~Jesse & Jake~

Jesse on the left, gold collar, Jake on the right, red collar..identical
twins, gold eyes, half wolf.

There are babies all over the yard out there. I saw two
baby rabbits. They were so cute. Dutch almost went
nuts when he saw them, running from the door to each
of the windows.. There is a black lab puppy ive seen out
there a few times too.. He has a young owner that is
not very good with dogs.. I watched the boy as he yelled
and grabbed the puppy and lifted and dragged him,
slapping the dog on the face and head till he dragged
him out of site.. They are in the house on the corner. I
sure didn't like seeing that. I almost yelled at him to
stop but he was going too fast....

When I see people or kids mistreat animals it makes me
think that is what they were used to and probly treated
the same way.. You can teach an animal and not by putting
fear into them.. They will eventually hate you and if they
get a chance they WILL turn on you... Ask Willie, he
tried teaching MY German shepherds to obey by being
mean and hitting them.. Didn't work.. Yet they obeyed me
like perfect gentlemen.. Made Willie even madder :-) He
wanted them, Jesse and Jake, were my shepherds names,
identical twins.. to come to him and he was saying it really
mean, YELLING at them, demanding..like he did to most
everyone, people too..

Well Jesse and Jake decided they had enough.. I was
sitting on the back porch watching this KNOWing one of
these days those dogs would get tired of him bossing them
around.. I tried to warn Willie again.. he barked out "COME
HERE NOW !" one more time.. Jesse went one way, Jake
the other and I saw it coming.. They slowly stalked him,
circled Willie and first Jesse advanced, teeth bared, a
deep growl coming from him.. Jake BOLDLY ran up to
Willie barking madly in his face, making Willie back up..
If he hadnt both of those dogs would have attacked and
even though they did mind me, they saw Willie as an
aggressor and me being there, those dogs were not only
protecting them selves but me too..

Willie turned kind of a pale green, said very calmly, "Lois,
call off the dogs". I looked at the dogs and quietly told
them "go lay down all is ok.." they each made one more
aggressive step towards Willie as if to tell him "DONT
DO THAT AGAIN!" and they each came and sat by me.
I kinda smiled and patted each of them assuring them
all was ok. Willie never gave them orders again.. Smart
man :-) I miss not having a dog...

Well, the only dog I'm gonna have today is a hot dog. I
kinda like those ones all ready made up.. theyre pretty
good.. Ive not had a real appetite lately and trying not
to eat as much.. I think ive gained some weight, well I
KNOW I have and that's NOT good.. so I will watch
what and how much I eat for a while and I will go back
down.. I HOPE !! :-)

This GORGEOUS WEEBLE hopes you had a nice week
end, and I will be back !! :-) Aint ya glad? :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and Thanks!
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You", is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

Jesse and Jake were your friend, and they loved you...never right to mistreat anyone animal or human.
Lois going to be off the computer till next weekend ok.
Still trying to get everything ready for the trip and cleaning up a little bit better around here...
I want to make it easy for my sister in law to take care of my pets.
God bless you Lois and keep you safe.

    Hi There,
It was great talking with you Saturday evening. LOL
I have always had the same affinity for dogs I learned that shortly after I had the run in with the neighbours dog when I was little. I would tease it to distraction, that factored with the fact my dear ol Daddy was asleep on the couch and you were at work, (if my memory is still as good as it was.)
Well, I forget the breed but I never took into account that the dog could get in under the fence and the thing bit me straight in the face. From that day on I was never mean to a dog again.
Though I love Timber Sheppards as I think thats what they are referred to, in the military at least, I have always had a soft spot for Siberian Huskies or Malamutes. They are so gorgeous but conniving little gits. My last one Titus was way smarter than most of the family even managed to open a child gate with his mouth, just a grab squeeze, lift and pull and he was where he wasn't supposed to be. He absolutely adored children and him and the little terror would have really put Mum through her paces....bless his furry little soul.
Anyway, I am going to get back to my painting and enjoy the solitude of Mini me's absence (school).
    Take Care xx
    #1 Honeyboy (LOL)
