~3 Valuables~

Do you know it is over a year since I started writing this blog?
Now is that something or what? I wouldnt have missed those 3
half weeks had not all that crap happened.. I am so glad that is
over.. I cant help but think about it.. and when I do..all I can say
that I really felt was so bloody alone, I just laid there in that bed
and sobbed..not knowing where to go or what to do..Things can
go so badly so fast and it seems its like a domino effect, one
thing that hits another that hits another..and when you dont have
any bloomin FEET to stop that downhill slide, well..its sometimes
a LOT faster ride DOWN that hill you know? :-)

I know everything happens for a reason.. seems when I think about
that little 5 word phrase, I am told that at every happy or sad thing
that is happening..even back there at the shelter..that perhaps I
was meant to be there ..and I guess that could be true..although
right now I can only think of one reason I was there ..to point out
all the flaws there are.. I, myself..wont , cant and dont expect to put
myself in someone elses shoes. I often thought back there at that
shelter ..I wonder how many that were on the board were working
there really ever were homeless?... Like on the Comission on
Aging...how many on the board or working there REALLY needed
the services and could honestly say..they KNEW..Not too very many
I dont think.. And what the main thing they use to keep control..its
intimidation..scare tatics so to speak.. tow the line or you are out..
complain..you will get NO services.. All really about the same.. Yet..
I am glad there are these organizations and shelters..yes.. but I do
honestly think some do need desperately to be revised..The
shelter was a new building but very poorly designed...to serve the
purpose it did.. They sure need to get their ramps fixed I know that.

Well the photo up top is of 2 of my favorite people you hear me
mention almost daily besides Raelynn.. Its Dawn and Donnie.. Its
their wedding photo taken 2 years ago..They just had their anniv.
on monday last.. They are so cute together and do really good..They
make a great pair..the next is of Raelynn. Dutch tore the curtain down
after Dawn put it up last nite. she was kind enough to let me take her
picture.. I had the camera on since It was snowing today and I was
trying to get a picture of it..wasnt snowing hard enough...So you got
a photo of Dawn and Donnie and Raelynn.. Now you know what they
look like... 3 of my very valuable friends...

Time to log off this machine and see what is on the tv..I am hoping
to get my bedroom moved around so I can get my bed away from
the heat vent.. sure makes it hot.. If I move the bed to the other side
of the room it will give me more open wall.. the bed will be between
the 2 windows.. I think it will work out ok, and my bedroom will be
ok..I already have in my head how the living room will look and I do
think it will look really nice..depending on the floor too...Well time to
finish this day and eat a doughnut and finish my ice tea..Nitey Nite..

Y'all have a good one now Y'hear? luv ya and Thanks! :-)
Always, Lois ****
God Bless you is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe
until I write again..

Nice pictures you took again. I was wondering if one of your boys was going to bring down the curtain. Cat sure love playing with thing they should leave along.
It was nice seeing your friends, you are blessed to have so many.
So you got some snow, how much? I hope we don't have it for a while. We get mostly in Jan or Feb for it to add up. It has been cold here for the most part. Trying to get the house ready for winter, and needing to finsh getting Pam home ready for winter too.
When you can send us some snow pictures...Mary

    My Dear Lois,
Those are real nice pictures of some real nice folks. Donnie is a big guy, isn't he? It is great that you have these folks as friends. It's at times like the ones you have been through that you find out who your real friends are. I must say that the services for di-advantaged people over there seem a bit Victorian! Your recent treatment sounded like something straight out of Charles Dickens.
I am SO glad that things seem to be settling back onto an even keel for you at last - you deserve nothing less. I said a great big thank you to the Good Lord, last night in my prayers. He must be fed up with me asking Him to help my fav. Weeble!! LOL.
Take care, Hon. Lets hope it will be plain sailing from here on in. Lots of love and great big hugs from
    Raife
