~The Rampers Arrived!~

I wish I could have recorded the sounds of today to put here.

Guess what the sound was ? lol..yup..skil saws..hammers,

people talking.. they built my ramp~~!!!!!!!~~~~ 4 men showed

up ..I heard talking outside.Penny had just gotten here and said

"the guys are here to build your ramp". I said "HUH?" .I opened

the door and there they were, standing there discussing my ramp,

I looked out the window and sure nuff.. there was that truck with the

wood sticking out the back, slowly backing across the yard.!.:-)

I turned went to the door, opened it and I said hello and told them

how much I really appreciated them building this for me, the one

man says "there wont be any keepin you inside now!!" I smiled

and agreed.~!~.
They measured and discussed the best way to do it..and I looked

at the lumber..its all weather treated wood.. it will last for ever..If I

ever move I will be able to take it with me as it will only be nailed

to the porch.. I am so excited.. Only thing now .lol.. I wont have an

excuse to not go out lol.. no I dont mind going..when its hard to

go then I do mind..I think this is just so wonderful and all the snows

gone!...some good people..bless their hearts.. :-)

As of 4:30 today, the ramp was done.I had made a phone call

to the local paper here in town and I told them about these 4 guys,

and Home Depot building this ramp for me, that I thought this might

be a good human interest story .. something good..to show ..hey

there are some great people out there that will help someone in

need.. I bet I called everyone and their brother to build one..that

lady at United Way, and the lady I talked to at Home Depot..Well

they will have many stars in their crowns.. these 4 men? well..theirs

will be heaven laden with stars in theirs for what they did today.

Im excited.. .!.This is so good.. lol..The lady from the paper

here ELena, just a sweetie came out from the Commercial News

Newspaper here in town, said she had gone by once and saw they

were building it..and decided to come back later when it was about

done and to talk to me.. Well I hoped they would come out and

see these guys..but an interview with me? well she and I talked

for a long time ..she was really interested..about the disability part

of it ..which is the MAIN thing of all this.. for not disabled. but any

one thats in a chair..what its really like on a daily basis ..she asked

some really good questions whats the hardest thing to do every day.

I told her to just LIVE.. thats the biggest challenge, not a day goes

by that Im not reminded of what was so easy to do NOW is so hard.

and how my life did a total complete turn around in 5 years..from

everything.to nothing.to everything again.and to nothing.. yet here..

Im right here AGAIN. its a fight- She asked "where is the first place

your going to go?" I had told her I hadnt been out of here in a month,

that I very seldom go.. I told her " to Home Depot.to thank them

for this.. I think I should do that. this is great of them to do for me" ..

I m gonna be in the paper lol.

She took pictures. I mean...I did NOT Look my best now.. I hope

she lets me see the pics first. I can doctor them up so I look good-

I dont care what I look like.. the main thing was these great people

did this for me It was mainly about that, helping people. caring.like
the ones did this. I'll be in the paper..yes.Ive lots to say about whats

what and how I found things to be. She said maybe another reporter

there might really be interested in this as doing a byline or what ever

that is. I told her I tell how hard it is to be in a chair.life isnt easy, I
discuss openly, issues I face every day.. I gripe and whine and
COMPLAIN.. I almost used another word LOL. which might better
describe it lol.NO,I dont tell CRAP.lol. I do get mouthy when things
arent right..but well ..someone has to.Like I told her.. this life is NOT
easy.. I dont care what age your at..its not..specially if you dont have
someone there, around all the time.. She noticed how nice my little
house is.. I told her the painting story- about me and that bloomin
nail for that picture over there. I tell on my stupid self I dont care..
I laugh at me..lol.. Boy If I didnt i bet I would explode. lol. She was so
nice and interested. . .

But today was....well a good day.. Not long after they left . the phone

rang. was Chris.. says "Nice ramp you got there, " I said " yeah

buddy, nice one hey" Windows tomorrow.! .it is too ..theres like a

wide spot when you go out the porch door so the door can swing

wider.. and side rails all the way down.. I cant take pics until some

one is here wednesday but if its in the newspaper here tomorrow

well I'll put the link..

NOW,get this- today was so good-while they are building the ramp

I call the Post Mistress? Mastress? anyway...asked her if she had

gotten the fax from the dr.. of course she said no..so I call the dr..

Cherise says. "dr. is out on medical leave..she will do it when she

gets back," this is 2 months now Ive been trying to get this mail

fixed..no..6 weeks... I told her "no no, then call my main dr and

get him to do it..NOW-get this she says " well I guess the provider

thats filling in could sign it" EXCUSE ME? ALL this time? I didnt

even think of that- they had to have a replacement- why didnt
THAT person do it before? well she assured me she would have this
dr thats there do it or take it to my main dr. See ?.. now this could
have been done, its sat there..and they had a dr there that could
have signed that form my legs are gone permanently you know?
TODAY she said she will make sure its done.. So. heres the kicker..
when I went out there.. I look..these dear men.. the one says..
"we moved your mailbox so now you can get to it yourself. we
made the area big enough.. we even called the post office to make
sure we could move it too"

NOW..is THIS good or what? THANK YOU LORD!!!! :-)

I rolled out to the door and all 4 of the guys are there and the lady

from the newspaper is taking video or pictures, One guy says "are

you gonna try it out?" I said "you bet, but someones gotta help."

One comes up the ramp and proceeds to push me down it, again,

I thanked them all ..and he pushes up that wonderful ramp then

back up.. I told them thank you again..One then says

"Now you got to go out and use it" I told him..well soon as I find

someone to go with me I will" when I got back inside I thanked

him again told him how much I sincerely appreciated this..he

says "you know what we say? Merry Christmas", and walked

out closing the door behind him. :-) Is this good? I LOVE IT..:-)

I get my chair fixed or these floors , . Ill be set..well I could use

those things for the bathroom though..But this is a good thing..

Who knows what can come out of this.. The girl from the paper

asked could she post the address to this blog..I told her Yes!

maybe what I write will help someone else thats in a

chair..and they have no one to really ask..or even the devotee

issues I discuss..I did with her.. Its not something I think a devotee

should be ashamed of..nor I....So I told her a little about my TWO

worlds..which Ive said..I live in..and I love it..But If I can help any

one for any reason..to adjust or feel good what ever..well then

GOOD!! hey even if I make you smile at my stupids..that I TELL

on my own self..She laughed at the painting Story lol..I hope

i can..thats a blessing..isnt it.?. I told her I count mine every day.

Cuz there is one every day..Look how many today!! 4..i mean

as in FOUR men out side here all at once? and all HANDSOME

too now lol Penny said " HEYYY " lol..and then my wonderful

wonderful ramp..my mail box.. even being in the paper !! hey

this is good..lol..was a great great day .and Im pooped.. I wasnt

out there working like those sweethearts today but well I guess

I am still recuperating ..I go in bursts of energy and I have to take

advantage of them ..why it takes me 3 days to recover :-) My show

is on tonite..Prison Break .. Lord. that man is so handsome..

those eyes.. what a doll.. :-) Sweet Dreams for me..see? they do

come true..NOW..wheres my Knight.? lol..:-) Nitey Nite :-)
