~Moods~

Well.. I am in a very bad mood again... I found out
yesterday that Wright Filippis has decided NOT to
provide a chair for me..since I am the one that doesn't
want to do what I need to ..to be able to get one..NOW.
does THAT sound right? I NEED the chair..so I would
try to stop me getting one or make it hard to get one?
That is what my Health Plan of Michigan Insurance
person told me Deborah... Since I refused to accept the
chair that JOHN said I needed they have decided NOT
to pursue selling me another one.. They got caught trying
to pedal a 9000 chair on me..that I did NOT want is what
I think ..They maybe figgured they were dealing with some
old stupid woman that would just accept what they say..

The chair they brought was awful..I looked on line last nite
at chairs..and EVERY single one had the joy stick on the
right..NOT the left like it was on that chair they brought..
They LIED to me and said on the LEFT was the side it
usually came on.. I had to have the front tires to be more
stable in a raising chair..JOHN did not tell me that.. He
did all his measureing and stuff looked over my old one,
and THEN HE told me what HE thought I should have.. I
saw a great one..a quickie..that would be great.. I really
liked it..and it was ONLY 5000...Anyway.. Im back to
square one again...

When I talked to the head guy with the chair dept and told
him I wont do a side transfer..how did he expect me to get
out and into this chair by myself with out a front transfer..
He had NO idea or even would consider the fact that it was
Dangerous for a dak to do a side transfer..well unless there
is something to block the forward fall should that happen..
When I told him this he had NO idea what I meant yet he
was a wheel chair expert..well If you arent IN one..and have
to USE one daily I think part of the education of being an
expert is NOT complete then.. At least in my opinion... Yet
I get accused of hindering my getting a chair..amazing..

I am so furious about this I could just spit.. I have even a hard
time talking about it let alone writing about it.. In 2..as in TWO
months it will be ONE as in 1 year that I have been trying to get
a power chair..and I am the one they say is causing the delay.
Deborah said that's because some of the wheelchair places
wont deal with me..and YES..that's probly true..If I don't like what
they do or say or how they act your RIGHT..I get pissy. and I say
just how it is.. and they don't like it..They prefer to deal with
mousey people that are so intimidated and scared they will lose
what they have they go along with what ever is put before them.
I WONT... I told Theresa today about this..she was really upset..
and gave me a couple good places to go to see about stirring
up a stink about this.. this is WRONG!!

Penny has a job at one of the senior apts here to clean the building
she said many have talked to her..that need someone to help them.
one dear lady 83, cannot get someone to come in there and help
her.. and she is so afraid and doesn't KNOW how to help herself
get what she needs.. I feel so sorry for these people that they are
being so intimidated and made to feel they are just damn lucky
they get a free what ever it is lunch... I told Theresa about that
too.. All these places that are supposed to help..like COA and
they say..no charge..but heres your donation bill..then wanted my
insurance info to bill them for a ride for me to the Dr. yet it was a
ride paid by donation.. I don't understand... but I sure would like
to get on that COA board.. I bet they would all do uglies in their
undies if I did that .. I have thought about it tho.. something has
to be done..these people are scared..and they don't even tell
their family for fear they will say something to coa and they get
in trouble..its sad.. these dearies deserve better than this... So
much crap going on everywhere...

I got some plastic runners for in here on the floor .. I honestly
don't think it will work.. I think they will still sink down and be
just as hard to navigate on.. Penny will help me put them down
tomorrow.. We put risers under my couch yesterday..its so
funny lookin.. The risers are 6 inch ones.. Theresa's feet almost
didn't hit the floor!!! I had to laugh.. I need shorter ones the
blocks of wood I had before were 2inches thick and were 2 of
them.. they worked good.. now with my couch this high you can
see all the crap I have hidden under it.. that's not good.. I had
forgotten where I put my keyboard..so I was glad to see it.. Its
a musical one.. I can play it..one hand tho.. I would give any
thing to learn how to play 2 hands.. I love piano music..well I
like any kind of music.. A friend sent me some cds of violin
music that is just wonderful..so soothing.. Very talented.. I
really enjoy them...

Lunch was awful and I didn't eat it..and of course that means
this mean hateful lady that is sabotaging her wheel chair
acquisiton is hungry..well time to eat.. calm down and watch
some TV and of course..say.."nitey nite"...

Y'all have a good one now Y'hear? love ya..and thanks..
Always,Lois ****

God Bless you is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe
until I write again..

See, if you lived in Sweden, they would probably have a very functional chair for you. An american chair does not seem to keep the client into consideration. It is 12:40am and I am tired and will go to bed.

    Hi, Honey,
I looked on Wright & Filipis site, and , I quote,

"Wright & Filippis is one of the Midwest's largest supplier of wheelchairs. Fully trained Rehabilitation Technology Technicians work with therapists, physicians and other healthcare professionals during evaluation and fitting to ensure a clinical quality and a custom product to suit your needs and lifestyle."

"The Rehab Seating Division offers a complete line of mobility, seating and positioning products. Wright & Filippis is uniquely qualified to meet the needs of referral sources and clients."

Is this complete CRAP or what? They are one of the worst bullies that I have come across for some time, What they are trying to do to you really sucks. I hope this will be a warning to anyone of an independent nature who might want to avail themselves of their "services"

There used to be a saying in this country:- "The customer is always right" I guess it doesn't apply anymore.

Chin up, Honey. Don't let the B-----ds wear you down!
