~Sad, Happy Day~

Today is a sad memory day but turned out to be a good day

anyway... When I opened my eyes this morning, I looked at

the time, which I do every time I open my eyes.. and it was

4:30 am.. I laid there for a few minutes thinking back to 8

years ago and what did I really remember.... I noticed I still

remember and can almost feel my emotions of that morning

still 8 years later... I was not happy 8 years ago, and at 4:30

back then I remember sobbing horribly and begging them

not to make me go.. I had no choice then either, I HAD to go.
Ruth was my nurse back then, she worked at the hell home

before she came to work for me. It was her job that day

to get me ready to go.. I remember she wanted to comb my

hair and I pushed her hand away and told her to stop. She

gently continued on and told me "Lois, you KNOW how you

always want to look your best, this is no different". She

sat with me by the door while I waited for the van to come

and get me and take me.. While I sat there I cried saying

over and over "I don't want to go". Then the driver came

in, and pushed my chair outside and up the ramp and parked

my chair putting on the tie downs.. The ride to the hospital,

I just sat there, silently crying, looking at the dark outside,

the driver didn't talk to me, That ride that morning

even today seemed to take forever...That's when life as I

knew it stopped and I entered this new world..
This one isnt that bad, theres bad in everyones world, the

way things are now. :-) I did have a nice surprise, today.

My phone rang about 9:30 and it was the boy, saying "Gran,

I'm on my way over, I love you, bye". :-) short and sweet

and to the point :-) He showed up about 45 minutes later..

Its 65 miles for him, round trip to come here from his house.

That's kind of a long drive and I sure appreciate when he

does come over... He plowed and you see the photo with the

icles... He said they are all around the house from the roof

almost to the ground, he said that means heat is escaping,

and to notice other houses don't have that.. I need to mention

that to Joe..This place isnt that old from what he said...
But with the help of Jerky he plowed and shoveled.. When he

pulled in the driveway I looked out the window and Jerky was

sitting in the passenger seat.. His head was the same height

as Donnies and looked just like a person sitting there, I had

to laugh... Jerky LOVES the snow, he got out of the jeep and

took off just having a good time in it.. Donnie brought my mail

in and I was so glad, there were birthday cards out there

and I was anxious to see them :-) From what I gather Donnie

has gotten custody of the dog and cat. The boy isnt very

happy, but like he knows, time stops for no one and keeps on

moving, I told him to just do a day at a time and don't worry

about tomorrow, and when its here, deal with it then when

you can face it head on and do what needs done. He will be

fine.. I gave him some meat and a few things he likes and

he was headed home to cook.
I made a wonderful beef roast with onions and potatoes and

offered to share but he was anxious to get back to his house.

Dawn was due to come by this afternoon. I phoned Penny to

see how she was but she was gone so I am guessing she is

over the flu or what ever it was.. I called her sister to find

out for sure that she wasn't in hospital or something and she

said she talked to her yesterday and she was ok.. Kathy said

she thought she may come by here today, but she hasnt called

so I doubt that she is... I can wait till tomorrow now anyway, I

was mainly worried about the mail.. and I got that . I just hope

she makes it tomorrow the boys need treats.. They have been

so whiney and crabby and Dutch gets mean.. you see the photo

of that bad boy biting my hand.. I didn't take a photo of ME

biting him BACK~!! no, just kidding.. but he was just playing..

he wasn't serious.. mean lookin teeth hey? he CAN bite !! :-)
Well I'm gonna go and have some of my roast and watch a

DVD movie a friend sent to me, "A River Runs Through It",

great movie.. I am gonna watch that and just sit and relax

then off to watch TV, I have to watch dvds on my computer,

I don't have a DVD player. I don't have a VCR either, but

I couldn't reach them anyway.. Time to post and have lunch,

this GORGEOUS WEEBLE wishes you a "g'day, g'day".. :-)
