~Enjoy Life~

This morning there was a comment that its all about enjoying life..That
IS true you know..We all have such different ways of enjoying it, and
what appeals to some, doesnt to others. Which is really a good thing,
because then there would only be certain things to do. I bet everyone
would get bored to tears. There have been places Ive lived that I think
would appeal to everyone.No matter what you liked to do indoors or out
or even at home. And there are not alot of places like that..

I lived in Green Bay, Wisconsin, I LOVE that town..It is THE

cleanest, easiest to navigate and SO MANY things to do..ALL

year round. Only time that town was really not a good time to

navigate..was game day..When the Packers played at home. I

made the mistake of going to the store on one of those days, Once.
The town..well that is THEIR TEAM....If you werent a Packer

Backer..well I dont think it would be very long before you would

be. I love that team, and so does that whole town. And you know?

I lived there 3 yrs, and NEVER went to see a LIVE game..lol I

didnt.. NOPE .. the TRAFFIC..naa - I could stay home with all my

treats, a favorite chair and see perfectly and NOT fight all the

cars, no lines to go to the potty, nope..I watched from home..I could

stand out by the apt.and see the stadium. I went there when there

wasn't game, the team was practicing..that was fun. The kids wait

with their bikes and they give them to the players to ride back from

practice on, was cute, the boys loved to say a Packer rode their bike...

Green Bay is on Lake Michigan, right at the mouth of the Fox River,

huge river..there is a park there and that is a good river to fish from

almost anywhere along it.. We loved Voyager Park..THAT was a

great site..In DePere, there was even a dam sort of lock that the

boats had to go thru, the water was raised and lowered.. Last time

we were there someone realized what a great spot that was and

built some apartments there.Great fishing tho all along that river bank

and especially there at the Park, it was a nice place. David and I, and

friend of ours Larry, always fished there.It always had people there,

but it was so big, you werent right next to someone. well unless you

fished that channel that fed into that lock..now THAT WAS a good spot.

There were little pavillions for parties, bathrooms, tables..nice park.

My ex David is the one in the white pants..His fishing rod is propped

up there and hes probably calling the FISH LOL... :-)

The apartment we had there I could easily get to even in this chair.It

was on the ground floor and easy in and out..They were nice too.
I had thought about that the other day. I have some great friends

that still live there..In fact it was their wedding picture of their

daughter last nite.. I went to a Pow Wow..and talk about interesting..

If you have never been to one..they are amazing to watch-so many
different tribes all gathered in full dress, the women with their shawls
and the dresses with all these silver bells hanging that would jingle as
they danced around in them..all the bells were silver..see on the right?
the tiny little kids all decked out..was wonderful. ALL accessible too,
now that I think about it..was held in a huge field..and they all danced
around the center where the drums were.Great time and amazing
to see if you have never experienced something like it. Its wonderful

Want a nice vacation..go to Green Bay, then make that drive up the

thumb there..when you get to the end..you will start down a long

hill and be able to see the lake..its like a picture on a post card..IT

is just beautiful And whats great? Its beautiful any time of the year.

Lots of people from Chicago travel for week ends up there its so

great..lots of quaint shops and small villages. The drive in the fall when

all the leaves change is awesome.. Its kinda hilly so I dont know about

winter..we never did go all the way up there then..David was too busy

ICE FISHING. What we loved about that town was the casino and the

fact that most of the convenience stores had slot machines.David was

steady getting gas just so he could play..The casino is right across from

the airport, Oneida and I HAVE been there TALK about a great time.!.

I think about am I enjoying life NOW.?. I guess I am.. I am doing what
I want.. I do wish I was in a better location..and who's to say that wont

change ? Never know..Donnie may break down and let me rent his base

ment. he has 3 rooms down there, and hes on the lake too. :-) I have a

nice apartment..and food, a computer, and lots of friends. So I think

I really AM enjoying life.. maybe am not totally enjoying it perhaps but

I think its when the financial issues come up or things here just get

to me when its so hard to do stuff out in the kitchen, specially when I

get discouraged at being in this chair..but all in all...I dont know..Some

days I think it could be SO much better..but then again, I think. THIS
isnt so bad...I am happy..so. I AM enjoying my life, perhaps some days
more than others..but then thats the same for everyone.
Things COULD be SO much worse..

Right now..lol..Im gonna enjoy a nice piece of pound cake..The boys

Love that stuff..We share..I bring in extra for them..Its one of the few

people food LB will eat.Hes not like Dutch. he HAS to taste everything.

Raelynn was here and we are all squeaky, Dutch missed her and truth

known I think she missed him..he makes her feel shes just the best play

friend hes got gives her a hard time but she loves it.LB ? he just lays on

my desk and when she comes in here will just barely open his eyes as if

to say "oh..your back" lol no real effort..hes such a Garfield..lol...Kids..

they say Nitey Nite too :-)
