This is an old photo taken back in 1964. The house in the back is the cottage that I put some photos of last week I think..The guy there is the father of my sons..Danny, as I called him..We had gone home over a week end..I was in nurses training then and Danny was in the Air Force..You see how good the fishing was in that lake.. You can see this side of the cottage with the steps that went up into the foyer or little porch.. There was an elderly lady lived next door in just a tiny small looked like just one big room..Mrs. Dugar was her name and she drove that little ford falcon you see in the background.. Its amazing what you remember isnt it?
Danny is a child of the 60's..look at the hair.. He took forever to get that just right to where it was exactly in the center and had just that right over lap to make that v in the front.. I think every guy at Sawyer had their hair like that.. and look at the white socks and loafer shoes.. A kid of the times hey? I love old photos.. I plan to send this to my boys, I doubt if Danny has it, well Dan as I understand hes called now. Hes in Arizona..He was a good looking guy and very quiet , and those are the ones you need to watch out for. We did enjoy our times at the cottage tho..We went to visit up there every year... That's my dad and Aunt Ethel..Her husband was my grandfathers brother..they came over from the UK back a long time ago.. The swing my Aunt is sitting on , my dad made the A frame, but the swing is one that was on my grandmothers porch..(Dad's) I can remember sitting in that thing and Grandmother had a cushion with a valance that hung down..when you went back and forth you could feel that hitting the back of your legs.. I had that swing when I lived in the UP back in 90.. I gave it to my dads brothers son.. my very special cousin Ronnie..In fact Ronnie is the one that walked me down the aisle when I marred David in 90.. I thought it should stay with the family and Ronnie is the only decendent I know that's left of my dads family, Im glad he has 2 sons to carry on the family name...
Was a nice day today and I have to say I actually feel good.. It makes me leary though when things go ok and I feel ok too.. I guess its cuz I almost brace my self for the worst and when things go ok Im glad.. It started off bad this morning and I got worried thinking "oh no..its a BAD MONDAY!" those can just screw up your whole week ya know? I started off by not looking and reaching and trying to get my cuppa coffee this morning.. I didn't pay close attention and when I went to move away the cup hit the cart and tipped over and I had coffee everywhere. Luckily that cart is right by the basement door and I keep a towel there cuz of the draft..well I used that to get up the coffee. It went everywhere tho.. I got 99% of it but Penny went back over it just in case I missed some..But even with a kinda bad start today has been great.. I got a very surprise phone call from a dear friend.. Mary.. I was NOT expecting that.. You just made my day..Thanks Mary.. :-) She wont be commenting tonite she is with her friend Patsy but will be back tomorrow.
Well I only had a light snack for lunch and Im hungry..I think I may just go for a PB & J .. I opened that new jar of black raspberry jam.. talk about good? VERY! When I make a PB&J I use 3 slices of bread.. I know - I know.. One slice has PB on it and one slice has Jam on it..then I stack them up..smush them together and have a feast.. I used to put butter down before I put the PB but I stopped.. My sister LOVES peanut butter and puts it in everything.. She even puts it on grilled cheese.. To me, that was NOT good.. to her is was and probly still is :-)
Ok Im later posting cuz I was chattin..and now Im behind on my no schedule... :-) cant let that happen..cant go anywhere yet thought till I write my GORGEOUS WEEBLE "nitey nite"
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and THANKS!! :-) Always, Lois ****

Hi, Honey,
I shall mis Mary's comment. She seems to be SUCH a real nice person.
Had a nice little mackerel for lunch to-day (Tues). I guess it tasted nearly as good as those fish from the lake! (HERE, fishy, fishy!!!)
Just enjoy the good days. The Lord sends those to compensate for all the curve balls you've been sent!!
Take care, Honey,
Luv Ya,
Raife
