~Meet Travis~ :-)

Meet Travis. Hes taken Theresa's place. Hes been
with CMH for 2 months now. Hes very nice, married,
no children. He stayed for a couple hours and we had
a very nice talk. I was my usual sweet self and you
know me, I tell it like it is.. I told Travis some stories,
especially the one about Richard, the guy that broke
his arms and legs and whined cuz the therapy was too
hard, after an hour with me he perked up.. Travis said
I would make a good motivational speaker. Which I
agree and I sure would do that too.. I don't want to see
anyone end up like me cuz they smoke cigarettes, and
if I can stop just ONE person from losing their legs, I
most certainly would..

This life isnt THAT bad, honestly, its just that its such
a challenge and I think if I didn't have all these other
problems, namely heart, I think I would do a lot more,
be more active and maybe not whine so much.. :-) I don't
really whine whine, but at times when things are going
crappy and I'm not getting my way I throw a tantrum..
:-) no, but I don't spare any words or feelings to relate
to anyone just HOW this life is.. because, you can be
by it but until you LIVE it you have NO idea, I was a
nurse and around disabled, but I had NO idea just what
all is involved both physically and mentally.. and if you
don't have that balanced right it sure can lead to a
not very good life, or one that is more often bad than
good.. and I have to honestly say, mine REALLY is
good more than bad.. But I havent done this on my own
either, If I didn't have the encouragement and TLC
from my friends I couldn't do this either...

Well, the visit was good.. and I'm glad, I told Travis I
desperately need a deck and of course about my stress
over this rent increase, which HE doesn't understand
either....but he said he will check around for wood.. :-)
So maybe THIS will get me a deck.. and maybe he can
get some answers for me on the other issues.. Anyway,
Penny is making us Swedish meatballs today and I havent
had them in YEARS!! Its the easiest recipe for them and
theyre SO good.. and all it is, is ground meat with crushed
FRITOS, the corn chips? the regular ones, mix it with a
tad of onion cut up.. roll into balls, fry them a bit and put
them in a casserole with cream of mushroom (ick) or onion,
soup and bake them in the oven for an hour.. Talk about
good? Well TRY it.. you will be amazed at the flavor the
corn chips put in.. Only takes a snack size bag to one pound
of ground meat.. Some wide noodles on the side, and it is
a great dinner.. :-)

Time to post for today and have some lunch. This GORGEOUS
WEEBLE says "g'day, g'day".. :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and thanks!
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You", is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "Friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again....

    Hello Gorgeous,
I know I've been neglecting you lately - life has been hectic. I'm having some problems with my shoulder and back - and truthfully it's been difficult to use the puter. Well - that's kind of a lame excuse. I need to do better.
All four grandkids (20 months to 8 yrs) will be spending the weekend - so that will be an adventure.

Travis sounds like a good fella! Hope he works out good for you and can get some things done in your favor. I know it's difficult.

Swedish meatballs - yum! Can I have some :).

Ya'all take care now y'heah... I'll try to be in touch more often.

    Bare Hugs,

    Butty
