~I Got Gas~ the bill ! :-)

I got my gas bill yesterday and I have been waiting for

it just to see if its gone down any since all my windows

are now closed.. And,,,, it did.. $30.oo.!. But ! today I got

my electric bill.. it went UP $20.oo... so I am NOT ahead

at all...See what I mean? So, why did my electric go up?
I looked on the bill and it said EST. which means that

the meter was NOT read, but estimated.. THAT makes

me so mad when they do that.. My meter is readable and

its been read, I saw the footprints in the snow to read

it.. Plus, since theyre going to estimate it, why do they

'ASSUME' I have used more electricity? No matter what,

when I get a break on one thing, its taken away somewhere

else. I did phone the electric company and I POLITELY

told them to PLEASE NOT estimate my bill.. that IF for

some reason they cannot get out there that I will read my

own meter.. Estimated readings they never even out.. So..

my gas and electric are still just as high this month as

they were last month.. I cant win, I even turned down the

thermostat.. Its on 66.. which when I read the temp out

side is below zero, it is NOT very warm in here.. but I

cant turn it up..or next month it will be even higher..

Penny came today and so did Rebecca...We got a lot done

and hopefully by Friday I will have my packages ready to

mail.. Rebecca brought me a bag of pillows that are just

great.. I did share with Penny and gave her 3 of them.

The rest are on my bed.. :-) They were made at a sewing

place that I am guessing makes drapes and bedding for

mobile homes and RV's... I would like to go there and see

if they sell their scrap material.. that's how I got a lot

of mine.. These sewing places if you call and ask most sell

their leftovers very cheap and its all good quality fabric.

Some cotton prints and some places have quilted too.. I

used that for a lot of the things I made...When you can get

supplies for free that's when what you sell is all clear

profit.. THATS how you make a lot of money.. :-)

The boy called and hes much better, he had a nice relaxing

week end, which he really needed.. Just way too much going

on for him that is nothing but pure stress and he, well any

one, they don't need all this stress.. Hopefully things will

even out, specially once he knows his job is secure.. Ive

seen so much on TV with all the people laid off. Michigan

is one of the worst...Our Gov was on TV last nite and I

didn't want to hear it.. All this is so depressing, I wish I

could do something, but.. well us, short people arent heard

very well :-)

I have some curtains to make that I had hoped to have done

by today and I didn't, so I want them done by Friday so

Penny can put them up.. Its hard to do especially since I cant

see one of them up till she gets here.. I don't know if I

want just a valance or curtains the whole length.. decisions,

decisions.. but I love it.. I am having the best time..I sure

am enjoying sewing again.. Rebecca tried on the slipper socks.

she wants a pair :-) Time to post this then get something

done before I lose what energy I have left..This GORGEOUS
