Amputee life before and after...

~My Pets~

Well squeaky clean again.. We were and have been pretty good
here and not living like piggies lol...I just wish I could train the boys
into cleaning up after themselves.. I have NEVER had such a sloppy
eater as Dutch.. LB stays in one spot but Dutch he almost attacks
his food..really likes it if its a little hard to bite it and he will just
chomp down and rip it apart...lol. Like one of those huge ones, a
lion or whatever... Raelynn is doing a wonderful job and she is alot
of company.. We talk alot and even have lunch together while she
is here.. She keeps me nice and tidy and she should get more than
what she does to help me, so I dont push that she constantly work
work work.. ..We are discussing a trip to London..She said she
would gladly go with me to help me, but shes in the same pickle
as me..we are Poor Pickles LOL...Funny when I mentioned it to
her she said the same thing I did "when I win the lottery, Lois, we
will go to London, my treat".. well...needless to say I hope she or
I win the lottery!!! I should start playing it..never know maybe the
Lottery Gods will smile on me and give me millions..Boy would I
travel then.. I would go to London, and Norway, Sweden, Germany,
Austria, France, Italy, all over Europe even South America I would
LOVE to just travel.. I think the only way to get over this phobia of
flying is to just do it... I can just imagine the cost to take those trips
tho.. I did price to London..and WOW..I was floored.. alot an
AWFUL lot..I was a bit disappointed at how much I had hoped was
cheaper but its close to 1000. usd.. thats alot for me anyway..Its
nice to daydream...

The lady that brought my lunch today made me so jealous.. She loves
animals.. and has like 6 dogs..4 cats, birds. goats, horses, you name
it. BUTTTTT she has 3 week old German Shepherd pups..The parents
are well bred and registered and the parents are from Germany. I have
a friend that I knew before and he got shepherds from there that were
THE most awesome Shepherds I have ever seen.. I think Shepherds
are my favorite..Ive had 4 in my life, Silver Bell..Jesse & Jake the twins
and Greta.. Beautiful dogs.. I am eligible to get a helper dog and if I
was in a better outside location I would seriously consider getting one.
I honestly miss not having a dog.. Cats love you .,but there is just some
thing about how a dog loves you..you can SEE it..and they sure let you
know..Cats do to but in THEIR own way and time.. My special friend
was Brandy, my white Shitzu.. first pic up there..I had her 15 years..She
was a love.. I really miss that girl..she was always by my side.. She got
deathly ill when I moved from TX to IN and I had no choice but to put
her down to save her the agony of a slow painful death..I loved her alot.
The others as you go down are Brandy and SilverBell..then my twins,
Jesse and Jake..then Greta.. the German beauty.. all great kids..

Anyway, the lunch girl told me today the mother of the pups wont nurse
them , she has 6 babies.. Oh,, and she has 5 baby kitties 5 weeks old..
how lucky can one person get? I am so jealous.. well she said last week
she had to deliver lunch she had no one to bottle feed the baby puppies
so she took them in to the senior center and while she was gone all the
people in there fed and took care of the puppies for her and they all had
the best time she said..they loved it. SO you KNOW what I said,, if you
know me...I told her I could babysit for a few hours for her babies.. and I
would LOVE to take care of one or two of them... Can you see Dutch
and LB with a puppy? i dont think LB would care.. but Dutch? well he, I
think would get a bit pissy.. Donnie was here last nite with Jerky and
LB just ran off and hid..Dutch? no no he FOLLOWED jerky around,,
and Jerky is used to Dawns cat..so he went right up to Dutch..yeah..
you KNOW what my boy did..he took a slap at Jerkys nose and his
nail got hooked and boy talk about a MAD dog and cat! But Dutch
was NOT afraid of him.. He stood his ground like a little man..his back
arched, his tail went all fuzzy , ears down and he was sayin "come on"
I know he was.. Rotten child lol...he's my boy... But I think with a puppy
he would be fine.. Its amazing how an adult animal knows and sees
babys whether they are animal , or human.. They just seem to know..
well she will be here again friday and said she will bring the boys treats.
They were waiting for her today.. sitting at the door..she thinks thats so
cute.. I hope I get to babysit one of those babys.. I told her I would baby
sit a kittie too...but their mom does take good care of them...

I was discussing this property I want to buy here by me..with all the land
and houses and we talked about all the possibilities with it..and Raelynn
agrees there is alot we could do with it.. I asked her if I had a place like
that would she consider helping and even living there ..of course she
agreed since she is a animal lover too.. She is spoiling my boys..Dutch
steady wants to play "string" as she calls it..but what it is..is she drags
a string around and Dutch just follows her all over lol...they both have a
good time at that... This place has so many things that could be done
with it and its a lovely place.. and of course on the water..a great lake..
well its just something else I would buy with my lottery winnings ..But I
honestly think this place I want would benefit so many people challenged
and everyone.. I think it could be a good thing.. I guess I could start
taking up a collection lol... hmmm that might take awhile I think I should
just stick to winning the lottery ..:-) yeah like WE KNOW that will just
happen too :-)

I had soft tacos for lunch from taco bell..its been along time since Ive
had anything from there and I really enjoyed that today.. was a nice
change from burgers although I do love them.. I would like a burger
from Applebees, but the way they treated me the last time I was in there
I dont know if I want to spend a dime in there even though their food is
really good and they have those onion petals I love.. I had a horrible
experience in the one here in town and I couldnt believe they had NO
special place for a wheelchair to be put at a table with out sticking
out like a sore thumb..They sat me at the last table by the kitchen in
and out door and every time someone came out they hit my chair
with the door..of course they apologized but they could have found a
better place for me..I was really disappointed and I just wont go back.
I did tell them when we left that I was seriously saddened at the nice
restaurant they had there..but not a decent place to put a wheel chair
so I or anyone could enjoy their meal..They offered to give me my
lunch for free and Mary's but we paid for it.. I just wont go back or
give them ANY kind of referral to another amputee , just the opposite
but then maybe another Applebees might have a better spot for a
person in a chair.. I bet alot of restaurants dont even think of that..
Its so conspicuous to go in a place and be set out in full view and
then watch while they make a special place by moving tables and
chairs etc.. Then EVERYONE in there sure notices you..

I was not sure what I was going to write about but I say that every nite
and I always find something to put here lol.. I know I know.. I just have
so much to yak about lol..no wonder I can write every single day lol..
well I am done writing for this one.. and I have a taco left from lunch
and I am gonna go and nuke it and get a soda and EAT IT..lol..then
write my good nites and log off this puter and watch tv and wait for my
phone call from Australia.. I LOVE telephones.. lol... so im off to get
that taco..and there goes Dutch. lol.. hitting publish...Nitey nite :-)

Y'all have a good one now Y'hear? LUV YA!!! and THANKS!!!
Always, Lois****

May God Bless you today,
I'm so honored to call you friend,
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

I have a lot of nice memories too of the animals I grew up with. I wish we could have a dog for my daughter to grow up with, but we are out of the house too much.

I had a huge and capable Maine Coon cat growing up. The neighbor's dachsund used to pseter her aggressively. One summer the dog bit her, so she grabbed his neck with her front paws and clawed his belly so badly that he later died from an infection. It was a horrible thing. The neighbors never forgave us.

    Those puppies would be fun.

    Morning Gray,
I have had pets all my life. I always was allowed to have a cat in the summer but come winter time they always seemed to just run away, I found out later my dad would take them out to the farm and leave them lol..

A dog has NO chance against a cat. specially when they are armed (have claws) My big burmese, Skeeter, in that photo with Kelli a while back I saw him attack a huge german shepherd.. he ran at that dog..jumped straight up in the air and landed on that dogs face nothing but teeth and claws..almost blinded the dog.. The neighborhood dogs were
very afraid of my cat..and he KNEW it.. lol..He would strut his stuff when he prowled I watched him. When I was outside when I lived by the lake in Indiana I had a parade behind me of 3 cats and 2 dogs most of the time lol..Pets are such a good thing..

An older dog..one rescued could be a help to the dog and give you still the freedom you need. There are many whos owners have passed. so lost looking for someone to love and love them.. consider that Gray. Dogs love you so good.. :-)

Hope you have a good day...
    Always, Lois ****
