~Chair Stats~
I thought I would take some photos of my new chair with my good
camera. I thought you would be able to see the things that are
extra on it a lot easier.. You can see the joy stick better and that it
is on a swing arm that it will move to the side and back which is
nice for getting up closer to something, a table or like my desk. I
did notice tho that there is no lock on it..and when I am moving it
will swing to the side very easily and that's not a good place for it
when going thru a doorway.. This chair is narrower than my other
manual..its only 18 wide..and you can see easier how thick the
cushion is on this chair..the cushion has a wood bottom to it for
more stability ..as time goes on that chair seat bottom will sag,
and the wood underside of the cushion will keep it still flat.. It
is all black and I think the flash is what made it look gray..
You can see the wing arm better and if you notice it is a
You can see the wing arm better and if you notice it is a
very compact chair, which I like..it can also be disengaged from
the battery and pushed, I cant reach the thingies from sitting in the
chair tho I tried.. and if it was not engaged I would have a hard time
moving the chair my self anyway I would almost have to be pushed.
the sun this chair will just sparkle..it will be so pretty.. I had a choice
of colors etc. but Im plain Jane, black is always best, it goes with
everything.. My other chair wasn't as elaborate as this one..The tires
meter saying how charged it is..over the end up there and under
is where the battery charger plugs in just like my other.. The top
circle is the on off, the one under is a horn..the next two are speed
up and down.. then of course the joystick.. I knocked it off my other
chair when it power surged and stuck me under the kitchen sink,
and broke it off and I mean I was stuck..took me for ever to get out
just him.. If you look at the brace parts in front you can see the
metallic sparkles.. Its a nice chair..I like it and I am so pleased to
have it.. but I wont use it alot..I cant afford to.. If I lose any kind of
strength from what I have now..well that's not good.. a Power chair,
to me now, makes me weak , my arms..and I don't like not having
the instant move I do in my manual as well.. that fast push away
from danger has saved me many times from getting possibly hurt.
and if I had been in a power chair..I would have gotten burnt I know..
They are great tho..I still have to find a place to keep it.. I just have
not gotten everything in its place. The bathroom is big and it will
stay in there for the time being.. A lot of money sitting there..
And speaking of sitting..I do a lot of that..:-) and I am going to go and

Nice chair Lois! You must use it and get outside to see your garden. You didn't mention your arm so does that mean that it is any better?
The boys seems to love the chair, they are very beautiful.
It was a lovely day here until late afternoon when we had a thunderstorm and cloud burst - but at least I didn't have to water the garden.
Sleep well my friend and enjoy your company tomorrow.

When I think of wheel chairs, I remember how important the padding is. I once had an MS pt who had tender skin, he had to send back a cushion fearing it would cause skin ulcers. They do keep improving the design of these chairs.

Dearest Lois!
The chair fits you like a glove, i bet you are a little proud of your new legs.... They (the chair)is not much bigger than your present legs.... so the chair is okey, and you dress marwellous in black....
With electric tires as feets, you get less tired dear!
