~Lost An Hour~
I lost an hour of my very necessary beauty sleep.. :-) I forgot
about the time change but I did NOT touch my computer's
time or the VCR, they set automatically, which, last fall, when
we fell back I reset my computer and wondered for hours what
was wrong with my computer and sites with the time on them..
Well I Set my computer back and it already HAD..so I was 2 hrs
behind, I had fun that day.. Today though I remembered and I
havent touched nuthin..someone tells me my time is off again
havent touched nuthin..someone tells me my time is off again
Im gonna move to a state that doesn't do this.. I listened to the
reasons why this state still does this when most don't.. and well
quite frankly my dear I think they are really kinda.. well.. I'll be
nice.. to me theyre not logical to others I bet they are downright
stupid... I wish we didn't have to do this, many that live here and
work in Indiana this time change is hard, which the kids do.
A friend was telling me that they were having a St. Patty's day
A friend was telling me that they were having a St. Patty's day
parade there today, starting at noon..and they were going to have
a sort of mini bbq before, during and after the parade. Its a long
one, about 3 hours or so..which out in the cold can be hard on you
if you havent taken the time to dress warmly. I remember many
parades that I had to be in..and they were fun. In school, I was in
the band.. I played the licorice stick as its called, really the clarinet.
I wasn't the greatest at it..but it was fun cuz the band got to go to
all the games for free...and plus we took a lot of trips that were a lot
of fun, when we had to march, for a parade or for the foot ball games
sometimes that wasn't easy.. To watch where you were going and if
you didn't memorize your music it wasn't easy...
We usually only marched during half time for the foot ball games and
we were very good at it.. The band director, Mr. Housel was very
skilled at managing a bunch of high school kids to get us to look
professional.. Our uniforms were black with gold trim and the hats had
huge yellow feathers in a large plume on the top with a visor on the
brim.. I was marching along, trying to pay attention to where I was
supposed to go and I hadnt memorized the music so I was trying to
do both.. As I marched along, I stepped into a hole in the ground and
lost my balance, my hat fell forward, so did I and as I went down I
reached out and grabbed the girl in front of me, she went down, and
the guy behind stepped on me..then tripped over the other girl and
we had a nice pile up of 3 or 4 of us.. of course I was on the bottom!!
We all got back to our feet as fast as we could knowing everyone in
the bleachers and the millions of others watching us fall all over each
other.. I was so embarrassed.. We all laughed but when I went down I
still had my clarinet in my mouth and it hit the roof inside and I swear
it almost came out my nose ! I did cut the inside..not badly . The others
all had minor stuff but nothing drastic other than just looking like total
idiots out there on that field.. We marched in snow, rain..all that good
stuff.. We really had fun sometimes.. I still can read music and I wonder
could I still play the clarinet if I still had one? I can play the piano, I
would LOVE to take lessons and be able to play both hands..now I
can only play one, I sure would like to learn though..See? never stop
Learning.. well being in this chair..is a learning experience EVERY
day too, that I don't think will ever stop...
I looked up online today about rashes. and it said that stress is a very
major factor in some kinds. I think that could be a big part of mine. I
notice when I get really stressed out about something..that it itches,
or seems to get redder.. I have decided that I will phone my Drs
office tomorrow as the weather looks pretty good this week and our
snow is gone, and what is expected I don't think will add up to much.
If I call tomorrow hopefully they can get me in as soon as possible
and then I can have them arrange to have the lab girl come there and
draw me. I hate blood tests as the veins in both arms are so bad the
only place they can really get me is on the base of my left thumb..The
big vein that goes down it..They have to use those tiny baby needles
or the vein will roll or collapse, that's why I hate blood tests..all the
other sites that they would usually use, like the bend of your arm..they
are too scar tissued up and not acessible..It really doesn't hurt there
on my thumb..but before long that site will give up too.. But Ive tried
3 different creams on this rash on my hands and arms..and none of
them are working so I have no choice but to get them checked I cant
take any chances.. I was just hoping I could save myself the agravation
of making 4 calls to set up a ride to the Dr. But I will go this week if I
can get in..
So anyway, was a calm, quiet day today which I was glad, and with
this time change went by even faster and now its post time and time
for my famous GORGEOUS WEEBLE words again.."Nitey Nite" :-)
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear ? love ya, and THANKS!!! :-)
Always, Lois ****
God Bless you, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again.....

Hi, Honey,
I do declare, your pics get better all the time. That blue dress is SUPER, old bean!! (Hows that for Limey talk? lol )
Anyhoway, thank you for the pics - they have gone straight into the Archive of Gorgeous Weeble Pictures!!
I just hope all these lasses who are supposed to be giving you support on your various problems extract their various digits and get things right for you.
Hope all goes well with getting to the Dr.
Take care, Honey,

I had some thoughts about your rash on your left arm - could it be reoccuring staph. I think once you have it it is difficult to totally eradicate. Good luck in a doctor's visit. Here in generous NY state - at least NYC they would take to to the Drs office via ambulette or draw blood at home to check you for infections.

Hi Momar,
Yes, I do carry staph.. I know that for a fact..I think restricted blood flow could be a problem to stop healing.. I read stress can cause this too.. and that patch I have to wear.. I will find out.. Its gotta GO!..lol..
So nice to hear from you :-)
