~ PMP Moments~

Well it was for a few minutes today a PMP moment.. And I

for one do NOT like them at all.. In case you dont know what

a PMP Moment is... hmm well..lets see..Its one of those things

that happens all of a sudden and scares you REALLY BAD?.

and your butt tightens up, you kinda GULP...and you have a Pee

MY Pants Moment ?? :-) Lord..IHATE those...They just make

your heart just pound all of a sudden and you don't for a split second

know just WHAT to do FIRST...I HATE those...

Well today,I am all involved on the computer and the apartment building

smoke alarm goes off with a flashing light, and loud BUZZZZ...well

fooey.. I go rolling out to the door..looking for the boys of course to

see where they are.. Not knowing should I try to hem them up first..

then check to see what is going on...Which I should have made them

safe first ..to be honest, and they are running TO the door...

Anyway.I roll up to the door to the hallway..peek out thru the little peek

hole ...and see the lady across the hall peeking out her door..so I open

MY door a little, I hear coming down the hall apartment to apartment..

"ITS ONLY A TEST!" The lady across the hall says "HUH? well WHY

didn't they tell us?" I just shook my head..and closed the door, BUT this

sure has got me to thinking..AGAIN.. ok ok don't say it.."ARRRGHHH

here SHE goes AGAIN " :-) lol... What was wrong with this picture?...

Well..first.yes.they should have informed us.but.what else? I DO NOT

have ANY renters insurance..FIRST and.I just went..unlocked my door.

and opened it..What if there was someone set the alarm off? was out in

the hall? This made me stop and think...The lady across the hall did too..

And what if there was a fire out there and by us opening our doors would

feed it..and the whole place go up? ...This is something that gave me

cause for pause you know? What should I exactly do- if that bloody alarm

does go off for real?

I think I should have put the boys safely in the bathroom where their

carrier is..hem them up in there..THEN..go and see if the hall is full of

smoke..and take it from there.. They dont have any sort of fire drill thing

here.. There are 2 entrances.. but both on the same end of the apt..

down on this end..are only the 2 bedroom windows in here...Makes me

really think.The other tennants are all disabled too you know-in ALL sorts

of ways if you know what I mean? But seriously,I think I need to do some

thinking about this... AND first thing tomorrow I AM calling to get some

insurance.I dont have nuthin.but if I had to replace it would cost me alot..

and Penny's HAS been burgled..she lives next door... I hope I never get

robbed..but you know the famous saying.."stuff" happens....better to be

safe than sorry..If you have a family member or friend lives alone and

in a apt.make sure they have a plan of escape.its really NOT a bad Idea.

They could have warned us tho..that wasnt fair, I bet everyone in here

today had a PMP moment..just like me and if they say no ..well I DONT

believe them..:-)

I bet ,, well I KNOW...I am NOT the only one who's heart about falls out

when they hear any kind of alarm go off...its a scarey thing.. but I need to

get organized.. plan of attack like I do when I want to move or do some

thing here .. I have to plan how I am going to accomplish things.. and to

get the boys in the bathroom at the same time when a smoke alarm goes

off is NOT easy..I HAVE set MINE off and LB runs HOWLING under the

bed.lol...Ok ok I admit it..I have done some ..well not real bright things..

I told you I have the knobs taped down to my back burners so I dont

turn them on...wellll thats why lolol...makes my smoke detectors go off.

lol..well? "Stuff Happens"...:-) I need a plan of attack. :-)

And whats happenin NOW? yup..I sent Rae to the store today..and she

got some Strawberry Fig Newton Cookies..And I tried one a while ago..

well...guess where I am headed? lol..Thanks for all your great comments

and kind sweet words..Y'all just make my day...I HOPE you know that..

Anyways.. lets be safe...hunker down..get all snuggly warm...find a good

show to watch...have a snack..and then FALL ASLEEP lolol...what ?
