~Rose of Sharon~
really enjoy seeing all those beautiful living things out
there.. the birds, squirrels, rabbits, even the people
that live in that house across over there. I have seen
them all this time and I still don't know their names. I
wish I did and their phone number..neighbors should
be in touch.. watch each others homes and keep an eye
out for dangers or even good stuff.. They had 2 dogs
over there a yellow and black lab.. I havent seen the
older black lab for quite a while.. I am guessing that
hes died.. I could tell he was old by the slow way that
he walked and he wasn't very active.. I know they are
over there, the people, they have a son, that THINKS
hes a mechanic.. and well.. I dunno but I lived with a
garage in my back yard my whole growing years and
I have been around Donnie as he is a mechanic..Well..the
way this kid is working on these cars I'm gonna say hes
very lucky that car hasnt blown a gasket or something
by now.. he steady rev's the engine as hard as he can,
and for a long time.. Not good for an old engine.. Its a
older car I cant think of the name of it... He does this
for at least an hour, once he had someone stand at the
intersection and he backs up starts to rev it up and
when the kid at the corner says "GO!!!" he flys across
the street as its just a straight road and wide open
over there .. Cops saw him do that once and he got a
ticket, car search, the whole 9 yards... I havent seen
him do that again but hes still over there revvin.. It
gets old when he does it every day... which he has
a couple days in a row..and no matter what room I go
ever it is.. I say its a Rose of Sharon.. Some have said its
a Hibiscus.. they look the same..but I think the hibiscus has
bigger petals... I don't care what it is I just like seeing it
out there.. I have a snoball bush here by my livingroom window
and its FULL of buds.. budettes too :-) I have said this a
100 times and I hope whomever it was put all these flowers,
plants, trees here for me to enjoy, I pray they KNOW how
grateful I am they did... I think this refers to the concept
of passing it forward.. and I think THAT is a great thing..
Sometimes someone does a wonderful thing for you and you
just cant repay them for some reason or other.. The best re
payment, which the benefactor doesn't really want, but the
best is to pass it forward to someone else.. See someone that
needs a little help or even a kick in the butt sometimes.. but
pass that nice deed on.. you will get repaid... plus I think just
knowing your good deed will be passed on..and on...and on...
put the frame around etc, I looked close..do you see the boy?
I laughed so hard when I saw this.. that's so cute..hes down
by my right side..peeking out from behind me.. I didn't know
he was there.. I think this is just a cute photo I wish LB had
been in it.. hes not but look UNDER my chair and you can see
Meowmeow... hes probly off sleeping somewhere .. the old man
have to click it to take a photo well its a lazer mouse
with a red light and his play lazer is red too..so he was
looking at me wanting to make sure I wasn't messin with
his toy.. He and LB will chase that light around for as
long as I will and I poop out before they do... I swear he
understands everything I say... I took a photo of him the
other day and he was looking at Penny, I told him to "Look
at mummy" he turned and looked right up at me.. you see..
I have some really cute kids..human ones TOO!!! :-)
I am so bad about photos .. I am steady taking them..I
I am so bad about photos .. I am steady taking them..I
keep my digital in the kitchen in case I see something out
there that I absolutely HAVE to take a picture of.. I get
nervous when I carry it as that's what happened to my
other one and I LOVED that one.. It had the peek hole to
see what you were taking a photo of.. I have like a square
screen and I don't like it at all.. If I get a new one I will
make sure it has a peeky hole, this holding the bottom
little door shut or even tapeing it is a pain in the butt.. I only
take like 6 or so pics at a time and I unload them right
away and sometimes I take photos every day...well I'm a
photo and music nut ..:-) But that little door has to be
dug my keyboard out, took me forever to do it..Penny
had pushed it way under the couch and I had to fold
right in HALF and then some to get it out.. I can play it.
One hand.. I promised a friend I would tape me playing
it.. I was going to use sound recorder but I think I will
do a video.. I would love to learn how to play 2 hands..
cuz I really enjoy it.. I had a beautiful old upright piano
when I lived in Texas but it was just too big and heavy
to haul all the way from there to Indiana..so I sold it
to a lady that promised to take very good care of it.. I'm
sure she did... Pianos are wonderful.. But I like any and
ALL music...It lifts me up..and makes me happy..
Well I'm starved, its after 2 and I have NOT had anything
today but 3 cups of coffee and my stomach is yelling at
me to EAT!.. I have some shrimp and I will have some of
those... just lightly nuked for a minute just to take the deep
freeze off.. I have some excellent Crosse & Blackwell sauce
and I have to say its the best...Even for fries..which I didn't
realize till I made some fries one day. I didn't want to go
back to the fridge to get ketchup so I dunked them in the
shrimp sauce..worked great! Ok food, then OUT of this
chair for today.. Hope you like my views and my boy well
this GORGEOUS WEEBLE too.."Nitey Nite" :-)
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya..and THANKS!
ALways, Lois ****

Wouldn't you know I cleaned out my shrub books about a month ago. The only Tree/Shrub book I have is copyright 1915! It lists Rose of Sharon as a shrub with flowers much like a hollyhock. The index does not list Hybiscus as such ... but does list a scientific name Hybiscus syringus (big deal) and that shrub turns out to be ... (drum roll) Rose of Sharon! which means that Rose of Sharon and Hybiscus might well be the same thing (or they were back in 1915...)
I always thought Rose of Sharon was a pretty thing ... Lois of Michigan ain't bad either.
