~Sleepin~

I dont know what it is..if my mattress is bad or what, something is
lately the for past what now..? Month? i've been complaining about
my back , butt and tailbone..well hips too... I am sleeping so horribly..
I dont sleep but a few hours at a time..like maybe 3 or 4, then I have
to find a different position..well phooey.. I can only lay on my back or
sit up ! Not alot of choices there, my right side is most uncomfortable
and my left is not doable at all..not in any comfort..I think if I lay on my
back and if I am in any kind of degree well at an angle there is
pressure that is being put on my tail bone, and sometimes it sure does
get sore..lately alot.I have tried a pillow behind my back where I am l
aying more at a slant on my side, and that works sometimes, but not
for long, then I roll onto my back again...

I sleep sometimes sitting up.. and I know you are thinking..sitting up?
lol..yes kinda sorta... I use 4 of my pillows...and stack them in front of
me and then the top one I fold in half and use that one to keep my
head up higher..and just lean forward...With no legs I can fold right in
half and to sit like that is not a problem and in fact quite comfortable.
I have been finding i can sleep longer like that than I can in any
other position. If I could lay on my left side or my right it maybe would
help..but my left side I cant at all because of the bypass that goes down
that side..If I lean just right and you run your hand down my side you
can feel it..its really amazing...That is how they had to do my 2nd
abdominal bypass. So now I cant lay on that side at all really. With my
left stump being longer that puts extra weight on it and it hangs over
the right when I lay that way..and even with a pillow it doesnt work real
well I feel like I am going to topple over well weeble right onto my belly
if I go too far lol...

I dont know but I think the answer is to try to flip the mattress over
Its been on this side since I got it and not flipped at all..so maybe that
would help.. I could get a hospital bed if I want then I could get the over
head puller upper thing-I wish they made them double beds not single-
single beds are just too small. I only have a double bed now but sleeping
side ways its like a king size..well no ..not really I have stuff all overit..6
pillows and 2 woolbies and a quilt for starters lol...Plus 3 cats..yes 3..I
include LB's girlfriend she is up on that bed more than me!!! lol.. :-)

Well talking about that bed..I think I hear it callin me..so even tho it
makes my tailbone sore..its still a good place to be lol...so I am
CAREFULLY going to go out to the kitchen and get a soda and some of
those strawberry newtons..and watch tv..LOST is on tonite and I like
that show.. I did get lost my self a while back I kept falling asleep so I
didnt keep up on it...Well lets hope I dont get LOST on my way to the
kitchen and back and that I dont get attacked by it again :-)
lol...Nitey Nite....

Y'all have a good one now Y'hear? LUV YA !!!! & Thanks :-)
Always, Lois****

May God Bless you today,
I'm so honored to call you friend,
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

I'm sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble sleeping comfortably. I worry about you getting decubitus ulcers by your tailbone. Please be carefull and get help if you have any suspician that is happening. I have to see you uncomfortable.

There are all sorts of special pillows, and I know some are designed to fit between your thighs. Perhaps there is a special pillow combination that would help solve the stump problem.

"If I lean just right and you run your hand down my side you
can feel it." Your use of the word "you" is all too interesting!

Anyway, I really hope that you can get a good night;s sleep this evening.

    See you later. A bientôt.

    Dearest Lois!
I know what your trouble is....You are to few in the bed, cause when it comes to sleeping comfortable the cats cant be counted....Hard but thats a fact!
You need something more steady and heavy, like a man....Hmmm me!
If i were there i would give you the most wonderful massage, and you would not feel any pain no more.... But i am too far away from you, and i cant think of anyone else i dared to let in to your bedroom.... Hmmmm, a little trouble seems to occure here!
Keep sleeping with your boys and that stuffed little girl, its the best... Lets hope you get better in your back instead, cause you have had your lionshare of pain and are not worth a second of uncomfort. I love you tooooo much for that! Smile and try to pass the pain, in your sweet back.

    Dear Lois,
Couple of thoughts. You could probably get one of those inflatable pillows that is shaped like a small life-belt, from your local drug store. Maybe that would take the weight off your tail-bone. I share Gray's concern that you may get a pressure sore there.
The other is that your social services ought to be able to fix you up with some kind of pull handle over your bed.
I don't know if one of these new "memory matresses" that mold themselves to your (beautiful) form would be available to you??
Take care, my dear.Hope you get a good night's sleep to-night. Lots of love and hugs from
    Raife

Hi Rob. You may just be right lol.

I have seen those new matresses on tv and thought the same thing Raife.. Looks like that may be a good solution for me.

I know my butt is sore today, I knew it was gonna be yesterday..and I loaded up with creme on it, not working too good yet. Its a major OWEEEY today.. SUPER sore..:-( *sigh*

I hope y'all are having a good day tho..:-) take care...
