~Rain, Rain~

Rain, rain, and more rain and I sure know it.. That is

ONE thing that I can say I have noticed a difference

since all this began.. As the years go by, I notice that

weather changes I feel them more now than I did,

and they've not improved and are worse.. Sometimes

when its a really strong weather change my stumps

feel like they are so swollen and about to explode. I

hate that.. it not only hurts but there is NO RELIEF!

I just have to sit back, relax and concentrate on some

thing else.. then slowly and I mean SLOWLY the

pressure wears off and they feel normal size again...

I have told many that since day 1 of my right amputation,

well the above knee one, the 2nd.. that my right stump

feels 95% of the time that its asleep.. Ive said MANY

times that stump sleeps more than I do.. I have really

never heard any other amputee tell me that they feel

that till the other day, and it was relayed through some

one else that they knew a amputee that her stumps

felt like they were asleep too.. So maybe the 'sleep'

feeling IS common.. I always just contributed it to a

pinched nerve or something cut off wrong.. I have no

idea I just thought this 'sleep' feeling was normal for

a amputee... what I get for thinkin' hey? :-)

I have found out that there will be a week this summer

that this little town will be alive with some of the best

magicians in the world.. They will gather for meetings

and seminars and shows.. Walk the streets and do tricks,

all sorts of things.. So, I have invited my 2 friends, both

named Linda to come for a visit when the week long

festivities are on.. Both are very anxious to come here.
They arent daks. both are singles.. plus one has lost a hand.

I think it will be good for them AND me.. To sit and talk

about how we feel.. compare notes and try to see if we

can help each other.. So the planning is in progress and I

have to say I AM looking forward to it. As big as this

place is.. there will be plenty of room for 3 wheelchairs!

This could be a great fun time... :-) This could turn into a

great party :-)

Well my fun time is going to continue for today out by my

sewing machine.. I have a few things I need to make before

Saturday when its my great grandsons 1st birthday.. I want

to send some things for him.. I don't plan to go to the party,

Kelli is having it at her house, be just too hard ive not been

there before.. I did get some great news from Donnie this

morning.. The house next door to him has been for sale for

a year now and the price has dropped dramatically, I wish
I could buy it.. its on that beautiful lake.. Well he thinks his

parents might buy it and move here ! THAT would be so

great. His parents and I are very good friends. Bill and

Barb.. I'm grateful they share their son with me and don't

get upset when I say hes my son too :-) Lucky kid has 2

moms.. cant get too much better than that I say :-D


Time to post and get something done for today, I'm behind

schedule but oh well.. I'm not punching any time clock.. :-)

I can do what, when, and where, whenever.. AHHHH life is

good.. :-) Hope yours is too ... "G'day, G'day"....
