~Blinds~

Today is going fast! I just looked at the time and I was actually not aware that it was almost two already! I have NOT done one thing this whole day but play on this computer.. not that that is a bad thing..but I wanted to do some sewing today.. and my best and brightest light in the kitchen is morning when the sun shines right into it. Afternoon is pretty bright too here in the living room with the 2 windows on each side of my desk.. It stays nice and bright in here. I love the bright, I keep my curtains open till sundown then I batten the hatches for the night.. batten.. hmmm well LOCK up and close the shades.. :-) I have mini blinds on every window and I kinda like them, but sometimes I call them what they ARENT !!! They take 50 pulls to get them down if you don't hold those 2 strings right :-) and with 8 windows to have to go and close.. and they act up, by the time I get to the 8th one, my arms are sore and SO AM I !! I just wish they had longer rods for opening and Id do that instead of pulling them up.. Well no, I cant do that either.... With Dutch if the blind is down, he doesn't care, he IS getting in the window, and he will knock ANY THING to the floor to get to it and he will claw that blind till he gets the slats apart and crawl his patootiebutt right through my blinds.. I have had to replace them before because he tears them up.. I'm glad they arent that expensive... I have received some nice emails since I wrote about my stumps being different sizes and how did I feel about it.. If you have a question about amputees or are curious about my lifestyle don't hesitate to write and ask me.. I don't mind talking about them or what its like.. I find it a bit fascinating myself.. specially when I can still feel my legs and feet there. I take special notice as to how they feel just about every day, as they change.. and they do.. sometimes for the good and sometimes when those phantoms act up for the bad! When my COA caseworker was here she worked for doctor here in town that she thinks might take me as a patient.. THAT sure would be great to see a REAL doctor for a change, not just a nurse like I do at the clinic.. I plan to call Monday and see what they say, so lets keep our fingers crossed.. Plus hes just down the road a piece... Beverly also told me about all the magic activities they have here for a solid week this summer.. She said the towns people even rent out their spare rooms there are so many magicians in town.. These magicans walk all over and will do tricks and give you some even to try ! The whole town is full of people.. I cant wait for that.. She also relayed that there is a WONDERFUL 4th of July parade here just 2 blocks down the street from me.. I could ride down there in my chair !! :-) Wanna come with me? I could always use an escort :-) Dinner today is left over meat pie.. Penny outdid herself on this one.. I have taught the grasshopper well :-) I was gonna call and brag to the boy about my great meat pie but hes out working today .. its a great day for it.. I just heard a LOUD crash in the kitchen and I need to see what the kid has done NOW ... :-) Post time !! and my GORGEOUS WEEBLE "G'day, G'day"..
