~No Event Day~ :-)

Today was an uneventful day.. I did sleep late..until 7:30, I was
surprised..but I have been trying to stay up later at night.. but I
doze off as soon as I get on the bed and turn the TV on.. I only
see bits and parts of stuff.. I started watching my favorite show,
three and half men, and then I realized I wasn't watching the same
episode..its on for an hour, so I had to have dozed off.. I was so
glad I had stayed up to watch Medium..I like that one too..well..
I didn't see the end of it.!. Ive lost track of that show too..now she
is being treated badly..I miss alot..just call me a SNOOZY
GORGEOUS WEEBLE.. :-) I have good intentions when I go in
there to knit..or watch TV.. I still havent finished that dish cloth I
started, what, about a month ago now.. I used to could make one
in a few hours.. that was good English..used to could:? :-) ok..
at one time- I was able to knit very fast-there- that's better :-)

Sun is out today too..no rain..no snow..but cold again..and rain
for tomorrow..THEN we are back to snow.. and more cold.. The
joys of Michigan... I can tell its colder when that door opens.. I
sure wish that plastic was out there..maybe if I just don't mention
it at all ..someone will pick up on it and wonder if its been done,
and ask me, then they might offer to come and do it.. The rate Im
going I wont have it put up till summer !..which,if that's the only time
I can..fine.. I don't sit out there anyway..I cant.. not the way that ramp
is..if I went off the side .. I could be in trouble.. I think it would save
a lot on my heat bill tho.. I havent gotten it yet..but I KNOW its going
to be up there..We got a 14.oo a month raise for our SSI ..so guess
what it will be put towards...for me, my gas bill.. I have been keeping
my thermostat on 62.. which is cool..but I can put on a sweater.. and
I have my mink cape right here if I get super cold..I love that thing..

My ex father in law, I guess you could say, Jim..he was my husbands
mothers significant other so to speak..very nice, generous man..he
treated all of us like we were his kids..he did drink a bit too much,
but..well he did it at home..he had a little table he sat at and would
look outside.. His mother, I think, passed away, and he got this
mink cape and brought it back and gave it to me.. I would have
thought my mother in law would have wanted it..and I asked about
that..but he said.."I told her it was for you and my mother would have
wanted you to have it..your such a nice dresser upper"..He went on
to tell me how she loved to look nice, and dress up..and that he knew
I was the same way that he thought I would enjoy having it.. I know I
did NOT hesitate thanking him ALOT for this beautiful mink, it has
kept my shoulders AND my stumps very warm.. Its perfect for over
my stumps.. The shape of it. it works great...

Penny came today and she made a great loaf of pumpkin bread
for me.. a mix..but its very good.. We were going to make saffron
bread.. why do I say we? PENNY was going to dig out the bread
maker and I saw all the stuff she would have to move to get it out..
and I told her to just make the other bread in the microwave oven.
She wouldn't mind moving all the stuff on it.. but I would have to
move all that stuff to put that breadmaker away or have it sit on
my table till Friday when she came and did it.. so ..no... we decided
to make the other.. All the extra work involved well.. It can wait..I
didn't feel like fighting to get all that put back, I just need to get
more organized and not have stuff all over.. There is just NO cup
board space here that I can reach that is.. The one in the hallway
by the bathroom I cant reach the shelves..only the bottom one..
then not the back of it.. I have a metal cabinet I keep in the bathroom
since its so huge that has my canned stuff in it.. Only place I could
put it I was glad I had that thing.. The cupboards above the sink in
the kitchen I cant reach the door handles let alone open them OR
get anything OUT of them.. Joys of being short..

Well I can reach that pumpkin bread and I am going to go and have
a nice piece of it..warm it a bit..get some of the good REAL butter,
and a nice cup of earl gray tea.. I bet I will just make it onto the bed
after that delicious snack.. Ahhh Life is good.. "Nitey Nite"

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear..Love ya, and Thanks ! :-)
Always, Lois ****

God Bless you, is my prayer today,
I'm so honored to call you "friend";
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again.....

    Hello Lois
It was a little cool today, but had to do a lot of running for Patsy today. She sure wanting her shoulder to work better so she can drive herself, she is hoping by the 16 the doctor would let her drive. but how her shoulder is doing she know it still a big problem for her.
The people across the street have went to wood stove for heating, now I have a hard time breathing when the wind is from the South...
I don't know what I can do, either they need to move or me. I have lived here for 35 years, they been here a year. Or I need a big fan to blow the smoke there way.

There is know use to tell them, they are just trying to stay warm and save money.
It make me want to cry, what can be done.

Yes being in a wheelchair is very hard to reach thing and you can't even climb on anything either. And it so hard to get anyone to help you out.
Lois you are doing a wonderful job there living by yourself...and I love coming here reading your blog.
    God bless you.
    Mary

My fantasy is a day where I do almost nothing but eat and stay in bed and listen to the radio all day. I hope someday to buy a bread machine at a stoop sale. I like to take soft bread and microwave it so it is even softer.
