~My 800th Post~ :-)

The first day of a whole new year ahead, I wonder what things
will fill mine.. I awoke at 3 am this morning to the TV on and the
boys sound asleep at my sides.. I laid there for a moment and
did my usual body scan of how I felt..and I felt good..I was warm,
I have no idea what time I fell asleep as I don't remember too much
past my favorite show, Two and Half Men. and then I don't think I
saw all Of it..its done at 8. I think I was dozing off and on cuz I know
I went in there about 6 or so..I either didn't watch too much or im
having a CRAFT moment..and don't remember... Either way I woke
up to what the weatherman said we were going to get..We have
OVER a foot of snow outside. and its been snowing most of the day.
This is my 800th post on this blog in 2 years..Ive done pretty good.
I havent missed too many days..and I hope I can keep this going for
another 1000 or so would be nice, if I dont run out of stuff to write, But
I have enjoyed this, and to get all the nice comments and KNOW its
being read, well..just makes me feel really good and I am grateful..
I think of this blog as writing letters to family and friends that care
about me and that's why I guess it means so much to read all those
nice things being said..thanks..thanks ...thanks :-)
I was in the kitchen making myself some breakfast when I happened
to look out the back window..and TWO of the brown squirrels were
just digging at the snow..There is bread under there, Penny put a lot
out yesterday.. I HAVE to think of something to put out there so the
snow wont pile up over the food for the squirrels and the birds.. They
need help finding food in the winter and I enjoy watching them , but
I just don't know what to put out there to make a place for them to eat
that wont get snow covered.. I had thought about just putting a box
or something to get it off the ground, but unless its got a cover it
will still get snow on it.. The 2 squirrels would eat a little and run up the
fence post, sit there and look at me then run back down..Was fun
to watch them...
I can sit and enjoy the beauty of this snow but I do feel for those that
have NO choice but to be out in it..driving today had to have been
really hard.. I can just imagine the news reports tonite ..So many on
the roads and this crap is coming at us from 2 directions.. from the
north, and from the west, its coming straight across that lake and we
are getting it this time..we have been lucky..I guess its really our turn.
Ive driven, walked, worked and played in these nice big flakey snow
falls so I can say that I do know what those out in it are going thru..I
have to say that is one of my blessings.. I don't have to anymore ..well
unless I want to...which I don't...:-)
Isnt that just cute? look at the snow on his little face. He was diggin,
stopped, made a B-line up that post and sat and just looked at me
as if to say "YOU come out here in this! you'd have snow on you
too!"..
You see the two of them..They didn't stay out there long..But they
knew that bread was under that snow and they got a lot of it.. I
wonder if I made a place in the garage..maybe an old table.. I
wonder tho if the birds would go to it..The squirrels..they go any
where they think they can..
I stuck my head out the front door long enough to take this photo.
Look how deep on that railing out there and you see the road is
covered again.. The plows have steady been going and right
now the roads arent too bad.. I saw the man across the street
using his snow blower on the side walks..and well as windy as it
is and the snow still coming down.. I guess he was just keeping
an edge on it..Getting a head start..
Well my next start is to my bedroom to get out of this chair.. I ve
been in it long enough for one day and I am tired..Ive had the chills
all day and the cough is still there, so I hope its nothing..Penny
hopefully will be here tomorrow, depending on the roads of course.
Her little car and she lives out in the county where its the last to be
plowed..I doubt if there will be school..maybe if we don't get the rest
of what they said we will and they can keep the roads Open.. I even
saw a sno mobile going down the road out there today, so I KNOW
what the boy is doin.. Hes ridin.. Tomorrow is back to work day for
most and with this weather ..well you don't go after a holiday you lose
the holiday pay...Our girl is better, I talked to Dawn this morning when
I called to wish them Happy New Year..They had babysat the 3 grands
last nite and had to take them home some time today..They have 4
wheel drive so I don't worry but I don't like the idea of Dawn on the
road with 3 little ones.. Cameron is only 3 and Kirstin is 2 and then
the baby is only 6 months..so she shouldn't be on bad roads with
3 little ones by herself so Im sure Donnie will go along..

Im going, going, and gone, this GORGEOUS WEEBLE just had the
busiest day taking photos..and those are not even NEAR to all I took..
I had a hard time deciding which to put here :-) But Im putting me to
bed and saying "Nitey Nite" :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and THANKS :-)
Always, Lois ****

Wow! All that snow - we get very little here in the UK but I see that we may have some on Thursday.
I spoke to my cousin in Adelaide, South Australia early this morning to wish him and his wife a happy new year. He said it was 42c which is 108f - now that's hot, hot, hot.
Today I have been to the sea,it was grey and misty but the fresh air blew away the Christmas cobwebs in my head.
Back to normal tomorrow - I have a physio appointment :( but also a trip to the hairdresser.
Keep warm - and I just love the squirrel - what a sweetie.

Exactly my dear little Lois, you have understand it perfectly!
For me you are FAMILY and FRIEND in the same little person.....
What you write means more than gold to me, cause it draws me nearer to your life, and by doing that also nearer to you.
Cause what you do, and how you feel is a great part of my life nowadays. You have become a drug for me. A drug with now low sides at all, just the great thing that it makes me want more and more and even more of it for each day.
    Take usual care and KAO´s 2 u
