Amputee life before and after...

~January~

Mr. BlueJay..
The month of January it seems, at least the past
9 years, has been significant and makes me almost
hold my breath until this month is over. January,
I am not real sure of the date, I think about the
15th. I had my first amputation, right below knee,
in 2001. January 2002, is when I escaped the
hell home and moved into the apartment, with the
raging infection in my left stump. In January 2003,
the infection finally healed...I'm not sure what year
my sister, Mary Jane, died on my birthday. Last
year, I carried a lot of drama over from the year
before, just having moved into this place. And of
course the biggie, I am another year older this
month... My dad, gramma 2 aunts and 3 cousins
were all born in January.. My Gramma's is .. was..
the 13th.. My dads.. the 28th... January is a good
month really.. :-) a whole new year of things to
do and get done stuff you carried over from last
year.. which I plan to do.. :-)
I know Ive gotten older these 9 years since all
this amputee stuff started.. I wish I hadnt gained
all the weight I have, when I think of how thin
and skinny I was.. I was even MORE gorgeouser..
The road from then to now, its NOT been easy,
maybe that's why I'm in this chair.. :-) to make
it easier to take this road I'm on.. Rolling might
be the better way to go... If I have to be in this
disabled world.. I can think of a lot worse...so..
this MAY be the easy road.. just a lot of ups
and downs... ridin' is easier than walkin sometimes.
I'm just gonna roll thru this month the best I
can, like I do all the others.. but I will get some
things straightened out.. Like the rent issues
and hopefully I will get help with this medicare
crap.. I know I will on that .. its just a matter of
when... :-) Just remember, my birthday is the
20th.. :-) I am hoping to get TONS of emails,
and cards and phone calls.. :-) ANYHOWAY.....
Subject change :-)
female cardinal
Even with the steady snow the birds are coming
to eat.. I'm kinda glad that post is where it is,
kinda under the tree and moving the birdbath,
its hardly getting any snow in it at all.. All this
snow, the poor little birds have a hard time getting
food.. They know where the bird feeders are...
new kittie... birds came right back...:-)
The blue jay was here, and so was the wood pecker
but I wasn't fast enough cuz I was drinking a cuppa
coffee, as I looked up, there he was, but flew right
off... But the Cardinals were here. The male was in
the bird bath and I spotted the female up on the
post... They love those sun flower seeds... I sure
enjoy these birds and animals...

Speaking of animals, my boy Dutch is sitting right
here in front of me, looking right in my face, then
he walks between me and my keyboard, back and
forth a few times.... KNOWING I will yell at him
to "GET OFF MY DESK!!!"... He is like my online
timer... :-) So, I better post this before this cat
drives me nutz, BUT .. this GORGEOUS WEEBLE
will return! :-)

Always, Lois ****

God Bless You, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

    Hello Lois
So far this year has been real busy for me...hoping that not the way it's going to be all year...But it does look like I'm working for Becky 3 night this week.
You got more snow then we do, and it sure is cold here today.
Yep your birthday is coming up this month and that a good thing to happen.
    God bless you Lois.
    Mary

I love the first day of a snow when the acoustics are different. Sound carries over the smooth snow. The squirrels are predicting a harsh winter - suddenly they have gained weight. I like spicier foods when it is cold. spring is coming. It comes every year.

    Hiya Mary,
I think the month of January kinda sets the pace for the rest of the year :-) lol...Its cold and we have about 4 or 5 inches of snow.. we were spared the worst again..

    Hiya Momar,
I love those big lazy snowflakes that just seem to pour out of the sky...The squirrels are very fat and steady busy.. They like the corn I have outside.. :-)

Good to hear from you! :-)
    Love N'Hugs,
    Lois ****
