~Sturgis Toy Run~

I was sitting here wondering just what I was going
to write about today. You see I'm late... As I sat here
at the computer I heard the police siren coming closer
and closer, however it wasn't getting close very fast..
I looked out the window and saw people sitting across
the street along side the road. A parade? I hadnt
heard of one, but then I don't watch the news very
much.. Its the Sturgis Toy Run.. In Michigan, not at
the other Sturgis.. where the huge bike rally is.. But
there had to be 1000's of bikes.. and they all went
right past my house.. was great...and I bet lasted at
bikes were which without even looking... I could hear
the deep rumble of the Harleys, then I would hear
this high pitched whine of a smaller other kind.. But
it didn't matter they all were having a great time..
As they went down the street they had radios on and

As they went down the street they had radios on andthey waved and yelled at all the people standing on
the side of the street. As I watched all these people
ride these bikes for such a worthy cause, and so many
of them.-. How wonderful is that to see all these people
that came to this bike rally.. they didn't have to.. but
they did.. Makes you have a little more faith in mankind
they had flags and the very first bike a guy dressed as
Santa... The turnout was great .. lots on this street as you
can see in the photos.. so I can imagine the whole route
to Sturgis.. They will go thru Centreville and then on to
I think the fair grounds.. I'm not sure.. I bet I could ride
one of those bikes.. As I sat and watched this one bike
go by and it had a side car.. A beautiful woman was in
it waving and yelling at everyone just having a great time.
I could fit in a side car.. :-) Id go to this rally too.. I do
I could fit in a side car.. :-) Id go to this rally too.. I do
know a few that ride and I am sure they are at this...
wish they had a side car and pick me up so I could go
too.. I really enjoyed seeing them all...
Well I am off to have some spaghetti..Ive not eaten much
today for no reason... but I'm hungry and soon the mail
will run and guess what its bringing? my next movie!! so
yup.. I'm getting some dinner and a drink..and watching
the movie.. Great Saturday today... hope it was for you
too.. :-) This GORGEOUS WEEBLE says "nitey nite"....
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear ? Love ya, and THANKS!!
 Always, Lois ****
"God Bless You" is my prayer today.
I'm so honored to call you "Friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
 Until I write again....

In NYC, the last Friday of the month almost 10,000 bicylists go riding as a group called The Critical Mass. To see that many bicyclists come to the Union Square starting point is something out of a Fredrico Fellini film.

Hi Sweets,
Thanks for the pix and info on the toy run. I'm glad you enjoy taking pix so much! You know I do.
I was in Sturgis once - the one in SD - but not at the time of the rally. Was late Sept and everything was closing up for the winter in the area.
Raife - good luck with the new camera!!
Take care. Bare Hugs,
Butty
