~My HoneyGirl~

Isnt that just the cutest picture? That's my honeygirl, Kelli Beth, in her
Papa's shoes and my cat Skeeter. Kelli was 3.. She LOVED that cat,
and he loved her.. She could do anything to him and he just
stayed right with her.. He was a big black Burmese and a
really good kid.. He wasn't just indoors..He came and went as
he pleased..sometimes gone for a day or 2..He knew not to
be gone longer or he wouldn't get back in for another day..
He steady brought me peace offerings of birds or even a
squirrel.. The bluejays that nested in the big Oak tree in the back
of the house hated him and would dive bomb him every time he
went too close to that tree... Was funny to watch...But those
birds would attack anyone that came too close..When they had
babies up there we knew to stay away from that tree. They are
very aggressive birds..Poor Skeeter got clawed a couple times ..
When Kelli would get to the house in the morning first thing she
would do was look for Skeeter..Kelli had a little girls shopping
cart and she played with that all the time. When she would get
that cat and drag him toward that thing he knew what was
coming..She stuffed that cat, you can see how big he was, into
that cart thing and every time that cat would try to jump out, she
would smack him on top the head and tell him "NO YOU STAY!"
and continue to push him around.. He stayed in that cart.. She
had gone home one night and I got to calling Skeeter..He always
came when I called him.. I called and called him and that cat
was NO where to be found! I started to get worried.. I sat at
the kitchen table all worried and upset about him and all of
a sudden I hear this MEOOOOWWWWWW.. a most forlorn
whiney meow I ever heard.. I followed the sound..and guess
where that cat was? Yup..he was still in that grocery cart of
Kellis.. he wasn't taking any chances of her being around and
smacking him on top the head if he got out.. I picked him up
out of that thing and I could almost hear a sigh of relief from
Skeeter ..he jumped down and ran to the door to go outside..
The next time Kelli came he hid from her.. :-) but I didn't blame
him.. I would have run too crammed in that little cart thing..
My rabbit is back in fact there are 3 out there.. I saw them out
there early this morning about 6 am.. Those sunflower seeds
I put out there they are really enjoying them...
Now, Looky my roses over by the garage.. Penny came today and
took my camera out there and took some photos for me of them..
There are so many buds it is almost falling over..
Isnt that pretty? I love roses.. I am so grateful to have these wonderfully
beautiful things out in my yard to enjoy..Whomever that was that planted
all these I am sure glad they did.. I hope they know how much I am
enjoying all their work..

Penny came today and we are all clean and squeaky..She made
some spaghetti sauce for me and I plan to make some angel hair
pasta, which is my favorite.. I got up early today thanks to my boys.
I don't know why but when it hits about 5 they start to prowl and
do their best to try to wake me up..Dutch KNOWS how ..he comes
up and lays by my face and then proceeds to lick my face..if that
doesn't work, THEN he will start to lick my eye lids.. NOW,, there
aint NOTHING gonna make you open your eyes any faster than that.
Its like sand paper.. when I need a good facial I just call Dutch..hes
got the roughest tongue of any cat Ive had.. Well its spaghetti time
and I am hungry so Im off to food land.. first my GORGEOUS
WEEBLE "nitey nite" :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and THANKS!! :-)
Always, Lois ****

God Bless you, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again.....

So much wild life in a city. The NY Times one time had a group of nature scientists inventory a vacant lot right in the heart of NYC and it was amazing how much wild life there was in one lot.

Skeeter sounded like a wonderful cat Lois. And it sounded like Kelli Beth had lot of fun with that cat too.
Very nice pictures of your rose too.
We lost our electric for about 25 minutes last night, what a show it was for a while outside.
I think we are getting a bit to much of rain...but I do want some rain in July and August.
Another very long day again, hoping to be able to stay home most of Thursday afternoon. Another ball games that night for Becky and Michael.
I wish Pam was able to go to the games, she still under the weather.
Taking her to her Dr appt in the morning then hoping to take her out to eat for lunch, if she is up to it.
Love all the pictures you put in here Lois.
    God bless you
    Mary

    Hi, Honey,
Wasn't Kelli Beth just an absolute little Poppette? And what a good car Skeeter was, to take all that "affection"!
That rose on your garage reminds me of the one that grew up the front of "Oak Ende", the house I was raised in, near Barnet, just north of London. I hope it has a beautiful perfume - if it don't, it ain't a TRUE rose!!
    Take care, Honey,
    Luv Ya,
    Raife
