~Roses Roses EveryWhere~
Roses, Roses everywhere, and I am enjoying them so
much..That's the one by the garage door, theyre pink
and they are climbers, I wish I could fix some kind of
trellis out there for them. The smell is wonderful.. I
past year before I moved in and you can see it hasnt been.
The rose bush are red roses..and its covered with them.
Some stems a little longer than the other.. If I had known
last winter I would have pruned them really nice and they
would have come back even fuller..that's on the right side
planted under neath. This one is just like the other. They
are both doing wonderfully. Just past that basement
window is that bush we werent sure of what it was its a
peonie, a light pink one. Dawn came by last nite and was
looking around out there and told me when she came in
its going to have one bloom on it..that's all that seems to
be growning, but with no care its surprising it came up..
Those little purple flowers that Penny brought in they
are called Granny's Bonnets and come in all sorts of
wonderful sizes..Raife and Ines are garden experts and
he told me that is what they are called and really that's
buzzed here and seein crooked? that's a kid for ya.. He said
3 poles were broken..and he said he went up on the roof to
fix the leak..Penny was here then, I was ... we did NOT hear
him on the roof..We didn't see a ladder with him either.. He
was sposta be back yesterday to finish the plaster..well he
will see that wood up there is soaked and its already seeped
thru where he just plastered just like it did over there above
the couch.. Its not hard to take care of a place...I don't under
stand why someone would have a home then not take good
care of it... I had my own home in Indiana and Texas.. we
took great care of it. Ken Sr. said so many of the renters he
gets don't take care of his places...I believe that..but then..I
wonder how long it takes him to do the repairs before they
get even worse.. Hes got too many houses to take care of.
I wish I could find a better place, and If I look hard enough
maybe I can find one..
The heat is unbearable..it was 88 yesterday, Dawn came in
here last nite and said "Gran, its hotter in here than it is out
side", as she reached up to pull the ceiling light cord, I said
"NO!" and at that time LB was already up and charging off,
he was terrified.. I explained hes scared to death of that fan,
and I just cant turn it on...he lives here too..This fan I have is
ok if you are not too far from it.. I moved it into my bedroom
last nite,,I was tired..I had been up early, I fixed the fan, pulled
up to my bed, scooted across, snuggled my butt down and
leaned back on the pillows...well.. I did NOT feel that fan at
all. I sat up, leaned forward, like I sleep sitting up, I could feel
the fan. I sat there for a minute..and I decided I would just
sleep sitting up then cuz I wasn't draggin my butt back into
that chair, rolling like hell across that bloody carpet, just to
change the direction of that fan..Now..that's bad..I was tired..
My point. if I had my legs, I would have just sat up, stood up,
reached, and moved that fan...what I had to go thru to do
that, no..I was tired.. I get reminders every day of this chair
life.. I did put the word out to every one and their brother,
aunts and red headed cousins.. to keep a look out for a air
conditioner for me.. Im going to call Stanley and see if he
will ask some of the people from his church if one of them
might have one or take up a collection, I saw one in a ad
for 120.oo.. that's not bad, a small 110 one which is what
I need, would work good for this small place.. I think though
by getting an air conditioner what will that do to my electric
bill.. I think the electric company just automatically raises
their rates assuming every one will have AC and fans to run
it up..I hope it rains..but not storms...
I love my roses, and I love the smell.. Im going to watch TV
I love my roses, and I love the smell.. Im going to watch TV
but I will have to hide them or Dutch will eat them during the
night. That's why I don't have plants..Kids don't let their
mother have nuthin :-) "Nitey Nite"
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya, and thanks :-)
Always, Lois ****
