~HORNS!~ :-(

There is a company here that's associated with the UAW, and

they are on strike.. I put a photo here last week of the strikers..

Well these guys ALL this time are still out there. They stand on

the side of the road RIGHT ACROSS the street.. as the cars go

by they frantically WAVE at them, which causes the people in

some of the cars to HONK their horns.. Do you know how nerve

wracking that is..??? 24 hours a day for over a week I have heard

car horns blaring.. They wake me up ALL night when they are out

there. Some nights they arent.. but I KNOW when they are out

there.. Everyone that comes by here and stays for any length of

time and can hear them comment.. Just yesterday Rebecca asked

how I can stand the horns, that it was so irritating.. When I heard

a car horn at 4:45 am this morning, got up and saw them standing

out there waving at the cars.. well I was UP.. These guys I know

are having a problem..but because THEY have one..NOW I have

another that I sure don't need!!!

So, I called the union office, and I told them I didn't appreciate the

fact that they had to instigate these cars to blow their horns. I am

1 block from the hospital.. I am surprised they allow it.. but when

the cops that make their daily check on them,they don't pay any

attention that there are HORNS blowing, cuz the people seeing

the cops out there wouldn't dare for fear they WOULD get in

trouble, so they arent gonna blow them.. The guy I talked to was

very nice.. and I understand if they wanna Go on strike.. but this

is a residential as well as a business area and I KNOW I am

not the only one here that has got to be hearing this. If the ones

on each side of me don't then they MUST be deaf, or are never

home or sleep at night... Its really aggravating.. I have to say

tho.. since I phoned them they have stopped waving at the cars,

and I guess where they were standing right out here is NOT

where they were sposed to be..but farther down the road that

runs along side over there...so Im glad.. I do hope they get this

settled tho..

That was ONE call for today, I still havent gotten a call back from

my insurance lady OR Sandra, and I decided I want a nice calm

week end with NOTHING on my mind so I will wait till Monday

to call and inquire as to why they have NOT called me back like

they said they would.. I didn't sleep well last nite and I asked

the lunch girl.. I need to find out her name, about lunch yesterday,

it was the worst I have tasted from there.. one of the very best

lunches they had was meat loaf.. which they sent yesterday, I

honestly thought after a few bites that it was bad.. I got kinda

sick and ickky feeling..and the taste it left in my mouth was

awful .. I bet I brushed my teeth 3 times and washed my mouth

out just as many times. I STILL could taste it when I went to bed.

She said no one else complained so it must just be me?

Well I KNOW why many don't..they are afraid they will have their

lunches stopped.. When you complain to COA that's their stock

answer.."if you don't like how we do things, we will stop our

services to you" Ive been told that a few times.. which is very

much like intimidation I would say.. Let them stop my lunches..

oh well..I don't depend on them..but I KNOW many do.. some

have to divide what little they get in half so they have a supper!

Thankfully and Gratefully I don't.. It worrys me though when I think

of the dearies that need this.. and CANT and wont complain..

Why COA cant see what they have or are doing is beyond me..

But then the one in charge of this one only has book learning..

shes not a senior or disabled..and until you actually KNOW

and live something you don't really KNOW what its like or can

you totally understand it..

Well I have griped and whined and all that and I am done doing

that for today and its time to be happy and wait for the week

end.. The boy came by last nite..and sadly he got a ticket.. I

guess they overlooked the fact that Donnies tag on his car ran

out in January-well he found out it has and its costing him $90.oo

to make it right.. Just seems like too much of a fine..but that's the

joys of a small town.. they have to get the money any way they can,

and the police here ... well they look for ANY reason to stop some

one, which they did.. and they got Donnie.. I feel for the kid.. it is

always something, their home front is on the mend.. and I am so

glad..they both were so upset and want things right.. well as long

as each is very willing to work at what they know they want.. it

will work out..but they both have to realize its not just ONE that
can cause problems..it takes 2 to get along and 2 to fight..

Well my fight is with my clicker and trying to stay awake so I can

work on babyboys afghan.. its so pretty ..Pretty shouldn't be for

a boy but.. well its blue...so its ok.. Todays lunch was pizza from

Little Cesares.. their 5 dollar lunch one.. its really good and even

better cold..that's my dinner and there is enough for tomorrow

too..Time to get out of this chair..and do some knittin..and watchin

and saying my GORGEOUS WEEBLE "Nitey Nite"... :-)
