~Animal Planet~

I watch animal planet a lot. One of the shows on that channel is about the ASPCA and the animals that are rescued from abuse or abandoned. Some of the things that are done to animals, left to starve, used to fight, beaten, it makes me so upset. They showed some dogs that were waiting for adoption, so many of them.. One in particular, even when I think of him now, almost puts me to tears... Was a black lab. Maybe a year old, sweet dog, tail wagging, and this little guy was in one of those cages all by himself, when they showed him he jumped up and ran up to the bars and he had his toy, a red ball in his mouth.. How sad, he was hoping someone would play with him... If no one adopts him, in a certain amount of time they will put him to sleep... How sad. He was such a sweet baby, I wish I could have taken him. That red ball he held in his mouth just broke my heart.. Like that little white dog after Katrina, his master got on the bus, and left him behind.. Animals deserve better and so many are abused and used.. I don't under stand how anyone can abuse a animal let alone a human. My friend Becky is with ARF, great organization, she is very involved with animal rescue and neutering. She has sort of a half way house, she will take in a pet that is in need of a home and try to find one for it.. Sometimes shes not been able to and why she has 4 dogs and 3 cats too!!.. :-) I think that would be great to be a half way house for animals.. When I was in the apartment, my friend BB that died had a cat named BamBam. Beautiful gray Persian and a sweet cat. I wanted to take him but I had my 2 boys already and that's all we were allowed, well really only 1, I got special dispensation cuz my Dr wrote out a paper saying I needed 2 :-) it worked!.. BamBam had to have a leg amputated after BB died. He had gotten outside and something damaged his leg really bad. When I found that out, I wanted him even more!...Poor thing... He did get a great new home though which I was very glad.. I keep threatening to get a new baby, tiny kitties are just so precious, but as totally spoiled as these 2 are I don't know if they would like it. I know what they do to Jerky when hes here and hes a 70 pound lab!!.. They stalk him like a wild cat would.. One comes from one way the other across and they put that dog in their sites and are ready to get him. Donnie and I witnessed that once and if he hadnt made that dog move he would have gotten all scratched.. My boys are armed and will use their claws.. Well not LB, more Dutch, hes a slapper and biter.. LB is very easy going.. Hold him though, well just don't try to.. then you will see the exact opposite, he will even growl... Was a quiet day today compared to yesterday. I dug out my knitting again to make some more of my dish cloths, I may even piece a quilt together I have the squares done. I said about all the stuff on top my sewing machine, well I moved most of it so I can get to it easier. Id really like to do some sewing, and not just sit at this computer all day, I have things I need to do before Christmas or I will be caught like I am every year, but I say this every year too, something just isnt working right I guess, maybe I need to start saying this in January! THEN I may be ready at Christmas :-) I have a net flix due today and that's what I'm going to do watch that, have some peaches and I might do some more on this dishcloth I need to finish it. I hate something halfdone staring at me all the time.. Only one way to fix that,do it! ..so it WILL be DONE! Its that time for my GORGEOUS WEEBLE "nitey nite".
