~When I Was Your Age~ :-)

I remember when I was younger how I hated to
hear the words "When I was Your Age".... I can
hear that coming from my parents many times. I
would stand there and just look to the side, rolling
my eyes and thinking "They DONT KNOW!!".. Now,
I KNOW and THEY were RIGHT! :-) I have said
so many times, "if I knew THEN what I know NOW",
my life sure would have been different.. Which, I
believe, BUT.. that doesn't necessarily mean it would
be better... Hopefully it would, but then again...that
may not be so....

I hear Penny telling me about the problems her kids
are having and how she tries to tell them so they learn
from HER experience.. Same with all of us.. we think if
we give our 2 cents worth that hopefully someone will
benefit from it, but the thing is.. you have to get their
attention first so they pay attention to what you say.
So much about the kids now.. I worry for my grands. If
kids now days went to the kind of school they should, it
would be one that had a strict dress code and NO peer
pressure at all.. I think that's a lot of the problem now
with kids.. They feel that they HAVE to "belong". When
I was in school .. way back when... this year will be 46
years since I graduated high school.. I don't remember
these kinds of problems.. Boys pants hanging off their
butts, girls wearing shorts and super tight clothes
showing everything they have.. I don't remember that
in school at all.. we were more concerned in learning
and having a life.. we were in a VERY small town and I
think every one of my classmates knew THAT was how
we were going to get to the "big city", we had to have
an education, I think everyone in my class went to college.
Me included.. Nurses Training.. :-) ... So much has
changed and to me its scarey.. its not all changed for
the better...

I am anxiously looking forward to this Saturday. :-)
About 10, my Dolly, Kelli and my great grand son,
Alex are coming for a visit.. :-) I cant wait to see them. I
know Alex has gotten so much bigger it will be fun to have
him here, hes crawling and I have LOTS of room for him
to do that here :-) Katrina, Kelli's niece will be coming with
them, her parents both have to work and Kel is babysitting.
Katrina is 6 I think.. not real sure, but shes a Cutie.. I made
some pants for Kelli with a matching pair for Alex. I sent
the first pair I made for him in the mail so I know this pattern
fits him.. Theyre easy and fast to make... I just need more
flannel :-)

Its sposta be 60 degrees tomorrow and I'm debating to book
a ride to Wal Mart in Coldwater.. Penny will be here at 9, and
she can go with me.. So far I have nothing else scheduled.. I
havent decided for sure yet.. but I'm deciding lol... What I
HAVE decided is that IM HUNGRY!! :-) so.. that means one
thing.. Time to write my GORGEOUS WEEBLE "g'day,g'day".
:-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and THANKS!
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again....

    Hello Lois
I think every kids hear those words from there parents.
Wonderful day here, so nice and warm...a little to much wind.
My neighbor across the street keep playing with fire behind there home, the flames got very high and the winds taking the spark across the street to us...not a good time for a cook out with the winds like it is right now and so very dark too...the lighter fluid was burning my eyes and they keep pouring more on from time to time...we could see that...if they keep it up someone house or yard was going to burn...so I called the police...I really think they were just playing with it... That person left with the police.
God bless you Lois and keep you safe my friend.
    Mary
