~Lots Done~
We got a lot done today... Even hung the blue lace curtain I
made up.. I told Penny about the 'stupid' I did and she
laffs at me because she knows I have no patience and HAVE
to have things 'just right'... she said "See? you KNOW to wait
for me". I try to.. but.. well I get antsy and want to see stuff
right :-) She put all the stuff I got out of the gold cabinet
up in the other cupboards too.. When she walked in the door,
looked around and her first words were "WOW, have YOU
been busy". And I had been.. but Its not fair to leave every
thing to her to do when I can still do a lot.. Whos to say, farther
down the road I may need her to do more, which I know she
would..but she does a lot of extras that are NOT in her job
description.. and one of those is shoveling snow, but she does
it.. which I am most grateful.. COA will start to send their guy
after the next snow storm and she wont have to do it.. The
guy Joe sends to plow only does the driveway, no shoveling.
I hear the UK got snow and the whole place just went nutz.
They just don't know how to handle lots of snow. Plus they
They just don't know how to handle lots of snow. Plus they
drive backwards over there on the wrong side of the streets
so I can just imagine how bad it is over there. I know the
first year I got to Houston it snowed and the people just
stood around staring at it falling from the sky like they
had never seen anything like it.. 99% of them drove like
there was no snow and there were so many wrecks that
the police couldn't keep up and I bet its the same in the
UK.. Raife, just be careful ifn you go out, we don't want
you doin any snow angels by force :-) Those kind hurt :-)
I watched the super bowl last nite- WOW, what a game. I
yelled so loud a few times it scared the boys and they took
off running.. It was a great game... Not a dull moment in it..
and the last 2 minutes of the game were the best of the whole
game almost.. That Holmes guy, caught that ball in the last 49
seconds, made that touchdown, I thought sure the Steelers
had lost that game.... I heard on a news story before the
game that the head school guy said all the Pittsburgh schools
would be on a 2 hour delay because of everyone watching the
game and would be up late..celebrating.. I wonder how they
knew they were gonna win? :-) I don't think they did but it
was such a suspenseful game you had to watch it all :-) I
used to be a Steeler fan when I lived in PA, but I have
always been a Packer Backer, now THATS my team :-)
And Green Bay is one of THE best towns anywhere...
My big boy, LB is sick. Hes been throwing up for 2 days.
I don't know whats wrong with him.. Plus he is so crabby,
which if you don't feel good its understandable.. But he
was laying on my bed while I was watching the game, and
every few minutes I would reach over to pet him.. Every
time I did he slapped my hand away, his ears would go
back and he almost growled.. NOW, if there is ONE thing
that boy does NOT want to do is growl at ME of all people!
I pulled my hand away and politely told that cat he had
better think twice before he slaps me again, I will slap
back and HE wont like it any more than I DID ! I was
surprised he was in that bad a mood.. He and Dutch have
been steady fighting and I was really worried about
Dutch a while ago, LB slapped and bit him , Dutch yelled
and I THOUGHT I saw blood.. which thankfully I didn't,
but for them to fight this bad, they never have before,
so I'm hoping once LB gets to feeling better these 2 can
make up and be friends again... :-) I hate when kids fight.
Its time to go and work on my curtains, I want to have the
other 4 pair made by Wednesday, plus I have some slipper
socks to make.. I have decided on that bench to add a
skirt to it.. it will be really cute.. I will take a photo of
course.. Mary, Wednesday your slipper socks will be in the
mail to you, I know you will like them.. :-) Raife, got a snow
shovel honey? :-)
Time to close this and get something done, but you KNOW
I cant close this till I say my GORGEOUS WEEBLE "g'day,
g'day" :-)
Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and THANKS!
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,

Hi, Honey,
No, YOU guys drive on the wrong side of the road. That's why you get all those twisters in the summer - you go round roundabouts at intersections anti-clockwise and that sets the twisters going! You don't find twisters over here!!
Don't go overdoing it, now, will you? Let Penny take some of the strain!
I'll be careful to-morrow. We will be taking an alternative route where there is likely to be less ice. I've quite a bit of experience driving in snow and on ice. I know to leave at least TEN TIMES the normal braking distance between me and the guy in front - yes, that's right, folks, TEN TIMES at least. Cadence braking and use the grit in the gutter to help you stop. I instinctively steer into the skid if she starts to go, always have. But I'll take care.
You take care, too, Honey,
Luv Ya,
Raife

Hello Lois
My shoe size is 8, if that help.
Thank you Lois...
I,m not into the games, my son Michael is.
Sure hope LB starts feeling better.
Anything crabby not much fun of being around. And you sure don't need to be bit or scratch either.
I'm wanting to make some curtains for my bedroom and Living room...I get it done one of these days.
God bless you Lois.

Hi, Honey,
Had another 2" of snow this morning. Fresh packed snow on the 1in6 hill out of the village. Little Subaru "Justy" took it in 1st gear like a lamb - no slip at all. Had a very good run down to Dulverton - no skids or any other excitement, except some moron who insisted in driving right on my fender. I pulled over and let him pass. So, I'm back safe and sound and it is thawing fast.
Take care, Honey,
Luv Ya,
Raife

Hey Gorgeous,
You have been one busy gorgeous lady - that's fer sure. And I think you are enjoying every minute of it - that's great!
Getting some snow here today - 2-4" they say. People here are better than in London, but a lot don't know how to drive in it. I used to live in Erie, PA - there if it's less than 8 or 10 inches, nobody noticed that is snowed - lol. They have the equipment to take care of it, and people know how to drive etc.
As for the driving in the UK - THEY are wrong. We got it RIGHT. I rented a car in Scotland a few years back. When I returned it they asked if there were any problems. I reported, as a defect, that the steering wheel was on the wrong side. lol. Fortunately the clerk was a good sport - she got a kick out of it and told me the Americans got it wrong. Oh well....
You take care Hon - stay warm and keep busy.
Bare Hugs,
Butty

Hi Raife,
I saw on the news, and they say global warming lol...where? Snow is so pretty but quite dangerous if you dont know how to deal with it and I know YOU do!

So good to hear from you !!
