from Wisconsin... I like to check...

I know Kelli is back, but I'm not sure if she even

went anywhere ! I forgot to ask ! :-)

Carla from COA was due today and its redone for

next week.. Monday.. 9:30.. I like having a day alone

in between the busy days.. well the days when Penny

is here.. I like to have Tuesday and Thursday AND

the week end as quiet days.. I love the company days

too.. but I kinda like when I lay in bed later on the "off"

days, when I'm done with my daily body scan or feel

I guess I should say.. Well maybe scan is better :-)
But I check my self out for any new aches or pains

and to see if the ones I had the day before are better

or worse :-) Then I think about what is on my schedule

for the day.. I don't schedule anything for afternoons..

Only one comes by after 1 is the boy.. and usually by

the time he gets here its after 6 sometimes.. Hes

special.. and can come by anytime. :-)

Penny brought some of her left over Easter dinner.
Ham, baked beans, green bean casserole and some

mashed potatoes and gravy... It was WONDERFUL!
Shes a very good cook.. The ham was very moist..

the green bean casserole I havent had since I don't

know how long.. been awhile.. I don't make it for

my self, which you would think I would as much as I
like it.. She put onion strings on it too.. Which I gave,

well shared with her. I may have her make that for

me tomorrow when she comes.. I think I have all the

stuff I need.. I KNOW I have a few cans of green

beans.. I like the French style best...The thin slivers

kind.. I'm thinking of this, KNOWING there are STILL

some left in the fridge.. I just might HAVE to have

the rest for lunch.. :-) Theres a little of everything

left in the fridge... :-)

This GORGEOUS WEEBLE is hungry now.. :-) so you

know what that means.. Post time, and for my usual
