~Laundry~
When I sit in the doorway I, of course, noticed all
that's going on and I have my binoculars too, so I can
see really well.. They are very old ones that were my
dads. I watch the neighbors and Ive seen a man
over yonder, and he hangs out his laundry. Ive not seen
a lady do it. He has a lot of laundry for one person so
perhaps his wife isnt able to do it. But he does a very
good job. You KNOW there are rules for hanging clothes
on a line. My mom could tell about all the neighbor's
week by what hung out on the line Monday mornings.. Yes,
MONDAY is, well was ALWAYS wash day.
I saw this man take a cloth and wrap it around the line
as he walked first one then the others of the lines wiping
them off, then he proceeded to hang his clothes, I was
very impressed.. but he was, I don't want to say old, but
up in age, so he maybe knew the rules, cuz he hung, hanged,
well put them on the line in the right order AND the right
way.. Heaven forbid, according to my mom, that the clothes
be hung wrong.. OR mixed up.. whites with the colors or
the shirts hung up by the shoulders.. and even so far as to
not hang the socks paired up ! :-)
The Budzaks lived next door to us and many times my mom
would look at her laundry and say "Looks like someone was
sick, lots of extra towels and sheets". Her logic was that
because as she added, "there were no other cars there so
I don't think they had company". :-) I think now they call
it Neighbor Hood watch :-) I envied that man and I looked
around the yard to see a possible place that we could put
up a clothes line and hang some things outside, especially
my bedding.. :-) It could be done, but not with out a prop,
which is just the long stick to hold up a long line so it wont
hit the ground. Laundry has advanced so much .. I had a
wringer washer, my first one.. THAT was a fun job, but
the clothes came cleaner than they do now I think.
I'm thinking too I better get busy, try to get something
done today, Penny overslept so we got a late start and
lots to do yet. And its a rainy gloomy day, good sewing
day though which I might do some this afternoon, Right
now its post time and for this GORGEOUS WEEBLE to
find some lunch ! :-)
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and thanks !

Hello Lois
I wash about everyday here, and it hard to get a full load now without Mike...When he was home 2 load a day most of the time...more with sheet change.
A very nice day here, and I did run the A.C. again for a while.
I love hanging out baby diaper, they smell so good afterward...
But it been years since I hang out clothes on a line...Now I have no clothes line, they been gone for a long time now...they needed to be replace so Bob took them down...Well we do have one end of one left...Bob use it to hang thing on...
I have also seen lighting run down that clothes line too, just about got me too.
God bless you Lois.
