~Work Cut Out For Her~

Penny had her work cut out for her today. I was so

glad yesterday to see that the plowman had done my

driveway so that she wouldn't get stuck. She did have

to shovel her way to the back door, and to get out to

the mailbox, well you see how much deeper it is.. I

think too it looks deeper because I think the plow man

did up close to the mailboxes.. There are 3 out there,

mine is the one on the left in the milk can... But, the

other two mailboxes those people don't bother to see

that the snow is gone.. The house across the street I

think one belongs to them... and of course the other is

the people that live on the other side of this duplex.

But neither of them keep the boxes clean, they could

at least take turns cleaning by them and not leave it

all up to Penny. If the mail person cant get up close

enough to open the boxes she will just roll right on by

until it is clear.. cant blame them.. If you want your mail,

well make it a clear way for it to be delivered to you..

My mailbox needs painted really bad, and the milk can its

in, well looks kinda dumb up next to the others.. then that

sign right there that says "No Parking At ANY Time".

Probly cuz of the school and all the doings they have there

to keep the road more open... I have a better view out the

back door than the front...

My boy is worrying me today, Dutch. Hes not himself.. hes

acting very quiet and has not even bothered Penny at all,

and usually he follows her around like a dog.. He got up on

his favorite shelf in my closet and has stayed there.. I hope

hes not getting sick.. I held him for awhile, well for as long

as he would let me and he felt cold.. I have 2 sweaters on,

I hope I'm not keeping it too cool in here and then the boys

get sick.. That wouldn't be good at all... We are due to have

some 'severe cold' the TV said..

I watched the weather and have checked today and we are

under the gun again for a really severe storm, blizzard

conditions.. Its the one that has come straight across the

states and now its hitting Lake Michigan and picking up force

and we are gonna get hammered AGAIN.. they are saying

up to at least 6 more inches of snow, and I KNOW we have

over a foot out there now..

I sent Penny to the store to get a few odds and ends, just

in case she cant get here on wednesday...We are gonna make

some gingerbread when she gets back.. I LOVE that stuff..

I have a great molasses cookie recipe that was my moms of

course that I am anxious to make.. When they bring the new

element for the oven I can use it again.. I'm hungry for some

home made cookies.. I have a recipe for Pineapple ones that

are just THE VERY BEST.. and THOSE and the molasses or

gingerbread cookies are gonna be the first ones we make...

Penny didn't have time for a lot of baking over Christmas so

we decided to make them now.. still works. homemade cookies

are good anytime.. and if you had MY recipes.. well .. I have

some of the BEST... I should make a cookbook :-)

Other than this, was a quiet day, I need to go and check on the

kid, hard when animals are sick, they cant tell you whats wrong.

I hope hes ok.. I will keep an eye on him... But in the meantime,

I'm gonna have a late lunch, what I don't know...I will find some

thing- I have NO doubt.. Until tomorrow this SNOW BOUND
GORGEOUS WEEBLE says "g'day, g'day"!!!!
