~A GREAT GRAN~ :-)

This photo was taken 23 years ago, and its of course my

Dolly, Kelli.. my adopted, so to speak, granddaughter..she

was 23 in May..She told me today she is going to have a

baby in 5 months.. We are most excited!!! She just got the

new house and when they finish the baby will be here.. It

will be so great.. Donnie is excited and I know his parents

are too...That's my ex, Willie, her Papa, the day they brought

her home from the hospital..see the little bow they glued to

her head? She was a sweet baby..very good..from that

day on for four years that cutie spent every day just about

with us.. From early in the morning till after Donnie and Kelli's

mom Kimmie got home from work.. Some times she spent

the night... which we really hated..JUST KIDDING..we loved

having her... she was a good kid...and still is..:-)

She didn't mind working and helping me.. I always told her

"you have to work, Dolly, to get the things you want" and

she didn't mind at all..work back then was dusting, or going

outside and using grabbers pick up the cigarette butts that

always seemed to get thrown out there..I hated that.. I smoked

back then but I always used an ashtray..She would help me

dry dishes.. I always gave her plastic things to dry, but she

never once that I remember ever dropped anything.. she was

and still is a hard worker..willing to work for what she wants..

She and Jorge have worked so hard, sometimes each of them

working 2 jobs..but it shows, they have a new house now and

a good vehicle and a baby on the way.. They are good kids and

deserve the best.. I hope soon I can get at my sewing machine

and make some things for the baby.. I already have some people

knitting and crocheting and I may make a special quilt... if I get

my machine ready.. I could have Penny bring up my main one,

that I always use..its just so hard with that foot pedal.. So much

hinges on getting rid of this chair.. I sure need to do that..

Uneventful day today other than fighting with my checkbook again.

I couldn't find my last bunch of carbons of my checks.. I use those

copy ones..I sure like those then I never forget what I wrote..only

problem is when I have to go back to a previous bunch of copies

and I don't remember where I put them.. I still cant find my crochet

hooks which upsets me.. I wanted to show Penny how to do broom

stick lace which is very easy and fast..but I cant find them any

where..She said the water pan was full and she emptyied it..I know

it will be full again before she gets here Wednesday.. Heidi is due

to be here tomorrow though so maybe she can run down and empty

it for me.. I hope this thing doesn't run up my electric bill.. I turned

my thermostat lower my furnace keeps coming on..and I don't want

that big bill yet for gas.. I like when its only ten dollars..better than

when it was over 100...

We are all clean and Penny went to the store for me and got some

things I needed, that I have to pay cash for.. They give us food stamps
but they don't think how expensive it is to buy your soaps and paper

stuff and cleaning and laundry stuff or food for a pet..Be nice if they

did.that's where the expenses really are...The food stamps are a

blessing for sure..but be nice to get extra help..when they had the

food distribution that I cant get again cuz they are giving it on Tuesday

again, and they would give us soap and cleaning things..sure came

in handy..I will be glad when it goes back to Wednesdays again..

Well this day is winding down and so am I.. Im tired and really didn't

do a lot, but I got up at 5, so its been a long day and I think I am

allowed to be tired...and hungry..which lunch was ickky and I did not

eat it..but I have some left over chicken with tomatoes that is really

good, so I might as well finish it off and have some of my Kool aid.

Im getting forgetful again and drinking too much during the day then

I have to get up more during the night and I hate that..by the time I

get back and forth Im wide awake and have to lay there for an hour

debating whether to get up or not and take a nap later..decisions,

decisions..life is hard ...if that was all I had to worry about this

GORGEOUS WEEBLE would have NO worries at all ..other than

to know when to say "nitey nite"....
