~Lazy Sunday~

I was bad today and did not take a new photo.. I am very
sorry, you will have to just put up with one I took the 4th,
just a different pose.. I told you I take at least 5 or 6 photos
and then I pick the one I like the best..and sometimes I just
keep them all which in a case like today I am glad I did.. I
was going to take a new photo today and just didn't get
around to doing it..I guess I was just plain lazy.. :-) My hair
looks like totally ugly today and I just didn't take the time
to fix it and I had on ugly clothes and like I said I was just
plain lazy today.. I haven not done one thing..But itsnt that
what Sundays are for? To get you all rested up to go and
face monday morning and another week of work?

I have to honestly say I dont miss going to work.. I sit here
sometimes in the morning and I watch the traffic of those I
know are going to work, fighting the road conditions or
the other sleepy workers on the road.. I dont miss that one
little bit.. I worked since I was 12 years old and I dont mind
working at all.. I was a good employee I did what I got paid
to do and did a good job to earn that pay. My first job was
just as a babysitter. I babysat for the principle of the high
school and the minister of our church..then I added to that
when I got older - ironing..I did that every monday nite right
after school...

My cousin June paid me to do her ironing for her, she was
very busy, was a beautician and gave piano lessons..My
cousin Bob worked for the mine of course, but in the
office. I liked to iron..I did all the ironing at home for my
mother.. I liked doing Junes' as her son Bobby was just
2 years younger than me and he was one of my very best
favorite cousins..we got along so good.. I would walk home
from school with him and we would have the best time.. He
would come down the basement where I did the ironing
and keep me company most of the time.. I hated ironing
his blue jeans and told him that..and he would laugh.. I would
tease him and tell him I would put a big huge scorch mark
right on the butt and he wouldnt know it and wear them to
school.. I know he checked his jeans every time after that :-)

Bobby would come out to the cottage my parents had and
spend a week at a time sometimes.. and we would have
the best time..swimming, and fishing and boating all over
Sunset Lake.. I bet we went through quite a few tanks of gas.
One evening my dad wanted to go fishing and he got in the
boat..untied it..and used the oar to push the boat away from
the dock.. as he floated farther away he turned and pulled the
start cord on the outboard motor, well Bobby and I had used
the boat and motor all day, as he and I looked at each other,
knowing we were both about to be in deep trouble..we looked
then at my dad trying to pull that cord and every time he
did the motor wouldnt start.. we knew we were in trouble and
one of us better go get the gas can and the other get my dad
back to the dock.. Bobby went after the gas and I ran out onto
the dock... Dad is sitting there laughing at me..said "whats the
matter? run all the gas out of the motor Lois?" I looked at my
dad and before I could say anything ..that motor started up
and my dad says " I filled the gas tank before I got in the boat
Lois, I know you and Bobby had probly run it all out today" he
smiled, waved and putted off down the lake :-) he knew us
so well I think lol...

That cottage was such a nice place, the family came out on the
week ends..and everyone would bring food..I think everytime
the family got together food was the main part of the gatherings.
But I guess that is today as well.. A good party or family get
together the main part of the planning is the food.. I have always
been that way..If someone stops by I automatically ask if they
would like something to drink..or if they would like a snack or
something.. The food that was at the family gatherings when I
was young was great..bad part was I didnt dare say I liked
Aunt Gladys' blueberry pie better or Aunt Phyllis' spaghetti
better than my mothers.. she would get so upset! but all the
women back years ago that was their pride and joy, how good
a cook they were or how spotless their house was..or how
well behaved their kids were.. THAT was a biggie.and of course
this GORGEOUS WEEBLE was a GORGEOUS kid AND
THE most well behaved :-D

Speaking of food lol.. I do this EVERY time.. I havent eaten
today yet.. I dont usually until supper anyway then just log off
and go to bed..If I eat at lunch time I tend to get sleepy and
then there is no telling how long a cat nap will last for me..
I did sleep late this morning tho..8:30 and I havent slept that
late in a while.. Thats why I got nuthin done today :-) well food
time for me and time for my "nitey nite"

Y'all have a good one now Y'hear? love ya and thanks :-)
Always, Lois ****

God Bless you is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe
until I write again..

    Hello Lois
We save a lot of pecan in the freezer...make wonderful pies.
My son make the best pecan pie, he always use 5 egg not 3...

It awesome to have a wonderful children hood... I had lot of fun playing with the neighborhood children. My own children did not have a neighorhood full of children there age. I was alway depointed for them, and we lived 1/2 block from the school just like I did when I grew up.......time has changed...

Going to get Michael right arm checked again Monday , he is able to use it and he does not want to wear the sling for it at all.
God bless you Lois and have a good night rest.
    Mary

    Hi, Honey,
Thank you SOOO moch for the pic. Your smile warms my heart. For smiles, that is the best one I've seen yet - so warm and friendly and gorgeous.
Childhood memories are great! The sun never stopped shining!! Mind you, there was a war on right through mine, but I never remember being scared, not even by the buzz bombs - and I saw quite a few of those.
Take care, Gorgeous Weeble. L.O.L. & G.B.H. from
