~No Drama's Today~ :-) (so far) :-)

Its that time again to write of my daily dramas :-)
Twernt any today, well not so far anyway.. Been a
good day. I did get up early, 5am to be exact.. Ive
been steady doing stuff to help Donnie and Penny.
I designed and printed some business cards for
Donnie and his new business with his friend Gerry,
and I got a email account for them, which on the
first set of cards I didn't put it on, and it should
have been, so I fixed it.. Its so amazing what you
can do.. I used my PSP to design and then Micro
works to table and print it out.. Worked great...

I am making Penny a flyer and some business cards
too. She needs more clients to help pay her car
insurance, plus she needs to go to the dentist, AND
she REALLY needs a computer. I told her to try to
get one of those new little ones, a ASUS I think,
not ACER :-) Its small.. I think something like 8
inches or so. it would be perfect for her, then she
could take it with her and not leave it at the house
where no telling who would mess with it, all the people
she has living there, it wouldn't be safe.

I used to do marketing when I worked for an export
crating company in Houston.. I liked that, most of my
time was on the phone, talking to customers and
prospective customers, I helped with the advertising
for the company and promotions, was a great job,
specially the talking part, THAT is ONE thing I KNOW
I'm good at :-) And I got to dress up everyday. I
don't think unless it was a bad weather day or some
thing 99% of the time I dressed up.. Heels..pretty
outfit.. Well I never knew when I would be called on
to perhaps sit in on a meeting with a customer or
be called to go and see one, which happened not often,
the salesmen did that, but its happened...Plus I did
NOT mind dressing up :-) THAT was one of the main
joys of working.. for me anyway !! :-)

Things are just getting so bad.. Pennys son, hes 32, he
and his cousin, a bit older have gone to 52 places to
apply for a job.. and these guys have found NOTHING!
This to me is scarey...What are these people with kids
gonna do? I know I listened to my parents and some
friends talk about the great depression.. My dad, years
ago, told me, "Lois, the depression was so bad, we paid
200 dollars for this house, and almost lost it, it was so
bad". And that's happening NOW! I worry that the boy
wont get enough jobs to keep his new business going..
from what he said this morning when I called, they have
5 jobs lined up already.. Whats the best advertising?
A sign on your truck and neighbors watching you.. We
got a lot of business that way.. We did one tree job in
a neighborhood and just about every house on that
street needed some work done and we spent weeks
on that street.. Donnie is doing the same thing.. The
neighbors where they built the first deck, they saw
it, came over, and now they have another job to do..
Ive got these guys, my son, Penny, all in my prayers,
when I say them though I include everyone that is
jobless and searching.. It worries me...BUT-

One thing I am NOT worried about is my lunch.. I
sent Penny to the store to get some cube steaks.
Which is a cheap steak that has been beaten with a
hammer .. No, they put them through a tenderizer
at the store but you can tenderized any meat with a
special mallet or hammer type thing.. just pound the
daylights out of it...makes them very tender . THEN,
I lightly brown them, then cook the onion, seasoning,
and then pour a can of diced tomatoes over that
and simmer for 45 minutes or so.. Good? well I
I think so and with mashed potatoes and whole kernel
corn.. Great lunch :-)

I'm ready to eat so that means the close of this
post for today.. Rainy, windy and cold here too,
My stumps have been telling me ALL DAY!! :-)
This GORGEOUS WEEBLE is hungry, time for my
"G'day, G'day"... :-)

Y'all have a good one now, Y'hear? love ya and Thanks!
Always, Lois ****

"God Bless You" is my prayer today,
I'm honored to call you "friend".
I pray the Lord will keep you safe,
Until I write again....

Something about the Depression we tend to forget - It severely affected the birth rate. Most families only had one or two children.
