~Down the Tubes~

Today started out pretty good then slowly went down the tubes.
I mean I made the biggest messes in the kitchen that I was
glad Rae was coming today because I just flat out got tired of
cleaning up what I did..I dropped towels into the cat water..
drenching it..then when I tried to pick it up I ran over the dish
with the moist cat food in..got that all embedded in my front
tires...had to clean that out.. Then I was making some break
fast..scrambled eggs..and missed pouring the oil into the pan,
dont even ASK how I did that I dont even know..well THAT
went ALL over the counter.. then..when I rolled up to clean up
that I hit the cat water dish..that I had just refilled from the
towel going in it..and it went ALL over the floor.. THEN to top
THAT off while I was backing up my front wheel turned and
hit the bowl of DRY cat food and yup went all over ..I tried to
get that up and of course rolled over some of it smashing
it..making it into tiny crummies that I just cannot get up...*sigh*
I made one HELL of a mess of my kitchen today.. And seemed
the harder I tried NOT to the worse I made it!!!! By the time
Rae got here I was just sitting in the middle of the floor amongst
the water and food all over..Rae looked at me and laughed..I
told her the cats did it..lol...I got some good exercise in today..
let me tell ya lol...

I was asked , yes by Gray, about my quilts that I make.well
made ...I made mainly lap quilts..and baby quilts.. I dont think
I have a picture of one of them though.. I did most of the design
myself as to the pattern of the squares..They were machine
quilted not by hand.. I enjoyed it.. I sold quite a few of them..The
quillows were very popular..they are pillows that turn into quilts
with a pocket to put your feet into to keep them warm..then fold
it back up and keep on the couch or in the car is a nice place
too...Mine werent fancy but were carefully put together by color.
I enjoyed making them..then when the last step to turn them, I
enjoyed watching- as I smoothed it out, what I had made.. Its
like gardening or anything you do with your hands that you
create its so satisfying to see what you have created..I guess
like seeing your child the first time after they are born lolol..
good description...I cut all my own squares and sewed them
together to make designs..of all sorts of colors..

I love old quilts .. I have one on my bed that has to be 150 years
old ...its called a bow tie..its just lovely..there are people here
in this area..well more in Indiana..called Amish..the women can
make some of the most gorgeous handmade quilts you will
EVER lay your eyes on and ALL hand made..quite expensive.
but just gorgeous..There is a little shop in a town called
Shipshewana...all mostly Amish..and the quilt and material
store there...well people like my sister and I go totally NUTS
when we see that much material in one place.. Some of the
most beautiful..and the Amish now- do NOT use electricity
or automobiles.. it is amazing what they can do..they have
some stores too where they sell their butter and cheese
and baked goods.. ohoh Im gonna sit here and make my
self totally hungry If I keep on.. I wonder why we do that? I
seem to talk about food when I start to get hungry , no
matter what Im doing..writing a letter or chatting ..hmmmm

Rae went to the store and go some of those good Fig Newton
strawberry cookies..They are SO good...And yup..she stopped
and picked me up a burger.. I love Burger King Angus Burger..
they to me are really good ..Next to Arbys..lol... See? food again..
I guess its cookie time.. I had the best time watching my 3 favorite
shows last nite.. Prison Break was on..then the Ugly Donald Trump
and then Medium..sadly I didnt make it to the end of Medium tho
I fell asleep... was good to see my 3 favorite shows almost tho. lol

Well cookie time..and I am CAREFULLY going to venture into my
kitchen and CAREFULLY try NOT to spill anything, roll over any
thing OR knock anything over.. wonder if I can do it? lol..well if I
want some of those newtons.. I have to try..so.. you know the
rest.... nitey nite...

Y'all have a good one now Y'hear? LUV YA ... & Thanks!
Always, Lois****

May God Bless you today,
I'm so honored to call you friend,
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

    Hi,
I'm sure that you must have made beautiful quilts and that you still can make them.
    Bom soir,
    Robert

    Dear Lois,
What a mess!!! ;-( Having only one eye, I learnt ALWAYS to put the neck of the bottle on the edge of the dish or whatever, BEFORE pouring. Then I don't get lovely red wine all over the table cloth!!! ;-) or olive oil all over the floor and the work-top. The trick is to remember to do it, EVERY TIME!!!! Forget once and there you are, mopping up again!!
Take care, my dear, lots of love and hugs,
    Raife

What a comedy or errors, though I'm sure that it did not feel funny at all. Hopefully today will be free of mishaps.

Your little quilts sound wonderful. I know that even the small ones require a lot of time and work. Did you follow traditional patterns or make up your own?

We have two hand made quilts. One has a Tree of Life pattern. I hung on the wall and it is admired by everyone.

Like Raife, I am blind in one eye. I am well known for pouring my maple syrup on the table instead of on my my pancake, for missing the edge of the laundry detergent dispenser and getting detergent on the floor, and reliably failing to catch anything that is thrown to me.

I had to laugh too Gray, it was like a comedy...i mean it was unbelieveable how I could go from bad to worse!!!

Some of my quilts were my own design some were the old favorites.. I liked the squares..was fast and easy lol..I dont like the big huge projects then it gets boring lol...

Oh yes.. I dont catch.. throw it into my hand when I hold it out. I have done many many major misjudgements, its not easy to adjust to lol. we all are blind in one eye and cant see out of the other lol...;-) sometimes I feel that way...

As clumsy as I was yesterday maybe I need to change my name to one of the 3 stooges lol..hmm which shall I be?
Moe , Curly or Larry? I Felt like all 3 yesterday lol..it WAS funny..I laughed AFterwards!!! ;-)

    Always, Lois****
