~Always A Way~

Today I worked on the blue lace curtains for the kitchen.
Lace is such a buggar to sew.. I bet I called it everything
BUT lace, let alone curtains :-) I KNOW it snagged on that
foot a dozen times.. I finally stopped and sat and tried to
figure out a better way to do this so I don't get all bent
otta shape when this stuff aggravates me :-) AND.. of course,
I did.. I'm going to sew a strip of the material that I used
on the bench for the rod pocket.. be easier than fighting this
lace, plus it wont be seen anyway cuz the rod itself is white
and that's what will show thru the lace :-) It will work.. :-)
There is always a way :-)

I had a minute of stupid however, it happens off and on you
know... I wanted to see the valance I made- up.. see what it
would really look like.. So I decided the only window I could
get close to was the door.. so I pull up next to it and go to
put the curtain up over top of the one already there.. 99%
of the time I remember to SHUT OFF MY CHAIR... well ,
duh.. this time, like I said I had a moment of stupid.. I
reached up as high as I could, and when I was sitting back
down, my arm hit the joystick, my chair went back so fast,
I fell forward, luckily against the door...I took my arm off
the joy stick as fast as I could but I still went back just
enough so I had plenty of room to smack my face against
the door.. That was fun... I didn't hurt anything, but I sure
could have.. but it did look nice up there :-) almost knocked
myself out to see it, but.. I did it :-)

I just have NO patience when it comes to not being able to
do something.. being this short is such a drawback and just
drives me nuts because of the things I cant reach.. I watch
that show on the learning channel called little people, big
world.. its about little people.. who are short as well.. but they
have the same challenges I do being short.. only difference
is they do have the legs to climb to what ever they need to
get to.. where I don't.. but I bet they feel the same frustration
as I do sometimes.. What my problem is, I hate to realize
that there actually is something I CANT do! That is just so
NOT easy to accept! specially when you remember just what
you could do...

I just work around it and find a way to compensate for what
I cant reach.. Mainly I just wait for Penny or someone to come
by.. The hardest part is waiting for someone else to help me.
I'm one of those that want things done yesterday...I hate to
wait.. I remember when Kelli and I had to wait for Willie one
day to give an estimate. She was in the back seat and she was
mad.. She kept grumbling and whining, and finally she crosses
her arms in front of her and loudly proclaims.. "GRAN! I HATE
TO WAIT !! ".. she was only 3.. If she only knew that is how
everyone spends most of their time- waiting-.. lights, grocery
lines, on hold on the phone.. :-) If she knew how many MORE
times she would be waiting .. :-)

Time for me to fix my superbowl lunch.. I'm going to watch the
game today I don't even know what time its on.. I'm mainly
gonna watch it for the commercials.. I saw where they said
each one that's aired during the game cost over a million dollars
to buy the air time... I do hope the Steelers win, Mark is a
dedicated fan.. Me, I'm a Packer Backer.. but I like the Steelers
too since I lived in PA for a long time... What I'm gonna have
for lunch I don't know, maybe since its a special day I might
fix my very best favorite ... :-) fries N' gravy :-) So... that
means, time to post this and of course send my GORGEOUS
WEEBLE "G'day, G'day".. :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya, and thanks...
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You", is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again...

    Hi, Honey,
SO glad you didn't hurt yourself!
Sewing lace - could you put a strip of tough tissue paper along the stitch line? You could see your seam through it, but the lace wouldn't pick up. Then, when you finished, you could tear the tissue off.
When I sew kite covers in rip-stop nylon, I cheat by sticking the hems down with double-sided sellotape and then sewing them. If I don't, the hems slip all over the place!!1 I'm that useless with a sewing machine!!!!
    Take care, Honey,
    Luv Ya,
    Raife
