~TO DO-TA DA-~ lol...
I was sitting here thinking of my TO DO list..and this thing gets longer every day.. I think I need to quit adding to it.. I think the biggest thing on this list of course is doing ,, well re-doing this apartment..I need a plan of attack or plan to move lol... I would consider moving..but it would have to be a place with a better area and better care but at the same as what its costing me now..So I can support myself and know I have enough to provide for myself and the boys.. . Spring is coming and I think of that great Lanai or little patio I stole from the end of the driveway when I lived in Indiana , and before all this happened...The OTHER WORLD..It was a condo, my ex and I lived on one side, his sister and her family lived on the other..made it nice we all got along really well..so it was nice sharing the backyard, Laura was a garden nut too..She did great things with her side. The drive went down the side of the condo to the end of the building..all paved.. The back entrance was there down about 8 steps or so...I made a flower bed there between the steps and driveway and divided off the end of it with some planter boxes and plants got a umbrella table and chairs..then put a little fence at the very end of the driveway and I had a nice spot..On the side opposite the back door the neighbor had a stockade wooden fence.. so that was a nice side for my Lanai..as he said I could hang flowers or whatever I wanted on it... It was a wonderful spot.. At the end of the driveway just on the other side of my little fence I made, was a big Oak tree..just wonderfully huge.. seemed liked it covered the whole back yard...gave a nice shade in the hot afternoon...At the base of it I planted some daisies that stuck out between the roots.. was so pretty on the lower branches I had hung some bird feeders and houses.. Just past the tree on the left side, was the bird bath.. it was cement. that belonged to my mother. I remember when she first put it out in the back yard, my nephew was a baby, that was back in 1957. I remember my mother yelling in the back door "Lois!! Come see this HUGE bird in the bird bath.. HURRY!!!" I ran as fast as I could - to see my nephew Michael , he was about 9 months old or so..sitting in it...splashing and having a wonderful time...It looked just the same, except my nephew wasnt sitting in it.. I liked seeing it out there tho... This is what I miss alot..Everyday, even sometimes in the rain, I sat out there for morning coffee, or at sunset time.. I would weed my flower beds..and just sit and listen how quiet it all was...listen to the sounds around me the birds especially loved my back yard, they ate, and slept and took birdbaths..they had it made there and sure let me know they were happy-was great. Here we see parking lots, and dumpsters for the businesses for their trash...We arent allowed to have chairs outside, well there is not enough cement for one , but when they cut the grass they need to be able to just zip up and down out there and not go around furniture or toys or stuff people put outside in the summer..I would love to have a screened in Lanai..so the boys could go out too..Now, if ALL this was by a lake..or even by a river..what a great place that would be...*sigh* This is called SPRING FEVER...lol...I am seriously thinking of calling my sister in law and see if she will come and do some spring cleaning for me..Shes really good..Her house is ALWAYS perfect.. I dont know anyone else that does it..I just would LOVE to have this place put in order..get rid of all the clutter...lol...I am back to the same thing.. I have to make out a plan of attack again..lol..seems to work best for me...Since this cold I am not sure how much I can do myself. lol...But I sure would like to get some attacking done... Time to attack that bed behind me.. I found a pretty good way to lay last nite..I had pillows up behind my back on my left side that I kinda laid on..was comfortable and then put the feather pillow under my right a little..I slept for a few hours, pretty good, till my back started aching again...I just have to keep looking for a good position...this flippin mattress is gonna get flipped here pretty soon, over or out the door LOL.. :-) Nitey Nite...Like the tour of my yard? :-) Y'all have a good one now Y'hear? Luv Ya!!! and Thanks! :-) Always, Lois**** May God Bless you today, I'm so honored to call you friend, I pray the Lord will keep you safe, Until I write again... | |||

Hi Gray, yes, but its all worth it, to have a nice pretty yard says so much about the people that live there. Makes the passerby think "Hmmm these people LIKE their home".
I'll come help ya...I loved working in my gardens.Just find me a little wagon to scoot around in.. :-) I have green thumbs you know..
Hope you have a good day today..:-)

I have to clean my back yard and plant the sorrel in back In front I will plant carribean spinach and Indian spinach. I still have a lot in the freezer from last year. I will frame all the spinach with marigolds. I'll be planting in the middle of April.

Morning Momar...Marigolds are proven to be one of the best to keep bugs off your flowers etc. and the more you take the used flowers off them the more they will bloom. save the flowers and plant them next year..
Hope you have a good day..
Always, Lois..
