~Would You Start Over?~
What if you could start over again? Not knowing what you know now though.. Do you think you would do the same thing over again? I watched the neighbors across the street, the ones with 6 kids. They were outside both working on different things around the outside of their house. And, you knowing me, when I see some things it gets me off on some long serious contemplations. But I think its good to do that. I watched them and I thought back to 1964, when my first life was starting, we had our own house, but I don't remember doing a lot of work outside, I know we had a big yard, it was a terraced one, in 3 layers.. and it was on the side of a hill.. As you walked along the side of the house it was level with the ground by the time you got to the front of the house, it faced the hill.. you could walk into the basement.. Which having an outside door directly out is handy for a basement, specially if you hung your clothes out.. And I DID.. I didn't have a dryer, even with 2 boys.. I either hung the clothes in the basement or outside. :-) If I could I would hang my clothes out side now. There is no sweeter smell than fresh dried outside sheets.. well next to the sweet smell of a baby. Those 2 rank the highest.. :-) Fresh cut grass is too :-) I wish I had all the photos from back then, but during all my traveling they have gotten lost, I have a few, but not many that I had sent to my parents. I'm glad they had them. But I wonder, would I if I could start all over .. would I take this same road that led to this life? When I think of all the "re starts" as I call them that I have had, they were major decisions.. What if I HAD made those other choices I had, I wonder would the out come still be the same, that I would end up in this condition, a amputee? Just taken a different route? Maybe it would have been easier.. If I REALLY told you ALL of my adult life tales, well, you would more'n likely acuse me of making it up :-) When I think back I wonder myself too ! :-) Its been most interesting that's for sure. But I wonder if the road I didn't take to get here would have been better? And which one was the wrong road? I get started don't I? .... But I think about these things, specially when there are still so MANY things I want and HOPE to do yet.. We are all clean and neat and tidy.. We hung the curtains that my sis gave me here in the living room and I have to say, Its just lovely.. Its so pretty in here, Penny agrees that its really nice.. We do good work, Penny and I. :-) You know what this GORGEOUS WEEBLE is HOPEing to do is find some lunch...And enjoy the rest of this WARM sunny day.. Just like the boys... :-) Hope your day is too. Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and thanks! Always, Lois **** "God Bless You" is my prayer today, I'm honored to call you "friend". I pray the Lord will keep you safe, Until I write again... | ||

Willy Nelson sings in a song: "Yesterday is dead and gone. Tomorrow is but a dream. All that's left is today, what are you gonna do today?"
Or something like that. I'd make a lot ah changes if I had it to do over. But, of course I don't ... so what will I do today?
I think I'll try 2 B more loving.
Yeah.

Hello Hun Bun,
Well & I am here at last lol
I keep wanting to read all your news, cause I love your letters Lois , but usually get busy with something then someone comes to the door etc.
Well a lame excuse but that is all I have ha ha .
Anyway I have been reading & catching up with your news.
I have to say I love the photo of Penny, bless her she looks great for 50.
Then I noticed you had the Apron pic on too. I just loved wearing them years ago, You could get such pretty ones then.in fact I
should add that I still wear one when I am baking, because I am a messy dude in the kitchen lol & usually have flour all over me .
So I yell to Don "Dont come in here until I get everything cleaned up" ha ha ha .
Love your new curtains, such a great job you have done with your new place Lois. Everything looks so fresh & new & cosy too.
So ! about starting all over again ? Weeeeell! Dont think I would change much but it would
have been nice if I could have
had a daughter as well as our two sons.
I saw you had been busy on your sewing machine & looked like Dutch was there helping you too .
What a clever kitty helping his mum like that ha ha ha
Well Hun Bun almost our teatime now,
so cheerio & toodle pip for now.
Love U.
Audrey (Don is yelling Hi Lois Too )
