~Door Knockers~

Eventful day, one that started off with a HELL of a bang, let me
tell you.. Scared the you-know-what otta me- it ALMOST did, I
know by the time it was done I had to sit and wait for the thumping
of my heart to stop.. I was reading my mail this morning about
7:30 am..and there was the loudest BANG...BANG..BANG,
POUNDING at the door.. I didn't know WHAT to think .. I have
to be behind the door and almost totally open it to see who is
out there.. As I rolled past the door going to see who was there,
I saw someone looking in the kitchen window.. I sort of frowned,
the lady backed up, waved, and I could see who it was.. . . do
you see the end of one car, then on the right the end of another?
Well that photo there is what cars those 2 were..The Police.. I
was shaking so bad when that woman backed up and I could
see she was a cop, I don't know if I frowned, smile, looked
totally confused, scared or what.. I got to the door and there
was this HUGE man, a cop..asked if Stuart or Duane .. I don't
even remember I was so shaken.. I assured him there was NO
ONE here but me, and I didn't know anyone by that name at all.
I told him who my landlord is and he knew him.. He apologized
for the interruption and went out the door. I noticed as he went
thru it that he actually had to lower his head to get thru and almost
go sideways, that's how big this guy was..or maybe he just seemed
that huge to me..
I went out in the kitchen to get another cup of coffee to try to slow
down from that drastic adrenelin pumper episode.. As I went
past the kitchen window that's behind the bakers rack, the blind
was open, I saw the cars there, and I saw the 2 officers across
the street at the orange house talking to a man over there.. They
were there for quite a while, then they left.. I was shaking..scared
me.. they could have called first lol.. My hands were shaking so
bad when I got my cup of coffee I spilled some on the floor even..
I just have such a bad reaction to cops..not to Blue though, well
maybe cuz hes a retired one..
Well you see the car, a convertible, is up for sale.. I want you to
know, what I did today.. I was so tired of saying that place across
the street, I went thru the yellow pages until I found a listing of a
garage that by the addy had to be it.. Its name is PENNY
AUTOMOTIVE.. NOW..will THAT be easy to remember? I called
over there, and told some guy that answered, I never did get his
name...that I see that car out there and what kind was it and how
much do they want for it.. I told him I watched as he put the top down
on it a while ago..he laughed..I mentioned that I had put photos of
that GORGEOUS car on here before and that this GORGEOUS
WEEBLE would look just THAT in that car!! So ok ..here's the
scoopy on it..I wasn't far off. . I said a Pontiac.. well it is a 1972
Oldsmobile Delta Royale or something like that.. and they want
$5,000.oo for it.. I told him if I help them sell that car because
of this blog I better get a finders fee..We bought laughed at
that but I was serious.. It is a great car..I watched that top go up
and back and down, just smooth as can be..great car...

Well I think my girl got her van fixed.. She came here this morning
in Eddys truck and when she went to get my icees they met down
at the gas station and traded back..It was just some minor thing,
that was causing it to not run on all fours so to speak..Eddy did
some little thing and its running fine now she said..shes so
very relieved.. I am too... she is trying so hard to make a go of it,
and shes so nice, I hate when things go badly for her.. I wish I
had that bigger place though so she could live by me, solve a lot
of her problems and mine too.. . and I think as talented as she
and I both are we could make some money on the side doing some
sewing and making quilts and stuff.. Im glad she is back on the
road.. I havent heard from Donnie about the one he knows about,
so I will call him later, he always has a zillion things to do after work.
I know hes trying to get that garage wired so he can finish it up and
then he can get that stuff out of my garage, not that its in the way
or anything I don't need that for anything.. it doesn't have a big door
on it..so its really more of a car port.. it works to keep snow off tho
and many a times I wish I had that so I wouldn't have to scrape
the windshield..the best window scraper is a credit card.. I kept
old worn out ones and used that ..works great..

Time to work this chair out to the kitchen.. I got up at 3am..wide awake,
But I fell asleep had to be about 8, so was a long sleep..but I did get
really tired about 10:30 this morning, got my 2nd wind so to speak and
Im ready to get out of this chair for the nite, and Im in need of a snack.
You know the routine..."Nitey Nite" :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear ? love ya, and Thanks!! :-)
Always, Lois ****

God Bless you, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again.....

Here is a recent police story in my nabe. The next door house has some crack addicts and they leqave the kids unsupervised a lot of the time. The kids were illegally spraying grafiti when somebody turned the kids in. Under 18 and you cannot possess spray paint in nyc. So the police lined the kids up and asked who sold them the paint. None of the kids snitched so the cops kept them in line for hours even through a shift change, and wouldn't let the kids go to the bathroom. ooops! the parents watched them wet their pants. so do not spray grafiti.

    Hello Lois

Great looking police car you have in your city. Yes that would be a scary thing for someone to bang so loud on the door.
So glad Penny got her Van fixed too.
Had another wonderful day cleaning at the church. For supper we went out to eat at Taco Mayo...
Pam will get out of the hospital Friday. If everything goes to plan, she want to live there...

You have a great day Lois.
    God bless you.
    Mary

Hey ... wow what an exciting neighborhood!

You could sell tickets to the action and collect a fortune. But you'd have to build bleacher seats.

    Hi Momar,
For a small town, there are alot of cops here, and they to be honest are not ALL nice at all.. I KNOW.. But we have to have them..so many get attitudes which is so not good dealing with people..but to bang like that on someones door at 7am, and the wrong house, that was crappy...

    Hi Mary,
I hope Pam gets better soon and can get out tomorrow, Yes Penny is really happy..less worry for her..I hope you have a good day too Mary... :-)

    Hiya d...
Ya, this is a busy street out here I have seen a few crashes..its the truck route.. I know everyone that knew me had to have gone by when those 2 cars were parked by my side of the street. They wanted the kid across the way. NOT ME...

Hope Y'all have a good day today, looks like rain and Im waitin for Theresa, so is the boys. :-)
