~Achey Hands ~
I started working on the other blanket for baby today.. I
think it will really be pretty when Im done.. I noticed as I was
cutting all the fringe around the edge how the scissors hurt
my thumb and how my hands ached the more I used them.
I switched cream yesterday to another tube of stuff I had, Ive
I switched cream yesterday to another tube of stuff I had, Ive
had it for quite a while..but I really don't think it loses that much
of its potentency.. It seems to be taking the redness away.. This
stuff doesn't hurt..even if I touch it.. the skin looks so red like its
almost burnt..which it isnt.. I just have NO idea what it is or what
its from.. I do know I wanna get rid of it though, it looks awful.
I did start to put some warm wash cloths on it, like I did my stump
when it was so badly infected.. sometimes just soap and water
is the best treatment there is.. that's what worked for my left
stump when it was so bad..All those expensive things they tried,
nothing worked and seemed to make it worse.
I didn't get that first phone call today which is most discouraging.
I had thought Deborah at HPM..my insurance, would have found
I had thought Deborah at HPM..my insurance, would have found
out something to let me know what she could do.. I had hoped
talk my Dr into sending the lab to me.. From what I have found
out the VP, visiting Dr has changed policy to cover only certain
people and I am not one of them anymore.. As valuable as it is
to homebound people to have a Dr come to them, you would
think more would do it.. like they did when I was growing up...
Seemed every week end..by Friday nite I would be sick.. I had
a problem with my ears or I would get swollen glands in my neck
that would put me right down.. But I remember the Dr then..was
Dr. Cooper, he would come to the house to usually give me a
penicillin shot..which NOW I am most allergic to it.. I guess I had
too much of it when I was younger.. They gave me a shot when I
first got a staff infection in one of my incisions.. I don't remember
which.. but I do know I broke out in a rash that I wish I had been
laying on nails so I could scratch every where.. It was awful.. I
may need some extra anti biotics now to fight what ever this is
on my hands and arms.. maybe that would help.. When I went to
the Dr before for my elbow she gave me some strong pills to
fight what ever it was back then..that rash.. well now its back
worse, so maybe a round of strong anti biotics would help...
I was sitting here working on the blanket when there was a loud
tap and the door opened, scared me.. It was Penny, she had
gone to get the food box which has the good cheese in it..And
there was even a small ham ! There was quite a bit in it.. Then,
bless her heart , she said "Lois, I have time to run and get a Icee
for you".. well now, you KNOW I said "no" haha..I gave her the
money so fast , I mean like real quick.. 2 days in a row and then
tomorrow too? well I worry about tomorrow though from what I
hear in the weather, its sposta get pretty bad as the day wears
on.. but its sunny and bright now and has been..but this is just a
teaser.. So if push comes to shove and Penny cant get out Of
her yard tomorrow I have a ICEE to day.. Well Eddie is back,
so I doubt if she would get snowed in..Im sure he would dig her
out..but depends how much of the white stuff we get too...
I just ate lunch and that makes me tired even more, and now I
think I need to get out of this chair.. I did get up early and Im
tired of sitting.. when I worked on the blanket I used a TV tray and
when I sit certain ways it puts pressure on my stumps and then
they ache and I have to steady change positions, and I think the
best position is in there watching TV and knitting and leaning
back on my pillows and sitting on my nice soft comforter, helps
to soften the hard mattress... Time to roll and time for my
GEORGEOUS WEEBLE "nitey nite" :-)
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya, and thanks :-)
Always, Lois ****
God Bless you, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again.....

The so called Christians in Missouri seem to hate the poor people. If you earn more than $320 a month they throw you off Medicaid or you have to pay for a portion of the care called excess income spend down. Why do religious people hate the poor?
