~Cool Stuff~

Since its been so HOT.. I thought I would be a smarty and put some

COOL pictures :-) I was looking thru my albums again and reading

mail and seems everywhere that the heat is just awful.. well cept in

the land down under where there in Australia and New Zealand

they are in winter..and COLD..lol.. but here..well its super hot..and I

have NOT had my AC off for a week.. I got my electric bill yesterday

and I have NOT had the will power to open it.. I will wait till

tomorrow lol..and thing is..when tomorrow gets here its today ..so..lol

tomorrow NEVER is here is it? lol..No I will look I have no choice..Its

auto out of my bank. If I dont with this month being longer I have to

do double duty on the checkbook, make sure it stays straight lol and

with ME.well thats NOT easy to do.They recognize my voice when I

call my bank I call them so often. :-)

The house picture is the one David (ex) and I rented and had

hoped to buy till we decided to move to Green Bay. It was a

lovely house..4 bedrooms up stairs..and 1 down..well more a

den downstairs.. there was a garage the drive way is on the

far side of the house.. the house faces downtown and wasnt

far from there..Those 2 windows upstairs above the front porch

that was my sewing room.directly below was the living room...

the reason we wanted the house.? well was a great one in

excellent condition..and was for sale for only $17.000.oo hardly

anything.. Houses are NOT that expensive up there.. ITs not a

new one..just very well kept..Most of the homes up there are

older ones because of the mines..at one time this little town

was a busy busy place..and just wonderful..You can see it was

a very snowy cold day..and I had to .well no I just did it.. I liked

being out in the snow when the flakes were those big huge

ones that floated like big white butterflies as they poured down

from the sky. was so pretty...

We got a TON of snow that day. as you can see by the car..A couple

feet fell that day I think...well covered the car..lol.. we had a snow

blower that really saved ALOT of shoveling I liked to go out when

the snow was nice and it really wasnt that cold.. I had a great wool

coat..and was quite warm ..I didnt mind sweeping was something to

while I was out there..lol.. David loved that snow blower almost as

much as he did his ice auger for drillin holes in the ice to fish..lol

We had a bad Ice storm..snow and rain..and thought we would

go for a ride..The car was a Plymouth Reliant a 86..and was a

front wheel drive..and VERY good in the snow..as it pulled the

car through it not pushed it.. big difference..next best to have in

the snow next to 4 wheel drive.. This road went around Ottawa

Lake..where we fished all the time..David and I decided to see

if the road was ok..you can see it was..others had travelled

it.. As we were going David sped up..I got nervous..he says..

"hold on and watch this" I turned and looked just as he slammed

on the brakes, the car did a complete turn around and we were

headed back in the direction we had just come from..He did that

SO FAST !!! scared me.!!! I didnt know which way I was going

lol..He laughed thought that was BIG fun..lol.. I asked him when

did he learn that??? lol..he had gotten stuck on a road..going
ICE fishing ..and couldnt turn around..there was just no place or

go off the road..so he did that little number and he thought THAT

was BIG fun..lol..to him ya..I wasnt prepared for that..that car

spun so fast..just ZIP..and we were going in the other direction..

My Dad Loved the winter and summer..he had toys for both, like

most men do..Cept my Dad didnt ice fish..not that I remember

anyway..maybe when he was real young he did.. His main fun

later was his snow plow.He couldnt wait to get out there and

do some plowing.. he would hook that plow up to his jeep and

go and plow all the neighbors driveways..they, needless to say

were VERY grateful.. That is a picture of Dads garage where

he did all his mechanic work.look at the Icicles hanging on the

edge of the roof above and to the right of him. the snow looks

very deep and high..but is really NOT that high.his wood pile

is there you can see some peeking out from the snow..There

was alot though can tell by the ground...I dont know what year

this was taken..but Dad was having a good time and he was

gettin ready to do some plowin, he was always ready to help

someone.. he always said.."Always help someone else..you

never know when YOU may need it yourself"..

My boy is sick today and has me quite worried.. Dutch

has NOT been off the bed at all..hes not played and when he

ate a while ago..bless his little heart he threw up..and slowly

walked back to the bed.. I hate when an animal is sick ..they

cant tell us what is wrong.. Hes so sweet and I am keeping a

very close eye on him..I hate when my boys are ill, he worries

me.. LB is fine..hes here on the desk by me..Dutch is laying

on my mink cape his favorite..I covered him a bit with it , as

he seems a bit cool.. I hate hes Sick!!!! :-( I would gladly take

it from him if I could so he would feel better..Poor baby, I feel

so bad for him and dont really know what to do.. If hes not

better tomorrow I will call Becky she will help she loves him

and has lots of connections ..Vets are so expensive..but if

he has to go I have no doubt Becky would help me with him..

she loves him..he makes SURE she pets him when she is

here.. She thinks hes so cute..a pesteroid..but a good kid..

She has 3 or 4 cats and a dog or 2..Shes a animal lover and

has her own house..so she can have all the pets she wants

lucky dog...:-)

I am gonna check out my COOL fridge and see what is in there.
I havent taken the time to eat today and I guess I will make some

soup..I have some wonderful Green Pea soup made by Progresso

(Italian) and it is THE best canned Pea soup there is ..well that I

have tasted..so thick just like my Gramma Wales used to make for

me when she knew I was comin home.. She would tell my Mom..

"make sure you tell Lois I am making her some Pea Soup" and I

of course would make a Bee Line to Gramma's lol...hers was the

best...and she NEVER had a recipe..I never saw one anywhere

that I ever remember now that I think about it.. :-) So some Pea

Soup for me..and some lovin for my sick boy, and LB and time

for some TV... We all say..stay COOL..and Nitey nite :-)
