~My BirdBath Watering Hole~ :-)

I have the most amazing yard out there.. Whomever it was that

planted the flowers and what all knew what to attract.. You see the

bowl that we put out there for the bunnies..I worried that they would

maybe run across the road, and I don't know if the other neighbors

have water down low.. well? some body has to think of these little

guys.. I know the garden people probly don't like them.but Ive seen

3 now.. Where I lived in Indiana we had a rabbit lived outside the

whole time we lived there..we saw her with babies...we knew was

the same rabbit cuz of the markings on it..had a white spot right

by the tail.. we named her flopsy, she had kind of a droopy ear..Out

there just to the right and up a bit Penny puts the bread for the birds.

Thats just a plastic cheapie bowl, and Penny fixed into the dirt there.
Well anyway, I have been watching my back yard.. and the side now

that I can sit at my table and eat..I sure enjoy that..That tree or bush

that I had called a hibiscus..well no no no.. I KNEW it wasn't :-) Well

its a Rose of Sharon.. they bloom forever it seems.. they have white

ones too..they have to be sweet, because mine is so covered with

bees and birds and today I saw a hummingbird out there.. I need a

shepherds hook with a feeder for them.. I tried to hurry and get my

camera and take a photo.. when I get in a hurry that's when I run into

the door facings..so needless to say by the time I banged in and out

of the doorway the hummingbird was gone.. :-)

So look at the top photo of the bowl..do you see the hornet?

there are 2 on that photo..the one above here only has the one,

but look at the size of that thing..isnt it pretty tho.. even they

are enjoying that little bowl of water..amazing.. I honestly didn't

realize that they need water too but well you see ,, I guess they do..

A while ago there were at least 5 or 6 out there buzzing around.. I

wonder if there is a hive close.. Maybe the lake is too far for them

to go :-) I think that's so pretty tho..
that's really a bird.. honest.. the little buggar was in a hurry

because of the hornets..so hes just drinking and moving a lot

so to keep them away- do birds and bees get along? I have no

idea :-D...You can see the shadow there and I put that little

arrow there to point it out..its just a little sparrow.. I sat out there,

well all 3 of us did for over an hour waiting for another bird to

show up but none did.. Over on the other side of the garage is

that huge oak tree..I think oak..hmmm..anyway there is a huge

squirrel lives there.. I see him all the time..I know he lives here..

When the trees were bare I could see him going limb to limb,

just scooting all over that tree then go to the center trunk and I

think on the other side is a hole or something..that's the biggest

tree out there I think..well no..the one behind the garage is huge

and the 2 in front arent too small either :-)
ok I have big trees too..Theres the house, see that mutant tree

there I want to have taken down..its a little maple I think..in time

it would give that side some shade, now I get that hot afternoon

sun there, and that window by the sign is where I sit and take all

this stuff ..well except for the kitchen, but you can see that window

and the shade is up..that's the one I am enjoying looking out.. with

that Rose of Sharon there and the hummers 'n bees 'n birds, its

nice to see, there are my huge trees! they need a lot of work.. I

KNOW trees after being in the tree service with Willie for over 15

years..and hes still cutting and working on them, why he had to get

back home..he had work waiting on him and hes 76 years old..

still gets out there..he doesn't climb anymore..but hes good.. I wish

he would come do these trees.. a really bad storm..well they are

too thick and too much dead wood and they should be topped..

see? I know.. see my leaky roof? bad shape..note garbage can lid??
There are my two TOE MAH TOE plants..now..are they nice? they

have really been growing.. The one on the left is where my little

beauty is hiding.. I asked Penny today if it was out there.. I love

those little bunnies..but well they better not touch my greenie out

there..I know how to cook rabbit you know. :-) true! I know how to

cook wild game.. I lived in the UP of Michigan..you live there you

learn how to cook wild stuff .. its good trust me..anyway. do you see

the sad rose bush is not there? the baby died.. all that's left you see

are those sticks ..its right between the 2 plants.. Unless they are

really started good ..in a big pot..roses can be fussy and I had not

ever had one like this..I had always gotten big ones..

I sat last nite after dark and looked out that window facing the garage,

and I have never seen a yard so lit up, so full of fireflys..there had to be

tons of them out there..everywhere I looked..it was like the whole back

yard just sparkled they blinked so much.. They would fly up to the glass

and Dutch would see them and hit the glass to try to get them.. I bet he

didn't know what to think.. My backyard is just such a nice place.. I know

a nice deck out back there would be so nice.. My improvised birdbath

and feeder, on the ground seem to be working..all the critters seem to

enjoy it even us critters in here.. :-) GORGEOUS CRITTERS :-D

Well lunch ..lets not go there..I didn't eat it..and Im hungry..I saved

the one from yesterday was mac and cheese with ham..its really good.

I had the left over spaghetti I just HAD to have. so I saved it for today,

and it was so hectic here today with Penny and the phone seemed to

ring constantly with wrong numbers at the wrong time! I will be glad

when I get that one in the bathroom..:-)..well the supper bell is ringing

and this GORGEOUS WEEBLE is gonna roll out to that nice kitchen

and enjoy my back yard :-) Come join me ? :-) "Nitey Nite"
