~Rain, Rain~

Was a gloomy rainy day today.. I can tell it too.. I have been

fidgety all day and just cant seem to find a good way to sit with

out my stumps aching and screaming at me.. I do everything

I can to calm them down but boy sometimes they just do NOT

listen and keep right on aggravating me.. I had a jabbing pain

in my left invisible ankle today that if it had REALLY been there

I probly would have screamed.. I think when I get these really

bad phantoms that DO sincerely really HURT, I ignore them

and just tell myself that they are not there and that it is NOT

possible for it to hurt or have any kind of pain.. I wish I would

listen to myself because that just doesn't do any good either.

Rainy days don't help and I notice the cold really makes them

ache.. I know the other day I was rolling out of the bathroom

and I felt the heat from the register, it felt good..as I rolled on

into the kitchen I said to my self "my feet are cold" ... and

they did feel cold.. that just amazes me..and I just cannot

understand it..and I quite honestly have quit trying to .. I

just learn to cope with it..and just wait for it to pass...
It was so gloomy at times today the traffic had to have their

headlights on..plus if you look in the far background you can

tell its kind of foggy too..and that sure doesn't help..Its so NOT

easy to drive in fog..Ive done that and I sure didn't like it..I

don't like driving in the rain either, the windshield wipers would

give me a raging headache...I drove through a tornado once

on my way home from Donnies when I lived in Indiana.. I know

it was close, but I never saw it.. I did see the trees falling as I

tried to dodge them falling all around me..

I had left Donnies and the sky was getting darker and darker,

I told them I better get home before the storm starts and It would

only take me 15 minutes to get home at the most..wasn't but a

few miles.. As I started down the road the sky changed color and

turned green..there wasn't a breeze, nothing..then all of a sudden

the wind started and almost instantly it seemed it was pitch dark.

I pulled the headlights on and slowed to a crawl.. I knew the road,

was straight with only 2 turns before I got home.. The car was

swerving all over from the wind..a tree went down across the road

in front of me and I had to go thru some peoples yard to get around

it.. as I am creeping down the road I see headlights right up close

behind me.. when I sped up they did, it made every move I did,

following me closely..

I inched my way back towards my house and only had to go thru

one other persons yard because of a downed tree.. I did notice

the roof of that house was gone...The wind slowed and I noted that

the howling sound of it was gone.. It got lighter and I could see where

I was a lot better, I made the last turn into the driveway of my house

and I saw that car was still behind me and pulled into my driveway

too!!.. I stood there for a minute looking to see if there was any

damage to my house which thankfully there wasn't... I looked down

the driveway and there was my friend then, later to become Donnies

wife, before Dawn, Shirley.. She got out of her car and came walking

towards me and said "Gran, I knew it was you, and you were headed

home, and if anyone was going to drive through this I knew you could,

so I stuck to you like glue".. she laughed and we both proceeded

to tell Willie how bad it was..apparently he had slept thru a tornado

going over the house.. Men can sleep thru anything except ,,,,
dinnertime.

Heidi called today as she was sposta be here today and said she

will come on Thursday, she has some clients that are in a very bad

way.. which is a real shame.. She said she will be here thursday..we

will talk about my grant and finding another place for me.. I promised

her I would have the coffeepot on and ready.. I have a bigger pot

besides my little cup at a time which I really like.. Theresa sent me

a mail today and set up Thursday to come by too..but she wont be

here till 2 or so.. I have a feeling will be a hetic week.. I was going to

call COA today and have Curtis take Penny and I to Goodwill , but

I better not and save my pennies just in case I can find a place. I

don't really need anything from there but its been 6 years since I have

been there.. Last time was when I was a SAK..a long time ago...

Well another day is coming to a close and I made it through without

any major drama.. I didn't spill anything, run into anything or fall off

of anything..nothing fell down and I guess all is well in this house

of the GORGEOUS WEEBLE.. you knew I had to say that... and

time to say "Nitey Nite"...
