~Sis's Visit ~

I had company yesterday, my sister Shirley and Stanley
came up for a visit.. Stanley, the stinker, forgot his guitar
again, he promised last time he would bring it and play it
for me.. Stan is very musically inclined.. I don't think there
is an instrument he cant play.. Hes taught himself the guitar,
harpsicord, banjo, harmonica and now is studying piano.. I
found out the other day that Dawn, Donnies wife, well soon
ex wife, had a piano over there, in fact its still at Donnies,
hes waiting for her to come and get it.. I told him he can
bring it over here if he wants to.. I would LOVE to have
a piano.. I really would.. I can play one hand and some songs
I can play 2.. I can read music- I should be able to after
playing a clairinette for 6 years- from 7th grade. I had a
keyboard that my next door neighbors mom gave to me
and for some reason it stopped working.. I have NO idea
why but it sure upset me.. I enjoyed plunking around on
that keyboard.. I wish I could get it fixed..

I was VERY good too.. I gave my sister her doily. I told
Shirley that when Penny gave it to me, she said.. "I made
a doily for your sister, for you to give to her, UNLESS,
you want to keep it for yourself!".. well that wasn't any
way to put it to me.. Sure I wanted to keep it.. but I didn't.
Which is ok. I told Penny I DONT have a pin wheel doily
so.. NOW I need one !! Shirley brought a bag full of crochet
thread for Penny which I KNOW she will really be glad to
get. Then Shirley said she forgot the main thread she really
wanted a doily made out of.. So maybe they will come back
up next week.. which would be fine by me !!

She brought some power ranger material..4 different prints!
Tyler will be SO pleased... I cant wait to make a bag for him
and I may even do a quilt. When she was doing her stint of
the craft shows one of her best selling items were tote bags
for kids.. to carry coloring books and crayons.. and the other
bag was for drawing.. the kids could carry these them selves
and the crayons didn't fall out.. Plus made the kids feel more
grown up.. For the boys she got the super heroes material,
like batman and spider man.. power rangers.. the boys loved it.
She sold out of them every time she would put them out..

I told her about the 4 days here where there will be tables
set up down town for vendors to sell things.. Cost is $25.oo a
table.. which is not a bad price at all considering it should be
a great time to sell things with so many people coming to town
from all over the world. They are renting out campsites at
the high school just over there and the shows will be at the
elementary school 3 blocks down the street.. My house is
right in between. If you go to the Colon, MI website its there
about the 4 day festivities.. it lasts more like a week they say,
and thousands of people will be here. So many are into magic
and Mr. Blackstone from what Ive read is very famous among
the magicians.. so .. if YOU come here for the Magic Festival..
be sure to stop by and say HEY! :-)

Penny and I might just put up a table down town for one or 2
of the days.. just to get some extra money.. I could get that
slimline TV I want and soon I fear, will need.. Mine is acting up
really bad.. but well Ive had it 2nd hand for 8 years.. its been
dragged from lots of places and still keeps on ticking.. thank
GOD! I sure cant afford a new one!! Be nice to have a bigger
screen though.. Mine is only a 19 inch.. same as my computer
monitor. so I cant read any thing on the screen of my TV..
which is ok..but I like to see the guide and whats coming on
sometimes, I hate when I miss that DEADLIEST CATCH..
I like that show. If those boat captains knew how bad those
ciggies are they smoke and look at me and what can happen
maybe give them the initiative to quit.. I never hesitate to
remind anyone of that fact.. Specially when Ive gone out to
eat.. I ASK for the smoking section.. just so I can roll through
it and say as LOUDLY as I can to whomever is with me.. "Look
at ALL these smokers.. they sure need to know they will end
up like me if they don't quit!" Ive sure gotten some surprised
looks.. I LOVE IT :-)

Well the boy is due to come by after church today. He phoned
last nite and relayed the story of trying to get Kelli's truck
from work where it stalled out. They had to haul it on the car
carrier they use for the race car. Every Friday nite Donnie is
mechanic for a race car that his buddy has.. this is his summer
fun.. :-) What he had to go through to get Kellis truck to his
garage was hilarious.. well not at the time but, his telling the
story was very funny .. I told him that its just PART of HIS
challenges.. he handles them pretty well.. but he did make the
statement.. that he had to MAKE SURE he went to church
today cuz he sure didn't want another Saturday like yesterday!
And like I say.. Prayer is THE most powerful thing on this planet.
So maybe he will have a better day today.. Well in fact I KNOW
he will- he gets to visit ME and pick up his stuffed cabbage rolls,
and since it was such a ickky day for him maybe I will surprise
him and make him a meat pie or a pasty.. he loves those. :-)

If I'm gonna do that I better get this posted and peel some
tatoes and cut them up and make the boy a pasty.. he deserves
it hes a good kid. So... its time for my GORGEOUS WEEBLE
"Have a nice Sunday!!" :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and thanks !!!
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...
