~Worry Is My Middle Name~

Rebecca was here today and of course she always asks

how things are going.. Which, knock on wood, things are

TOO good and I mean, when they are, I WORRY!.. Its

like waiting for the other shoe to drop as the saying

goes... :-) Rebecca assures me there is nothing to worry

about. The reason I do is because they still havent

replaced Theresa, my councilor from CMH... Shes going

to find out.. Doug never returned her call... and they

havent called me, so I don't know what I'm sposta do.

But things ARE going quite well and I should not be

nervous or worry .. but well that's my middle name and

I just cant change it.. That's why Donnie doesn't tell

me a lot cuz he knows how I worry then I will pester

him with "how are ya?, Is everything ok?" for days...

He knows me quite well.. :-)


I lost my left eye in 1984.. I have sight in it but no focus.
There is no lens.. it was torn off when that piece of metal

from the wedge broke off and went 1 mm from the center

of my eye, if it had been centered I would be totally blind.
I can see shapes and colors but no details.. Once, I was

looking through my binoculars and just messing around I

closed my good eye and only looked with my bad one, I

adjusted the settings to the most powerful I could and

all of a sudden it was like someone had hit me between

the eyes! I could SEE! The shock was amazing.. I could

actually read numbers and see quite well.. when I stopped

I got a massive headache that about made me scream..

but I couldn't believe I could see with that eye using the

binoculars.. Could you imagine the thickness of eyeglasses

I would have to use to be able to see with that eye? I

would think very thick ones.. I'm so used to how it is now

that I really don't miss it except when I miss judge cuz

I have no depth perception and drop stuff or run into

things :-) I re-learned how to drive, but backing up? Well

I wasn't good doing that with a car and I am no better

with this chair.. I just cant seem to go straight :-)

I do have a hard time backing up.. and it could be due to

the missing sight in my left eye.. well that's MY excuse

for lousy backer upping anyway :-) Power chair driving

is NOT easy anyway. for me that is :-) What really gets

me is when Dutch gets on the joystick and ups the

speed, I turn it on and push forward and I'm off like

a shot! I have learned to check it.. specially if I get

up during the night.. I cant see anyway with the glare

from it so going high speed theres no telling what

damage I could do to this place, let alone myself.!. :-)

Time for lunch, Penny made egg salad, Ive not had that

in ages, so it will be a treat.. Snow is coming down in

between the rain.. Going to be nasty the next few days.

Joys of winter :-) I'm so grateful that I am snug and

warm AND well fed... Post time, and for my GORGEOUS
