~Hellhome Story~

I lost my 2nd leg in November..days before Thanksgiving.. I honestly cant remember the day, of 2001, I should get my records from the Hellhome. I would like to know the dates I lost these 2 valued members of my family. I will try to get them. I really want to know. I remember the date I moved into this apartment tho.. I moved in here January 11th, 2002.. So I guess was what - 2 months approximately after I lost my left leg.. That photo I put here a while back..was taken the Christmas between that amputation and moving in here. But I would like to read the nurses notes etc.. I know how fast I deteriorated for awhile, then the bounce back..just to go back again. The weight loss- well I went down to less than 100 pounds.. The photo I put here as a SAK, I was very thin and that was probly taken in the late summer..was some kind of holiday there were games, I know. I honestly don't remember the occasion.I know I was throwing darts at a balloon and missed EVERY stinkin one !! well foo..I was blind in one eye and on drugs..what do you expect LOL.. :-) and Half NUTZ lol... Lucky they trusted me with those darts!! :-) There were some funny times..honestly.. I had to try to convince the nursing supervisor that SOMEONE was coming in my room in the middle of the night and was whizzing on the bathroom floor..(whizzing is umm Ok..peein') I was in the last room in the hall and luckily didnt have to share it with anyone other than my room mate, IF they were capable of using it and MOST were not, they didnt give me that kind of roomie, that would have meant I wouldnt get woke up when they had to change her , the other rooms , 2 rooms had to share the toilet..which was 4 people IF they could ALL go in there, which ..well.. most just couldnt and many had little puddles under their chairs :-) I would tell the nurse.. let me keep my door closed..I didnt like that idea, who was sneaking in my room AND WHY..I even had to go get the housekeeper..to prove it.. Well whom ever it was missed the toilet and got the floor.. well I was NOT rolling my chair through that!!! So I yelled to get the housekeeping to come and clean it.. I had to GO!!! Then SHE told the nurse YES it was urine.. I KNOW I was maybe crazy but I did NOT whiz on the floor! Well the head nurse thought as nutz as I was it was probably me that just missed the toilet..well COME ON..No.. SO..... I stayed awake ALL one night.. and waited..pretended I was asleep..Pretty soon I hear this very light splash and sat up..and there is this little old dearie man standing in the door way taking a whiz on MY FLoor!! I yelled athim "HEY...WHAT are you DOING JOE?" he turned SO fast..he whizzed ALL over every where !! and ran out the door..well as fast as a little old man could go!! I scared him bad lol...But as hes trying to escape this aide is coming down the hall and sees me hot behind this guy and this poor dearie just scared to death..she grabs him and asks just WHAT he is doing in THAT hall..he said he got lost ..lol I come up behind him..and said " no- you whizzed in MY room hon." he turns and looks at me and says" you wave at EVERYONE else at lunch and NEVER ME" I felt so bad!!! I apologized to him..and promised I would wave at him EVERY time I saw him..He smiled and went off to his room..he knew the way then lol.. I laughed with the nurse..told her, "see? I told you I wasnt THAT crazy" lol.. But the dearies there, doesnt that just show you, how sad, even just a smile, made their day. So many there didnt know they were and I honestly was glad.. I made a point to talk to smile or do something every day for those dearies.. I loved every single one of them, One lady came up to me shortly after I was put in there,and said "i'm so GLAD your here, now I have a new friend, will you be my friend?" I am SO glad I escaped there but so sad I had to leave them behind... Well I have done a number on my back I think digging and pulling on my bed to get the transfer board..Raelynn yelled at me today about that when she saw the pain I am in and my hand how swollen.. I must have bumped it or something.. My right stump is hurting me so bad..It started yesterday shortly after I got up..By the time I logged off after posting last nite..I was in such pain I couldnt stand it.. The pain is inside..and goes down the back of my stump and feels like it is in my hip. I sat up and laid and rolled and SWORE so many times.. I was up ALL night.. I came VERY VERY close to calling 911, but I stuck it out.. When Raelynn got here, needless to say I was NOT in a good mood, and in horrible pain..There were sharp bursts of pain so hard that my stump would actually move on its own. As of right now its alot better and I spent most of the day trying to calm this down and it has worked. I took a couple of my old pain pills I forgot I had..Raelynn reminded me I had them in the bathroom.. I wish I had remembered last nite..Hell I didnt even remember my name last nite !! lol. They have worked some and I did manage to get a couple hour nap today. And needless to say I am going to go back and lay it down. I dont know if the digging and bed pulling etc was the main culprit..I have been complaining about this bed, well mattress for a while..I think the 2 have caught me.. and I did over do.. I still need to learn more patience.. Like I said I'm slow..but I'm sure...and I am SURE headed back to bed. My boy is just sitting here looking at me as if to say "ok mom, whats the game plan?" kids.. they were so worried, bless their hearts..They HOVERED and laid on me, trying to help.. :-) they know...Nitey Nite... :-) Y'all have a good one now Y'hear? luv ya...and thanks..Dont worry im ok...
