~I Make More Work~

I make more work for myself..I just keep on , you would
think I would learn...Do NOT push stuff on a tray that has
liquid in it ..cuz it can fall over... I spilled 2 cans of soda
and my coffee all over the kitchen floor today.. and Rae
just mopped them yesterday...talk about sticky mess...
I dont know why I cant seem to learn this ..lol...I just get
carried away I guess thinking well..maybe THIS time it
wont fall over and spill...ya..ok...WRONG... went all over
the floor..my chair..the tray table it was on.. how could just
what seemed like a dribble of coffee make such a mess??
there was only dribbles left in the soda cans.. the way the
floor looked you would have thought they were full~!~
One of these days I WILL LEARN :-)
.
AND... as if that wasnt bad enough..I made a meat pie today
and I had all the potatoes peeled and was filling a pan with
some water to put them in after I peeled them..well the pan
tips..and the water splashes..YUP..all down the front of ME
I WAS drenched!!! Soaking wet lol..SHeesh what a DAY!!!
I had to change clothes..hang the ones I soaked so they
would dry..I make MORE work for myself lol..I had thought
this was going to be a super relaxing day, I think I was wrong..

I was watching a food show of course..and they were showing
cooking outside..over an open fire like they did YEARS ago..
I just dont know how do you regulate the temperatures.. lol I
watched as they built up the fires and the food just looked SO
delicious..It was a big contest that lots of people entered to
prove I guess that it really CAN be done. :I am SO glad I
didn't live back before electricity and indoor plumbing and
all these things.. I dont think I would have been very happy lol..
But then maybe I would if I didnt know any other way to live..
I guess I should say I am GLAD i was born when I was lol...

My sis didnt come up today and her cast comes off next week.
She is SO glad..This cast and being stuck in a wheel chair
has just gotten to her so bad..She really hates it.. She said
how she has to drag herself along kinda..and of course the
same statement.."how do YOU do this EVERY day?" I think
by her having to go thru this with her broken leg she really
understands more just how hard this really is... She said
how hard a time she has to get dressed...that How do I do
it when I cant even stand.. lol..Well like I told her THATS why
I dont wear PANTS lol..just pullin stuff over your head is LOTS
easier than what shes doing..lol..And she NOW could really
SEE why I wanted the Silk panties lol. She understands more
now just how hard this really is for me...which I think she did
before but more so now since she had to spend so much time
in a chair..and try to do all she did automatically every day...
A little eye opener maybe for her....Which can be a good thing...

Well I made a super good meat pie that I just took out of the
oven about a half hour ago..that is sitting in the kitchen waiting
patiently for me..and well yup..thats where I am headed..as
usual...lol...Thanks for all the kind comments and sweet words..
Sure mean a lot to me.. well its that time ..new photo tomorrow
so see you then ..nitey nite...

Y'all have a good one now Y'hear? LUV Ya & Thanks...
Always, Lois****

May God Bless you today,
I'm so honored to call you friend,
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

It is difficult to operate in a kitchen from a wheelchair height. Just as there are such things as adjustable height fork-lifts it would be nice if their were adjustable height wheelchairs, but this country is very poor.

Good Morning, Yes Robert. Was a good thing it wasnt hot water I would have been really burned.

Yahoo is gonna add that feature? I think Yahoo needs to straighten out all its other problems before it adds anything lol..its been really crappy lately since Sprint bought them.

I think there is a new wheelchair that the height does go up and down Momar..I saw it in the ACA magazine. If I can get an upgrade this year I may be able to get one..which would be so wonderful, sure make my life easier.

You would think they would build apartments that are JUST for us, that we can use better and better safety issues. I'd sure like to design one. lol..:-)

    Y'all have a great Sunday!~!

I'm glad that you weren't hurt in those spills.

I do my share of klutzy things. I went to a big suit-and-tie meeting last week and brought my toothbrush and toothpaste in my bag so that I could brush my teeth after the mid-meeting lunch. I went to the bathroom, opened my bag to get everything out, opent the toothpaste tube, and in front of several people opened a small case that held my... screwdriver. I nonchalantly put everything back in my briefcase as if I had always intended to bring my toothpaste and screw driver to the bathroom. The case looks a lot like my plastic toothbrush tube.

I have cooled over open fires a lot. I spent three summers working in a remote environmental education school where we cooked every meal for about 24 people on an open fire, rain or no rain.

If you have a good wood supply and a good fireplace setup, you can do a lot of cooking pretty well.

We used to make biscuits in a huge home made reflector oven, and could bake in dutch ovens. Skill and experience help, but is it a lot of fun. The test of a really skilled campfire cook is to make wild strawberry crepes over an open fire in a downpour.

I can smell yesterday's meat pie from here. MMmm, you did a great job.

I'm glad that you sister's cast is about come off. It good that she gained some real empathy and understand of your life.

Thanks for livening my day up with the reminder of your outfits and the silk panties!

    Have a great day.

    Dear Lois,
At least it saved you having to take a shower!!! Thank goodness it wasn't hot water. You will have to get a cycling cape, like I used to wear to ride home in the rain on my bike!!
Hope that meat pie was as good as you expected. I'll bet there isn't any left!
We had roast pork and apple sauce, followed by apple cake, and guess what, the cake must have been an American recipe as all the measurements were in cups. Had to pull the wife's leg about that!! ;-) Take care, my dear, lots of love and hugs from
    Raife.
