~Lookin Out My Back Door~
This is the back door and where I want to have a deck.
That's me in the door way :-) You can see the place next
door, the other half of this duplex and their back door.
I like this side much better.. more yard.. That stone
building to the right will soon be empty where I can
store stuff if I want.. I think would make a nice sewing
shop.. :-)Note all the pine cones on the ground ....

degrees.. Sunny and just made me wanna go outside.

While I was looking out the door I saw a couple people
out working in their yards. Raking and cleaning.. I don't
know if Joe will do the flower beds here or leave it up
to me.. We havent discussed the summer yard duties.
I don't mind doing flower beds.. that's fun. I did see
I don't mind doing flower beds.. that's fun. I did see
where they have a strawberry plant in a planter that
will sit on your porch.. That would be great! I LOVE
strawberries.. There is a great place for a garden if
Joe would let us do it... But it would almost have to
be raised beds for me to get in and around it.. But I
sure wouldn't mind having my own veggie garden...
When I lived in the condo with David, his sister Laura
lived next door, with her hubby and 2 kids. Laura was
a Gardner... she loved it.. and her backyard sure proved
it.. At the far back of the yard was a row of hedges
that blocked the backyard to the train tracks that ran
back there.. Between the other side of the hedges and
where the tracks were was quite a bit of yard, plus a
road that the railroad people maintained so they can get
to the tracks. In between that area is where Laura put
her garden..
We all helped and every nite we all seemed to gather
We all helped and every nite we all seemed to gather
out there as we looked over how everything was growing.
She had planted everything.. and we sure enjoyed the
harvested crop that garden produced. We stayed out
there talking and finally put chairs out there and a
small table.. It was great in the evenings when we would
turn on the garden sprinkler and feel the cool mist from
it blowing on us as we sat there. It was really a great
place.. After we sat there for a while we would gradually
move to our own special back porches.. Where my lanai
was as I called it.. Sometimes we all would sit together
on our side or theirs.. but then there were times that
David and I enjoyed being by ourselves, just like I'm sure
John and Laura did.. It was a great place..
We had all gone out there one really nice evening and were
standing around looking at everything.. Laura said to John,
"I forgot to turn the sprinkler on for the garden, will you
go and do it?" John walked towards the faucet.. Laura
was standing in the middle of the garden, not paying any
attention that she was standing right next to the sprinkler.
It was one of those that were on a stick, about 3 foot off
the ground.. Just about the same time I noticed she was
right by it and John was about to turn it on, I quickly
moved away from the edge of the garden where I was
standing.. The water came on with a loud SWOOSH.. Laura
yells as the sprinkler got her really good.. she got drenched.
We all laughed.. She looks at me and says "I saw you move
away, why didn't you tell ME to move".. she knew there wasn't
enough time for me to, she was just teasing and laughing as
she says it.. I told her "we all needed a good laugh today, and
you gave it to us Miss Drippy". We all laughed.. She just stayed
wet.. it was a hot day and she got cooled off ! :-)
If I get a nice deck out back I KNOW I will be sitting out
there. Be nice if it was screened for the boys, but well if
it isnt they can just enjoy watching Mom out there enjoying
herself.. Penny and I have already discussed what we plan
to put out there. Of course we will have to wait and see just
what comes up.. I will miss all those pretty flowers at the
little house.. The roses were so pretty.. I bet that fence
will be really pretty this year with the morning glories on it.
I'm putting some out back here, to climb that trellis you see
I'm putting some out back here, to climb that trellis you see
in the photo to the right of the backdoor.. I think it has
climatis on it now, so it will share with my glories :-)
Penny came and made spaghetti sauce and it smells great.
I have some wide egg noodles I'm gonna cook and that is
I have some wide egg noodles I'm gonna cook and that is
my dinner today. We are all clean and ready for baby to
come tomorrow.. I am so anxious to see Alex.. and Kelli
too of course, and Ive not seen Trina in a long time.. I did
get a dress pattern for her and I may make some things
for her.. Being able to sew again .. well I cant really
describe how good it makes me feel.. Useful maybe is
how I feel.. like I am really accomplishing something..
That's a good feeling..
Eatin some Sketti is my accomplishment that I'm fixing
to do next so its that time AGAIN ~ for my GORGEOUS
WEEBLE "g'day, g'day"... :-)

Losing weight isnt really that hard Mary, just watch what you eat and how much.. THere are alot of foods, like grapefruit or celery that have no calories.. BUT!! they EAT UP OTHER calories !! Popcorn is a good filler for dieting... I have been on many.. :-)
