~How Many Steps?~

I had a comment on my weblog about tree work being dangerous.. and yes it really is...I lost my eye because of it.. That piece of metal, 1 mm from the center..I have the prettiest cats eye on my left one..it is..looks just like a cats. well it was sewn up..3 times..how could it stay round lol... A cut from a chain saw is bad..all the sawdust and dirt get inside..but the chain is so hot..they dont really bleed alot because its almost like cauterizing the wound at the same time..and depending on the power of the saw those cuts were VERY fast... Willie was up in the top of a tree one time, julio & I were on the ground pulling stuff out of the way..sometimes we left logs on the ground so that when a piece fell it didnt gouge out a hole..Willie yelled down to me that he had cut his leg to go and get some bandages.. I yelled up to him "ok..how bad is it?" and he made no move to lower that bucket..I looked at Julio..said it must not be too bad..The house was right behind us..it was our own tree he was taking down..I did stand up..and kept looking up at him..Willie yells again, "I SAID ..GO get some bandages!!!" I said "HOW BAD IS IT?"...he STILL did not say.. just kept cutting the limb... I thought well it cant be that bad if hes not coming down..So I took my time..and walked normal pace into the house and got some bandage and peroxide..and went to the bathroom and went back out the door..Willie is STILL up in that bucket.. I looked at Julio..I said "hmm must not be too bad..he isnt coming down" Next thing I know ZIP, and down comes that bucket, Willie climbs out and there is a RIP out of his jeans from the knee to the hem at the bottom of the right leg of them I stared at that HUGE hole..said "WHAT??? " and rushed up to him and he had a gash under his knee down the inside kinda where the fleshy part of the leg is..and it was WIDE open..I almost fell out...Julio rushes up..and Willie is still just standing there..there was hardly any blood either .but it looked burnt! Willie sat down and This leg opened up and I ran to call 911.. he had like 21 stitches put into his leg..I asked Willie WHY did you NOT come right down???" he says,, " I wasnt gonna go up that tree 2 times." lolol..I coulda slapped him..but thats a tree man for ya..:-) I made coffee this morning and on the way back in here to my computer I decide to count how many times I had to switch hands and grab this wheel to get back in here..It was 9 times.. I was carrying a steamy hot cup of coffee and switching hand to hand..and trying to get back in as few moves as possible..took 2 just to get thru the kitchen from the sink across to the carpet in the dining room..To get over the strip between the 2 I had to change hands twice. as the ridgie there will catch my tire and bring my chair to a stop.. So between there and getting thru the dining room to the turn to get into my bedroom, then turn to get in front of this puter ,,then turn again to line up with it...All in All I counted about 8 or 9..depending if one of the boys are walking in front of me..If they are I have to go slower so I dont run over them let alone drip hot coffee on them..If they dont escort me back I can grab my table and get a good push and coast up to the turn to get into my bedroom.. lolol aint this fun?..now dont forget..I do have a tendency to dribble across the floor..if I dont watch what I am doing or grab a hot part of the cup..I will dribble ..on the kitchen floor I have to wipe it up..drives me nutty when my floor is iccky not to mention I would leave tracks if I ran over it...on the carpet..well I think the coffee dribbles are an asset to this pathetic looking snagged stuff lol..So even just carrying a cup of coffee is a major deal ..sheesh..lol.. I should get a thing with a lid maybe or put the coffee in a thermos..the one I have though is so small... hmmmm..Did I tell you I have a new coffee maker? yup..Raelynn picked it upfor me tuesday for a surprise..she took all the soda cans back and had enough to get this one..just a small one but is just perfect for me..Shes a good egg..I hope she stays..She didnt come today,, she got a new car..and has to get it all registered etc..but will be here tomorrow..and then I guess sunday too.. I was waiting for her this morning too she was sposta bring me 2 sausage biscuits from McDonalds..I love those things..lol...Only food from there that doesnt go right on thru me ..lol.. Speaking of food..im starved...lunch? well is friday today so was that smelly fish..I dont know where they find this stuff or maybe they dont wash it or something..but I mean it REAKS..of fishy fishy I put it in a plastic bag before I even throw that crap in the trash!!! lol...I have No idea what i want to eat...hmmm guess I will have some Lorna Doone cookies and make some of that raspberry lemonade to drink..sounds good.. ok im hittin publish...nitey nite :-) Y'all have a good one now Y'hear?
